Let always be civic in addressing these players, truly critical analysis is allowed but saying football is not their calling sound some how... |

charlesemeka85: Through their official website, English Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced that they have completed the signing of Nigeria Football Federation target Michael Olise.
Olise is returning to a London club more than five years after he departed Chelsea, where he was on schoolboy terms prior to joining the Manchester City academy.
The current English Football League Young Player of the Season ended his association with Reading by inking a multi-year contract with the Eagles, until the end of the 2025-2026 campaign.
Following a banner season that saw him directly participate in 19 goals (7 goals, 12 assists) in 44 Championship games, the attacking midfielder was heavily courted by several Premier League clubs.
Speaking to Palace TV after the deal was confirmed, Olise said : "I had a conversation with the manager and he was talking about how he sees me in the team: the plans, the development and the vision for the club. It’s very good, so I thought it was a good fit.
"It’s a big moment: Premier League football. The Premier League is known to be the top league in the world, so it’s definitely going to be a lot tougher. But nothing that I’m not ready for".
Olise is Crystal Palace's first signing under new manager Patrick Vieira, and has been allocated the number 7 jersey for the 2021-2022 season. Please who is Richard Olise who just signed for Chelsea academy |

If you don't rate him just say it.This is a player that played in Portuguese league,Spanish LA liga,Turkish league and English Championship and what is so special about Watford "abi no be" the same Watford of Success and Ekong. Mind you I don't really fancy Etebo style of play but sometimes we just need to take it cool on our players. |

charlesemeka85: Kuwaiti Premier League side Kuwait Sporting Club have confirmed via their official Instagram account the signing of former Nigeria international John Obi Mikel.
Though the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, the defensive midfielder will be a player of Kuwait SC until at least the end of the 2021-2022 season.
In a two-minute, 24-second video posted on Kuwait SC's Instagram page, Mikel thanked the President of the club for having faith in him and vowed to put in his maximum effort to help the club achieve their goals next season.
In his first words after the deal was confirmed, Mikel said : "I am very happy to sign for Kuwait SC, I thank the President of Kuwait SC for the trust that he has given to me to come to Kuwait.
"I promise to be on my best level to help the team to make sure that together as a team we can achieve a great season next year and hopefully we can be successful".
Mikel previously had spells with foreign teams in England, Norway, China and Turkey.
The ex-Super Eagles captain recorded 372 appearances in all competitions during a ten-and-a-half-year association with Chelsea, including 59 matches in the Champions League and four in the knockout rounds of the Europa League. Dele is a good goalkeeper but Guinea afcon qualification nailed his chances of returning to eagles. Thank to Vincent Enyeama for given him the opportunity of professional contract in Europe. How I wish all SE players can learnt from Enyeama,Ejide and Dele despite being rivals they assisted each other careers |

andrewbaba44: You are not making sense ,just because of you don’t like akpeyi
Akpeyi starting for eagles was never on discussion here when we have Maduka and uzoho available ,so what sense are you trying to make now by saying people that want akpeyi to be recalled will be angry about Maduka good form ? It's simple the best three Nigeria keepers are Maduka Okoye,Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi so what a fuss. Even good to have old Akpeyi in camp with two young keepers. Since Alloy Agu has failed to give us good goalkeeper in NPFL then Akpeyi still deserve a call up I think Ezenwa who is not in top 6 ranking in NPFL is still getting eagles call up even old returning Dele Aiyenugba of Kwara United is better than Ezenwa in NPFL. Respect to my university coach Amusa Adisa who was goalkeeper trainer to 2002 WC for giving us Vincent Enyeama and Austin Ejide and late Dele Aiyenugba. |

fabyom: Oga Kog, remember we won the Olympics just 2 years earlier. On paper, the 1998 squad was our best-assembled team ever. Our bench was filled with stars. We lost against Paraguay cos we have already qualified and we played our second team. We defeated both Spain and Bulgaria two very good teams. We outplayed the Danes on every front. Both Kanu and Okocha were squandering one chance after the other. Only someone that watched highlights will tell me that beaten Spain and Bulgaria was fluke. Oga Fab..are you saying we outplayed Danes? Yes 1998 best on paper but not a very good team....yes we beat Spain and Bulgaria but Paraguay exposed us and Denmark nailed us. |

TheGoodJoe: After the spanking by Netherland, a lot of our players hired special coaches and worked extra time to get their sharpness.
The discipline was there and also the Spaniards played well.
They were a sound side. Remember they demolished the Bulgarisns 6-0.
At the end, we matched them.
I don't think Zubizaretta should he fully blamed for Garba Lawal's goal. It was an unexpected direction and he still did his best to save it.
I still believe our determination and concentration was our biggest strength. Even in Atlanta but we lost it after beating Bulgaria.
If we continued with that passion, we would have gone a long way. Oga thegoodjoe hmmm...pls just blame Zubizaretta for that Lawal goal. |

Philosopher1979: They were fighting over match bonus with nff officials and some of the players were carrying women. Also, the coach was brought in a few months to the tournament. indiscipline, bad administration everywhere. The team was not focused on the match. In fact, forget our victory over Spain. We had quality players but the team was divided and in disarray. I thought you guys would have said missing 1996 and 1998 afcons have a negative impact on Super eagles development......the eagles team list to South Africa 96 was a bomb cos it was a mixture of US 94 and Atlanta 96 team. As you said, winning Spain was a fluke cos prior to world cup the team was struggling losing 5-1 to Holland....losing against Denmark wasn't surprising |

IDENNAA: You are ignorant if you say forgiveness is not a tribalist. I have known that man for many years on this forum. He spent a lot of times in politics section fighting tribal war with Igbos.
Subsequently, he carried that attitude to this section and infected it with tribalism. He surreptitiously weave his comments as to fhool the unawares. His comments certainly follow a patterns that suggest a strong ethnic leanings and sentiments.
