humility33: AS Roma made a mistake for letting this guy for cheap He would have been helpful to them now that he has come of age.... I rate him better than Tammy in skill, composure, technique and finishing Tammy playing for Roma now warranted the comparison cos am confused why you made that strong assertion. Sadeeq at Roma was a pure rookie who still has a lot to do and mind you some clubs don't have time for such development. The same Sadeeq didnt cut it with Ranger. Roma made mistake for letting Sadeeq leave?what was his situation then...just like say Wolfsburg made mistake with Osimehn. Osimehn in Wolfsburg was totally down in confidence but Belgium moved turned Osimehn around and he is reaping it now....just like Awoniyi had a turn around with a loan move to Belgium and Germany. Pls let's Sadeeq continue with his rejuvenating form.Hope to see him in higher league before we started rating him than any striker. My Oga Sadeeq is not better than Tammy for now and is not comparable. |

Philosopher1979: This is the reason i believe we should have at least 2 players for each position. This will make the team stronger and not too dependent on a few players and create competition in the team. Also, we will not loose out at vital momments due to injuries, poor form or withdrawals. This is why i dont ignore any good player out there. Football is funny and anything may happen at anytime Yes you are right but with pool of talents we have now we have enough but now left for Rohr to do the needful. |

Danielnino00: It's a well known fact that Moses was picking games to play for the super eagles... In 7 years with the super eagles,he manages just 37 games... In the whole of 2015, he played zero games for the super eagles... Always coming up with all sort of injury excuses while being available for selection at his club... Oga Daniel then what do you have to say about Austin Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo picking matches to play during 2006 WC qualifications. Jay Okocha 14 years 73 appearances 14 goals Kanu 17 years 86 appearances 12 goals Victor Moses 7 years 37 appearances 12 goals ...mathematically by years spent with eagles Victor Moses did well in term of appearances based on his 7 years with better goal ratio. |

ChrisKels: At a time when he started hugging news paper headlines at Chelsea, dude obviously became unhappy with his decision of pitching his tent with the eagles, he felt he was too quick with his decision and he felt he was with the wrong team, as his then Chelsea exploits would have gotten him some England caps. His body language alone gave him out. If Moses had known he was gonna be good enough to sign a contract at Chelsea and even win a starting berth, he wouldn’t have agreed to play for Nigeria in the first place. Sir I believe this is your opinion and view about Victor attitudes. I want to tell you that our own thorough bred Austin Okocha attitudes in his later stages with eagles was damn worse than Victor Moses and it cost us 2006 WC qualification. Victor Moses was a former England youth player who later turned out as ex Nigeria international...pls for that decision alone he has done well and he deserves our praises. I don't want Victor back cos we have good guys in Chuckwueze and Ejuke. |

Elvisu: Just an update on this topic. I and some of my guys applied for the entry visa to Croatia in November 2020 and our passports came out in January 2021 without visas. Actually we made a mistake while filling the visa application form. One of the information we entered was wrong and I believe that was why the visa was denied.
The employer that gave us the work and resident permit approval letter which we used in applying told us to reapply again and we did that in April 2021 which was after three months of the first denial. This time everything was ok. Till now our passports are still with the Croatia embassy in South Africa. They don’t have embassy in Nigeria and the work and resident permit approval letter will expire in September 2021. We don’t know actually what is delaying our passports though there was a slight changes concerning Croatia work and resident permit approval for third world countries nationals. The law took effect from this year. The embassy is replying emails sent to them.
That is the situation for now. I thought you are widely traveled why Croatia this time around and funny enough for work permit. A man that have been to Singapore with stop over in Ethiopia and Thailand.I remeber you watched 2018 World cup live in Moscow and st Petersburg.if I remember your first flight was Lagos to Douala in Cameroon in 2010. fabyom: Oga Kog, 2005 u-20 final against same Argentina, the referee and Messi cheated us (2 fluke penalties). That is the reason I dislike Messi till today. Dived to win two fortuitous penalties against us while Obasi/Ogbuke scored one of the most incredible goals in footy. Most of those players played for both sides in that Olympic final, so Argentina was not that superior to us. Even Messi was anonymous in that game, the pass to Di maria was his major highlight! Had it been Sia1 was not sentimental, we could have won. Also, as a SE coach, he kept inviting that useless Okoronkwo not until the media started raising eyebrows. Fsby man good morning and happy Sunday. Sentiment or not Siasia raised a very good team cos I love his gut starting home based Chibuzor Okonkwo against Messi. Bro my question why are we always judged our local coaches.... Siasia did very well with that team and not winning Olympic gold should not be an issue, remember we won Atlanta 96 with bunch of experienced players and old boys. I asked a question when last did any Nigeria team beat Argentina in a proper tournament that you are nailing Siasia for not winning Olympic gold. Siasia had a good call up,okoronkwo accepted just like Rohr keep on inviting Shehu Abdullahi. |

We could have won if he had started the team that demolished Belgium in the semi final instead, playing Isaac Promise was more important to him. He lacked those final details. Faby you said we could have won the final with Anichebe and beating Argentina would have been easy with Messi and remember our own talisman Mikel couldn't make it. I have a question to ask do you remember the last time we beat Argentina in a proper tournament? |

fabyom: The team was mostly made up of the 2005 under 20 finalist with Nsofor and Osaze. It was a solid team. Obasi, Nsofor, Osaze and Anichebe at that tournament was one of the best attacking talent. Did Isaac Promise deserve to be the captain, in the first place? Starting him in the final after dropping him in the quarter and semi final cos of his below per performance was criminal! Like I said earlier, he might be tactically sound but his call ups ... ! Samson Siasia overall performance with Nigeria national teams showed that nothing wrong with his call ups. He was very solid with good attacking team and I repeat it again nobody gave him a chance at 2008 Olympic final starting Anichebe was inconsequential cos we lost to a team that had Messi,so give it to him. Atlanta 96 team were real super eagles with Uche Okechuckwu,Sunday Oliseh,Dan Amokachie,Emma Amuneke,Victor Ikpeba,Austin Okocha all US 94 team with Tijani Babangida who was also member but dropped.Hope you remember that Kanu Nwankwo,Taribo West,Celestine Babayaro,Mobi Oparaku,Wilson Oruma and Garba Lawal were already Super eagles players before Atlanta 96. My point is this we just need to appreciate our own. What Siasia did in 2008 Olympics Bonfrere Jo cannot do it. |

12large1: So, why did oliseh, Siasia and keshi failed for qualify us for ANC for us to even consider Rohr?? If oliseh and Siasia had done a good job, we won’t had hired rohr Large man i remember vividly how we failed to qualify for 2006 WC and almost lost out in 2010 with foreign coaches until NFF appointed Shuaibu Amodu and he did a yeoman job. My man not qualified for Afcon should not always be used as yardstick to measure our local coaches. The same local coach won us afcon in 2013 and out of our six World cup qualifications three belonged to local coaches...Shuaibu Amodu(2002&2010) though Amodu was denied to lead the team to mundial and Stephen Keshi(2014) Rohr qualified us for afcon after missing out on two occasions a plus for him but we are above that presently.France failed to qualify for Italian 90 and US 94 but won France 98 world cup. The fact is this we are struggling with Rohr despite the talents we have in various leagues. I think you initial post have nailed it all by saying no sound coach would accept treatment being meted on Rohr meaning Rohr see Nigeria as a safe haven. Truly your post also emphasis on difficulties always face by local coaches on the hand of,NFF which showed that the major issue militigating against Nigeria football is NFF. |

TheGoodJoe: Special assistant on sports to Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari, Daniel Amokachi, has now come out to reveal Rohr’s contract contains a huge $2 million compensation clause, which in his view is a terrible choice considering how the football body treated indigenous coaches like Sunday Olisey and Emmanuel Amuneke.
“For the administration to bring somebody like Oliseh and not giving him time because he’s Nigerian and they let go,” Amokachi told Brila FM.
“To bring in somebody like Amuneke and not giving him time then they let him go. Then you bring a new coach where those two coaches are far better than him; pedigree-wise and portfolio-wise.
“But still, they gave the machinery a lot of money, $60 plus with all the bonuses, if they play two matches in a month, then you’re talking over $100,000.
“And then at the end of the day, you put a $2m clause on a coach that has never won anything. A coach that came from Burkina Faso to Tunisia then to Nigeria and you put a $2m clause, that’s the first I’m hearing such.
“If you were bringing Guardiola you can put $10m if he says he wants it because you know who he is; he has won laurels. But for a coach that has not done anything, not achieved anything and you put a $2m clause? There’s a lot of failure in that.
“I’ll not rate them (NFF) out of 10, but all these things I’ve broken down will tell anybody with common sense where I’m coming from.”
https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2020/12/daniel-amokachi-blasts-nff-for-allowing-2-million-compensation-clause-in-gernot-rohrs-contract-but-owing-oliseh-and-amuneke.html
But the Nigerian coaches are corrupt and Rhor is Saint Obi. Yes I brought this $2m clause issue to this thread and nobody cared. Hmm wahala dey and only Pinnick can tell us what motivated him to agree to such deal.Definitely this is pure corruption. |

Is Rhor clean? Rhor is doing deal to share salary in NFF but he is not perceived as corrupt.
It is just mindset Nigerians have inferiority complex and will do anything to run or sabotage their own to have a white man rule them. I knew something shady is going on with that wicked clause in Rohr contract. |
