TheGoodJoe: I am talking from statements of the NFF. It is about improving on our end. It is so simple. We could have helped convey Libya from Port Harcourt to Uyo as soon as we knew they did not have money to fly to Uyo.
We should have helped them with buses and security.
The lapses happened because of lack of contingency plans from our end. Libya refused NFF helping hands in Port Harcourt |

The point is simple. We had the capability of given them more logistics support to convey them to Uyo but we didn't. We can improve on this. Anything outside this is just excuses. And Benin too failed in logistics support? Libyans are animals in human bodies |

COOL10: Honestly, I don't think Nigerians give foreign coaches any kind of soft landing. If that was the case, then there wouldn't be a lot of Nigerians like yourself who prefer local coaches.
When Rohr lost to South Africa, C.A.R and drew against Sierra Leone, Nigerians asked for his head. When he won Cameroon, Zambia, South Africa, Argentina, drew against Brazil, qualified us for tournaments with games to spare and eventually won us the AFCON bronze, Nigerians still said he wasn't good enough, so I don't know why some people feel hurt when Eguavoen is called out for losing to a team ranked 126th in the world.
They're not asking for fairness. They're asking for "local coach privilege" and that's just not right. Oh you think i will pick local coach over foreign coach?NO... |

COOL10: Bro, na after 2018 World Cup I been talk say make dem sack Rohr, especially because of that match against Argentina where he didn't make early substitutions, but the NFF refused. They allowed him stay for the 2019 AFCON and he repaid them by getting a well deserved bronze for a team that didn't qualify for the past two editions of the AFCON under local coaches.
Where the NFF got it wrong was to sack him few weeks before the 2021 AFCON. You don't do that to a coach who qualified you with relative ease and expect your team to do well. Eguavoen came and sparkled for just three games because of that "new coach adrenaline" and then lost it afterwards.
Bro, you and I know say if na Rohr been dey in charge of that those games against Ghana, there's no way Nigeria would not have qualified for the 2022 World Cup. Rohr rarely loses or draws a two legged match twice.
The way the NFF sacked Rohr and eventually Peseiro who took us to the AFCON final is what is still affecting us today. Yes you are right on timely of that sack. My major issue regarding foreign and local coaches is soft landing we do give foreign coaches....yes Rohr was sacked for poor results but you forgot that Shaibu Amodu was sacked twice for no reason after qualified Nigeria for FIFA WC twice |

Na dt match dem suppose don sack rohr Naso Dem go dey overrating poor foreign coaches.....at home from 4-0 Sierra Leone hammered back with 4 goals but na excused then but if na local coach na to comot his head......fact still remains Westerhoff and Keshi are the bests |

codemaniacs: very wrong..
some of the players are aging and when I say aging I mean those using a false age.. some players claiming 27 years old are actually 35 - 37 years old and they can't track back or defend effectively..
for the 2nd goal, the player that was meant to defend or intercept the cross to the Rwanda player that scored left the rwanda goalscorer alone and became lackadaisical, lazy and un-interested at that key moment..
all the Nigerian players that are not foreign born and are already 27 years old and above should not be invited any more or they should be benched for younger players.
then the Nigerian attack does not pass the ball often and play as a team once they get the ball close to the box or in the box they shoot aimlessly thereby losing possession to the opposition instead of at least causing a corner kick or passing the ball backwards to another player and keeping possession..
everytime the SE goes forward with the ball and get to the box they should learn to keep the ball in the opposition half for at least 5 minutes by just passing the ball to other players especially when the SE is leading instead of going for goal and not scoring... Falsifying age?who pls,Osimhen,Boniface,Chuckwueze,Iheanacho,Simon,Onyedika,Alhassan,Sadiq,Onyeka,Ndidi born in Nigeria? |

TheSuperNerd: Factual observation Chris. I pointed this out at the time of the substitutions. With Alhassan balling so good alongside Onyedika in the middle, it really baffled me, that sub.
It didn't matter that Onyeka eventually got an assist. The problem of FDB's disconnect all game was still on show till 77mins. Possibly Alhassan got knock cuz there was no reason for that sub. |

Oganigwe: That's why I said he needs serious competition, he plays decently at Fulham but he just lacks the fundamentals that can make him a world class player, way too erratic and brawny than brainy- only good thing working for him is that he's still young and has lots of time to get better. I think it's time for our coaches to study how Westerhoff differentiate between club and national team performance....just check it out are we saying Osho is better than Balogun,Omeruo and Awaziem?..there are more to national team, reason why Westerhoff club form or not it was norm for Yekini,Amokachie and Siasia to make his squad and remember Owubokiri,Mike Obiku and Chris Ohenhen were in top forms during this period,if it's today team a player like Siasia would not make it but guess what Siasia was a real national team player..... |

You lose to Argentina “change coach change coach!!” You lose to C.A.R them go scream “change coach change coach”! One player put a decent shift in Europe they will clamour “bring him bring him”! The player fails to show up them go shout “rubbish player rubbish player” This coach is defensive and conservative bla bla This coach doesn’t strike confidence in me. This keeper is doing well in italy, he should be our number 1, with strong clamour boom!! we lose “he is not ready”. Nwabali errooor!! Nwabali is gooooood!! Sanusi is a carpenter!! booom! Make Nigeria get 10straight wins…1 small loss will have fans defining the team’s future and present…. Defensive/attackminded bla bla bla UNA NO DEY TIRE!!! like this we should not even play WCqualifiers we cannot win any match again. Eguavoen is whack! bring back jpes no sack him bring back rohr..are you mad? when we have Amunike.( Amunike lose 2 matches with heartland, he becomes the highest carpenter coach). most confused fans base in the world Oga minfelix, Nigeria fans are very sensitive when it comes to football analysis and you can't take it from them.....am sorry,I have been watching eagles since 80s and I can say much how we reacts to poor results.....losing to CAR,Guinea Bissau,Rwanda, drew Lesotho and Zimbabwe not acceptable and playing lackadaisical football is Haram to Nigeria fans. |
