Let's say Kayode and Ajagun were also part of the 35 man list which included kelechi Nwakali, would you know?

If Rohr didn't give us this info today about Nwakali, would you know?

The 4 other players that made the number up to 35 have not been revealed and we won't know until it is revealed. But the point is that, those 5 names were removed and the list pruned down to 30 by Rohr. If it was a 35 man list that was released, then i am certain that Kayodo's name will be on it.

I will bet that apart from kayode, Ajagun, Henry Onyeakuru, and either Peter Olayinka or Kalu will be in that 35 man list.

Why the hue and cry?... huh Why the fuss?....

Isn't it obvious that Rohr found all the extra 5 names surplus to the teams requirements? undecided which is simply an indication that this 5 extra players didn't measure up to the names in the first 30?

What is your problem?

Kayode is a Top 9.. Compare him to the top 9 will have in the team... Ighalo, Iheanacho, Simy and see that he doesn't come anywhere close to any of these 3.

Ighalo club career goals = 100
National team career goals = 4

Iheanacho club career goals = 15
National team career goals including youth teams = 16

Simy club career goals = 56
No national team experience yet

Kayode club career goals = 45
National team career goals including youth teams = 4

Let it be known to you that Kayode played U17 in 2009 = 0 goals
He played U20 teams in 2011 & 2013 = 4 goals
He played u23 = 0 goals
Super Eagles 4 caps = 0 goals

Is this the kind of blunt striker that you are selling to us?... Is this the kind of wasteful striker that you are trying to force down our throats?... undecided

The only person in direct competition to him is Iheanacho but let it be known to you that Iheanacho a younger teen to kayode is far more clinical than kayode. Iheanacho excelled in the same youth team where kayode failed during his time. Iheanacho took his opportunity with both hands when club and country came calling, so there is actually no basis here for comparison.

Give it a rest already as kayode is the same league of Ideye(another very blunt striker) and Nwankweam tongue

Kayode is a FLOP!.. Kayode is a BIG FLOP!!... I repeat.. KAYODE IS A BIG FLOP,!,!!
Oh Kayode a flop?No well I know why you said this, good to enjoy you and forgiveness on further discussion on it.

i told someone here that Aina is in the level he is now because he was born in England, so many Nigeria NPL players are better than him by far.

Echiejile was miles better than him when he was his age. make Rohr just close eyes pick one out of them and hopefully Idowu will be fit through out the tournerment.
Pls is Idowu better than Echiejile of 2010-2014?NO

The issue now is we are having Echiejile who has lost form to the level that we don't have options than to stick with any available option.

Idowu of today is not better than Echiejile of 2014 talk less of Aina

On NPFL players better than Aina, yes we have them just like in any other positions in eagles but technically they are not better.

I have a friend Sunday Johnson playing for Kwara United in late 90s and only outfield home based player to make Sydney 2000 Olympics football team. This guy is a baller and one of the two home based players always getting invitation under coach Thijs Librecjth.

This guy was better than Finidi and Tijani combined, fast and highly skilled. He went to Ajax trial and was successful but failed medical. When he came back he said o boy i know nothing about football, am just talented but technically am zero.

This is the problem with NPFL players and our coaches are not helping matter in their development.

I watched Cara of Congo against Enyimba live and i cry for Nigeria league, what a terrible displayed by Enyimba.

i saw CHAN LB and Fly eagles captain Ikwuonmen and i shook my head, not yet there, good option for him is to go to Europe and start developing but seeing him in NPFL again next year, is like talents going into extinction.

Jesussssss! shocked shocked

Bhuuuhahaha! When I talk say Nwakali dey 35 man list, dem wan chop me raw. This is revelation from the horses mouth. grin

The bias coaches hid their dubious ways until God used Rohr's mouth to confess him sin. Nonsense.

Imagine, Nwakali in 35 man list? shocked

What did he do throughout the whole season to deserve to be on the list ahead of those who did better than him?

Well, now i know selection into the National team is man know man. The goalkeeper coach, the Chief coach and his assistance are Nigerians and they are his back room staff.

We can see they only call players based on nepotism to national team. GBAM

Breeze don blow foul yanch don show. Nonsense.

I knew this is unusual of this coach not to use the advantage to call 35 players to chop since FIFA allowed. Lol. Chai!

Some people can be mumu for dis country for life. As for me I have learnt alot of tricks and mago mago of our people.

Make I see who go call my theory conspiracy theories. Smh
Oga forgiveness i think you have been in this business for so long and you must know better how Nigeria national team selection goes irrespective of coach(foreign or local)

Different interest came into players selection and do not be deceived Rohr must listened to his back room staffs, so what they give him he works with.

I want to tell you that five dropped players from original 35 man list played against Atletico, and one keep on asking why players like Samuel Kalu,Ebere Eze,Peter Olayinka and Ajagun were not called up even if Rohr has seen enough of Nwakaeme,Kayode,Alampasu and Esiti.

Sir this is Nigeria nothing should surprised you,a lot of damn pressure from officials, agents and backroom staffs, bros you should know better,Nigeria factor and it would take an highly discipline coach to succeed.

I remember i was having discussion with Humility017 and i said i know a lot about eagles especially players invitations.

Check Simeon injury issue,an NFF official insisted that Simeon must have another medical check up in London cos he was suspecting conspiracy. This are the pressure a coach face in managing Nigeria national team.

But good things is that Rohr is getting it right by managing the team irrespective of players recommended to him.He gave them the opportunity but if you don't measured up you are out

Sir let's hope for better WC irrespective of players involved cos 2018 w definitely determine 2019 Afcon and 2022 WC.

as CB back up. Awaziem is left-back back up. We don't have good options, obviously
Agbo making it would bring a question mark on Rohr credibility and i don't see Rohr dropping 2010 WC experience and over 50 caps Echiejile or little Aina as back up for Awaziem who has not really exert himself in his primary role in eagles, not possible.

From day 1,I haven't seen anything spectacular abt aina as far as I am concerned. Majority here only have soft spot for him based on d fact dt he switched Nationals, not dt, he's a better option to echiejile

Like I av said b4,if aina were to b a thorough bred naija player,he wouldn't av made d 30man list to start with cool

I prefer dt utin udo to aina self cool
Pls i want to ask you a question, did Aina forced himself on Nigeria cos you are comparing what is not comparable,Aina and Utin Udo.

Echiejile making the team would just be based on his experience and being part of the team, noting more.

And what a pity Echiejile is now slugging it out with Aina not even Idowu, just to tell you Echiejile is not in good form and not Echiejile of 2010-2014.

I watched Congo match all over again,if not for the fake penalty committed by Aina,he was better than Echiejile in that match.

Pls tell me simple thing Echiejile did in that match.

Rohr is the coach and if he believe Echiejile is better, good. All we need is better performance from our boys irrespective of who make the team.

But trying to rubbish one player to promote another is what i know as taunting analysis.

If you don't rate Aina simple,no offence cos as am typing this I don't rate Awaziem but i will not come here and say Eze is better than him cos i don't rate him.

With the available players, Rohr can can only hope to play a pragmatic style of football like Simione's Athletico. The raft of defensive midfielders makes it impossible to impose a possession style of football with this team.
I expect to see them defend deep and get as quickly as they can to the opposition's box with long balls and quick combinations. The method will need hard runners on the wings and a striker with good hold up play. Creating chances from dead balls will also be key.
Baba you are right with the types of midfielders we have, hope to see good outing at WC.

Mikel don’t play like Okocha, but they both can hold the ball, control the game, and spray passes. Are there other Nigerian players wirn these attributes even outside the 30 man list?
I don't want to talk again outside 30 man list but Rohr need to mange this team especially midfield.

What happened to Brazil against Germany would be a child play cos the team was exposed due to players with similar style of play (Fernadinho,Paulinho,Ramirez,Gustavo) in the midfield and with players like Onazi, Etebo,Agu,Joel, and Ogu am foreseeing issues if not managed tactically.

It's apparent that without Mikel the team will keep on struggling.Hope Rohr will do the needful tactically.

If Iheanacho is to be played from the wings it has to be the RWF position. Iheanacho is practically useless if played from the Left Wing.

Iwobi plays from both left wing and Right same with Victor Moses.

For those that don't want Iwobi on the wings, who plays the left wing if Moses is on the Right and Mikel is in the AM position?
I think for Iwobi to make the team he just have to play from wing cos some one so special is ahead of him as AM and with the absence of Simeon Moses we just need Iwobi more on the wing or what do you think.

I'm one of the few here that canvassed for his invitation, him and Adeleye after WAFU but after watching him critically he is not in the same league with Omeruo talk less of Awaziem.

It seem some are not following what is going on in the camp cos in two aside training Eze find it difficult to make the team,so how is he going to make 25 man list to London unless injury occurs.

On his height,i don't think we have short CB,Balogun, Ekong,Omeruo and Awaziem are above 6 ft,so Eze height doesn't give us any advantage.

Chidi Nwanu was a short CB that put a tall Uche Okafor on the bench at US 94.Godwin Opara was short CB but highly gifted,so what we need is not physical appearance but intelligent defenders since we are not going for Rugby.

What a painful memories,Yekini was on his way with only keeper to beat but was wrestling down and penalty given to Italy was just a collision between Eguavoen and Italian defender.
