The problem is that, I already said that that is why he is doing wonders. With the squad that took fourth last season, he has tried to make us a brilliant passing side. It takes a lot of drills and hardwork to achieve that.
That does not mean City is not an aging side. If Guardiola is doing wonders then Conte is doing what!I don't want to come in coz u always look for a way out and i always respect u for that but something is cleared Guardiola is not getting it right at d moment.I hope he w not be sacked at d end coz d heat is already on and he need to find a way out. |

goldfish80: The argument was that Man city over paid for Stones. Everton dupped Guardiola and Man city in that deal. I asked you if Stones was worth 50M you said yes! Your point was that he had good feet and in his first game he had 96% pass accuracy.
I asked you if he was better than Umtiti and Mustafi whose combined fee is below 50m, you said yes! You claimed he had better pass accuracy than Mustafi then at Valentia. Don't tell me you've forgotten so soon.

Icon4s: Nwobodo no doubts is one of the most promising young talents in the NPFL presently. But when u look at the Current Super Eagles team where players like Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon and Wilfred Ndidi are not even starters u know it would be difficult for him to break in. And when you consider that the players that he may need to compete with for the AM position are almost his age mates (Iwobi, Etebor, probably Iheanacho) u cannot now say he is a talent for "future plans".
In the 90s we had similar cases where some highly skilled and talented players would be making waves in the local league but they never had that opportunity to play for the Super Eagles. Emmanuel Ebiede, Richard (Owo-blow) Owobokiri among others come to mind.
Nwobodo should just continue doing good and hope a European club comes for him soon. That is why I am proposing that U21 team. It is for players like these. Yes w have many of them, very talented but find it difficult to break into Eagles in d 90s,at d home front player like Ochucko otis,Dodo Avaa,Wasiu Taiwo,Duke Udi,Emmanuel Teberen,Monday Agboontaen,Edema Fuludu and foreign based like Richard Owubokiri,Mike obiku,Chris ohenhen,Jonathan Akpoborie,James Obiorah, wilson oruma(in and out). It seems w are already in that era and a lot of talented player w not make Rohr team except exceptional ones. Now d major issue facing Eagles now is RB and urgent solution is needed,d position is open for anybody to grab. Also there is need for back up for LB coz Echieje sometimes a suspect, also a good CB is needed for Ekong and Leon in case of injury or lose of form coz our last match against Algeria Ekong did not really get it right, thanks for Leon for rising to d occasion,so w need a back up and player like Otigba should be given a chance and let us see what he can offer.I want to see d era of 90s where w have four strong CB in d likes of Keshi,Okechuchwu,Nwanu,Uche Okafor We should not forget goalkeeping aspect coz for now, only Ikeme gives us rest of mind and there is need to search for a very matured goalkeeper either home based or foreign,a well composed keeper who can call d short at any given time. Though w have abundance of players in d midfield and attack but we are still having issue with No 9 position. This is d area that w determined how technically sound is Rohr coz he has d players to fill this position, player like Iheanacho,Ideye,Ighalo,Anichebe,Osimieh,Olarewaju, with this pool of players,we should not be having issues. Rohr should used US94 squad as his blue print coz 94 positions w filled with tested players from d bench to d first eleven.Rufai,Agu,Agbonibvare(goalkeepers)Eguavoen,Ezeugo,Iroha,Emenalo(full backs)Keshi,Nwanu,Okechucwu,Okafor(CB)Olishe,Okocha,Adepoju, oliha(midfielders)Yekini,Siasia,Amokachie,Ekoku,Amuneke,Finidi,Ikpeba(attackers) |

terzurum5: Exclusive – Agent Reveals Amount Chelsea Paid John Obi Mikel As Severance Fee
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-27.jpg John Obi Mikel transfer from Chelsea to Chinese side Tianjin Teda happened after the Blues decided not only to allow him leave for free but also reward him for his long service with a severance fee.
The captain of the senior Nigeria national team left Chelsea after ten and half years at the club, after falling out of favour with current manager Antonio Conte.
Conte didn’t name the Nigerian in any of his match day squad, as his table topping side relied on Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante as the midfield pair in their 3-4-3 system.
Mikel according to an intermediary close to him was paid the total wage of the remaining six months of his contract before his move to Tianjin Teda, on a deal twice his pay at Chelsea.
He reportedly received a severance fee worth £2m from Chelsea, which is the total pay package of the last six months of his deal with the Blues.

komekn: Are u saying Mikel perseverance has to do with £80k irrespective whether is playing or not and not hungry means d guy wasn't ambitious.
Kog45 Firstly I said he was on £80k+ with every year and with savvy renegotiation from a good agent he shouldn't be less on on less than £120k a week.
Have no doubt £££ $$$ €€€ is still at the heart of the matter, maximising your income is still the core issue. Playing good football in a nice city with a Manager that has confidence in you are other considerations that are relative and subject to player preference.
Mikel has ABSOLUTELY nothing to prove near 10 years in a top team in a top league at the top of his game. His achievements are excellent and he still has a lot more to give in football.
One man's ambition is another man's failure, what is a successful career in football very open to debate. Mikel will always be in the Nigerian Hall of fame. Thank u for mature response, that's why i always respect your opinions on this thread.!thumb up |

terzurum5: “Oyibo Clash” – Ebuehi Shows Versatility For ADO Den Haag In Battle Against Leon Balogun
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-15.jpg Latest Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi came up against established Eagles man Leon Balogun as ADO Den Haag forced Mainz 05 to a 1-1 draw in a friendly tie.
Ebuehi started on the right while Balogun was introduced as a substitute as he continues to work his way back to full fitness, after shaking off the injury that kept him out of the team’s final round of games towards the end of the first stanza in Germany.
While Balogun slotted in effortlessly in his role as a central defender after coming on with his side leading 1-0, while Ebuehi who lasted the entire duration of the game played in two different roles.
He started as a right full back but ended the game as a left full back, one of the trait that coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr talked about when confirming his availability for Eagles upcoming friendly tie.
The fact that he excelled in both roles will gladden the heart of fans of Super Eagles who are concerned about the full back issues of the team, as noticed during the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.

omar22: You are right, the moment Di Matteo was installed as the interim Chelsea manager, Mereiles, Mikel and Lampard were Roberto's midfield three. Ramires comes in for Mereiles most times, but Mikel was a regular under Di Matteo even when he changed the formation from the 4 3 3 to 4 2 3 1 the following season Mikel was a regular and sold off Mereiles which was his biggest mistake because both Mikel and Lampard failed to protect the defence and this cost Roberto his job, Benithez used Mikel but spearingly, Mikel was dropped for the Europa cup final if am correct and Mourinho bought back Matic which was the beginning of the end of the Nigerian midfielder U shabi ball jo not somebody that was telling us Mikel played champions league final coz of Ramirez and Meireles suspension. |

komekn: It is considerably much easier to be patient and persevere when you are not hungry and your contentment has being massaged with a long term £80k+ weekly wages contract. Are u saying Mikel perseverance has to do with £80k irrespective whether is playing or not and not hungry means d guy wasn't ambitious. I differ with u on this and what i mean by Mikel patience and perseverance was how he was frozen out of Chelsea squad without making any noise about it.I remember how malouda and Anelka were forced to train with d reserves when they tried to express their views on why they are not making d team. Yes,our expectations on Mikel may be high or he failed to live up to d billing but that doesn't downgrade him as a good player who served a top club for 10 years and leaving in peace,Conte and a lot of fans appreciate him for being a thorough professional who doesn't question his coaches decisions. The young lads coning up should emulate him coz to be successful in any profession, ones need to be patience and perseverance irrespective what is coming your way. On 80k weekly, well i cannot say much on it coz it was always secretive to know exact amount this player are collecting but as an African,it is a good pay,u find it so hard to see an African players coming from nowhere and earning big.I still remember Ivanovic d third longest serving Chelsea player is on 65k,also Cahil on 85k but player like newly signings kante 110k and Batsuayi 90k,only club can talk on player wages. Mikel should have been on 100k plus if he was given contract extension but i w not say good for him to go to china but sometimes players considered a lots before moving to another club especially out of Europe.Mikel wish was to remain in Europe but which club is ready to offer him 100k plus. He has paid his due in European football nothing more to prove, good for him at least playing time is guaranteed now and it w help Nigeria qualification to Russia 2018. |

Boss, you can be done. See this point, form wins. That was why Hierro took a free kick and our experience Peter Rufai thought it was going out and failed to cover. Then he escorted the ball into the net.
Bia Nu, why did experience not help him dia. Yes Peter Rufai had a very bad tournament like other players at France 98.Pls go and watch Nig vs Denmark and see how Sand turned Taribo and Okechucwu inside out. Did u know how Rufai make France 98?we had a serious crisis in goalkeeping dept, our NO 1 choice Ike shorunmu had injury in his last league match for fc grasshopper and not forgetting Dosu already had an accident that ruled him out of active football for life. It should be noted that prior to France 98,we had series of friendly matches and keepers in camp like Abiodun Baruwa couldn't live up to expectations and d only option was to call Rufai at d last minute who was still active either with Farense or deportivo la coruna,i cannot recollect. So Rufai choice at France 98 was due to Shorunmu injury and did u know Rufai was even on vacation in Spain when he got d invitation letter. |
