Winner Nigeria Vs Angola plays winner Zambia vs Sudan.

Just like i have criticized players like Okpotu. I have also praised players like Eze and Faleye. I have also praised the center defense for the good job so far.

If i see positives, i will mention them.

Maybe some players will have a late bloom and play for Nigeria but younger players have better chances.

What is the common denominator of all the players that you mentioned? Youth, under 20

They were young players in youth competitions. Young players can improve. That is why we wanted a youthful team because they might have a future.

Faleye is young so even if he is not perfect now, he can improve. Is it 37 years old Rabiu Ali that is going to improve?
Apart from Rabiu Ali or may be Okpotu,Osas and Ezenwa, pls do we have any of these players who are over 30 years of age cos it seems you don't see anything good in this team, pls softly they are humans like us.

The criticism is just too my much, pls spare them and for saying they can't make Eagles in the future, nobody knows what future holds for him.

Did you know Nwakaeme is 28 years and just got a cap against Algeria playing in Isreali league.Mike Emenalo came from nowhere and gatecrashed into US 94 team around 30 years of age and funny enough he was playing for non league club in Europe.

Apart from Faleye, none of the others have a super eagles future. Old and not good enough. Faleye's age means he can improve with the right training.

We saw Osas during WAFU. Whenever there was a player who could run at him directly. He was skinned alive. So far, he has not faced any lively winger.
Pls don't say apart from Faleye, any of the boys can make eagles team in the future.

Taribo West was damn terrible during Mauritius 93 benched by Emma Teberen but later came out stronger in the national team.

Kanu Nwankwo couldn't break into Mauritius 93 starting team but later became a force to reckon with in the World of football.

Jonathan Akpoborie was very averaged during 1985 U17 Kodak WC but later became only player in the squad that had successful professional career.

Joseph Yobo was a member of Nigeria 99 that had poor outing but later emerged as one of the reliable player to play in eagles.

On their age,pls how old is Nwakaeme who just got a cap for Eagles.

At least now u even have your own NPFL player that u are biased for.

Orji was better than Eze to me. Eze was rash and he gave away the corner that resulted in the goal when he could have kicked out for throwing. I have noticed that he can get overwhelmed and make silly decisions
What a pity Adeleye didn't make it due to injury cos i remember against Ghana in the WAFU final the moment Adeleye got injured Eze was exposed and we conceded four goals.

I watched Orji during NPFL invitational tournament the guy looked okay and so far look calmed than Eze.Eze seems to be overwhelmed occasionally.

I remember icon4s said this about him during WAFU and you are saying the same thing again and i noticed it too but good is going to Europe where he would be polished.

I know Ideye is not that kind of player that will score dozens of goals in the La Liga. He does not have such abilities. Take that.

And Rohr has since dropped him from amongst the strikers?

The primary responsibility of striker is to hit the net. Even AMs and wingers are expected to score goals talk more of an out and out striker.

Any player from the forwards can hold up play. Ighalo, Iwobi, and Mikel do that a lot.
Oh Rohr dropped him not a big deal,Ighalo was dropped too but bad performance against South Africa paved way for Ighalo against Cameroon even strikers like Nwakaeme and Aaron Samuel made the squad or do you want to tell me Aaron and Nwakaeme are better than Ideye.

Remeber the same Rohr dropped Iheanacho to the bench for the same Ighalo he dropped for Iheanacho against Algeria and South Africa.

This is to yell you Rohr can drop any player as at that time cos the team was evolving and was looking for immediate solution after South Africa match and thank God he started Ighalo instead of Nwakaeme and Aaron cos a lot on this thread wanted average Nwakaeme and Aaron over Ighalo and Iheanacho against Cameroon, may be we would have kicked our WC bye bye.

If Ighalo can be recalled who i don't rate personally right from U20 days until Cameroon match then do not write Ideye off.

Exactly! those two examples you gave in that last paragraph are the only highlights that some one who we call a striker has had in all his Super Eagles career.

And you think I will rate him to go and start blowing away defenses at the Spanish La Liga. I will just say a big well done to his agents. That was a great move for his career.
Pls get my point am relating Ideye status with the likes of Nwakaeme who some rate highly

Truly you preferred Kayode over Ideye but I believe Ideye would add more to the team than Kayode.

I don't think i would rate a 28 years old Nwakaeme with a cap over experience 29 years old Ideye, that's my point.

I know you don't rate Ideye even if he score dozens of goals and your last paragraph has confirm it.which is normal cos i have some players i don't rate too.

Brown Ideye is a player I have followed since 2007.

Much was expected of him as a young player then. The only time he put up a descent showing was at the 2013 AFCON but what followed that at the Confed Cup? A big flop. Westbrom made a record signing for him even when he was still is his relatively descent form and he flopped.

Apart from the 2013 he has never had it good with the GWG. He is not just that kind of player you would be excited over a move to Malaga.

I do not rate Nwakaeme either but I will take Kayode over Ideye.
Excitement on Ideye to Malaga? No o but good moved for his career and good for Eagles if he is in Rohr plan.

Yes he had a great 2013 for Eagles but his flopped for Eagles was over exaggerated by fans and Keshi dropped him for mediocre like Uchebo and Nwofor.

Apart from Mikel at confederation tell me a Nigerian player that had good performance even Oduamandi went AWOL after the hat trick against Haiti.

Yes a flopped at West Brom which wasn't new in football cos we have seen a lot of great players who are flopped but still pick up their career somewhere else and flourished, hope you remember Sallah was a flopped at Chelsea but see him now shaking EPL.

Well you preferrred Kayode meaning different opinions. On a good day i supposed to pick Kayode based on my relationship with him but Ideye is somebody i respect so much when used behind a point man, check Iheanacho goal against Zambia and Afcon 2013 behind Emenike, reminded me of early Yekini & Siasia partnership upfront.

A player that flopped even when he was at his prime.

Abeg who else is making a January move jare?
Sir it seems you don't rate Ideye but i would pick him ahead of Nwakaeme and Kayode anytime any day in Super eagles jersey.

I think Malaga need him considering their position in the league, they can't just signed him to warm the bench though left for him to prove himself and Kayode not able to make the mark at Girona doesn't have anything to do with Ideye moved to Malaga,we might see a rejuvenated Ideye.

What do you want to say about Iheanacho situation at Leicester, funny enough sometimes Iheanacho don't even make match day squad or do we say Nacho is not good enough.Honestly what work for A might not work for B so let's put our fingers cross and see how things unfolds.

Let's hope it works for Ideye and other potential January movers cos WC is knocking and we need them at their top form.

That is how you view it. Perfectly stated, devoid of any sentiments.

But do you know there are some peeps here who are waiting for Ezenwa to fail so that Rohr will drop him completely from the WC team?

Which test will he receive in this CHAN that would be more than what he received against Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria. All 4 matches he only conceded two goals from penalties. He has kept several clean sheets for the Eagles despite some of his lapses.

I tell you some are just waiting for that moment to nail him. They will not give him credit for keeping clean sheet but are quick to point to cases where he was out of position. Has their been any goalkeeper that is always in perfect position?

Someone even said he will not give Ezenwa any credits but we shall watch and see as the team gets to the final. If you wish Ezenwa to fail it simply means you want the team to fail. Simple.

This CHAN is only going to boost Ezenwa's confidence level and rating.

I am telling you. Its not just him, if it was Ajiboye and Afelokhai that have had the kind of performance Ezenwa has had thus far they would not be singing the same song.
I don't think there is need for comparison,i mean Ezenwa vs Ajiboye or any upcoming keepers cos Ezenwa has the experience which put him ahead.

I w pick Ezenwa ahead of Ajiboye or Uzoho based on experience but when it comes to talent and rudiment of goalkeeping i will would go for Uzoho and Ajiboye cos have watched the trio critically but for now Ezenwa is ahead based on his performance especially against Cameroon and Zambia.

I will not deceive you some are watching CHAN cos of Ezenwa, not to criticise him but to see his development as a WC bound keeper.

I understand your point.

But there is no way a goalkeeper will be in perfect position all the time. As rightly pointed by petrobros, u saw Petre Cech make some wrong decisions in dealing with aerial balls today.

We all know Ezenwa is not world class but you cannot dispute the fact that he is about the best we have in the local league.

I am not expecting a perfect performance from him. In fact I have lowered my standard for the entire team.

We will all keep following the tournament with a closer look at Ezenwa.

tbaba your analysis on Ezenwa is on point and your last paragraphy has said it all and a good football analyst would definitely pay special attention on Ezenwa cos he is one of our world cup bound keeper and world class performance is expected from him though so far he is having cool tournament except some crosses which has been the issue, hope he works on it.

A CHAN team that hardly plays together still won a complete league side and you think the coach of the losing side is better? Look at it rationally na.

Today, one small club called Appiah tiger something something in Australia beat Japanese league all stars 7:3. I hope you know the janaese league all stars is equivalent to our CHAN eagles?

So what do you say about that?
That's my opinion cos i watched six NPFL invitational tournament and I know what am saying, sometimes winning does not determine better coach.

Indeed... Congratulatuons are still in order. because of BascoVanVeli, I took notice of this Faleye guy even before the first game. But now I am much more interested. Dude is young and was easily our best today again. Against Rwanda, Salisu also said Faleye was our best and did so well... This guy is really talented.

I know that maybe only Ezenwa is WC bound from this team but at least, I see hope for the future in Faleye. He is the youngest in the lineup and I wonder what that 15 or 16 yr old we also took to this CHAN can do.... The young ones no dey smile at all again...

I thought he was the highest goal scorer last season so he deserves the invitation but only Salisu can say something on why he made the team since we are not in camp but to be honest Okpotu is not doing enough as a point man.
