Hmmmmm2024: Lere olayinka, will your tribalistic brothers allow him to win ? A Yoruba man came out boldly and said Obi should be supported in 2027 but to you Yoruba are tribalistic and going by last election Atiku and Obi won Osun and Lagos respectively and in south east we all saw how easterners showed liberal politics by voted Obi with 90% of total votes, now tell me real tribal bigots. Obi has a better chance if you guys stop attacking people with different opinions,in fact Nigerians are ready irrespective where he comes from and next election should be Nigeria election not Yoruba,Igbo or Hausa elections |

Jordan Torunarigha should be invited. Good but I don’t mind having Leon Balogun back cuz he is still playing, reason why we need to keep on inviting at least old warriors still doing it in Europe into team squad…..Semi,Ndah and Igbo out, well Balogun,Torunarigha and Akpogunma can do it. |

By and large, having a 3rd place match is a more deterministic and conclusive method of choosing a 3rd placed team. .3rd place wey sometimes Dey sweat than final especially with underdog facing super power team |

Goke7: All these awards are just popularity contests. They will continue to remain controversial.
I remember the year FIFA wanted to award player of the century, they asked people to vote na so maradona win am FIFA vex so tey they created two awards by naming Pele as the FIFA player of the century while naming maradona as the people’s player of the century.
Since then I don’t stress about awards again jare Thank you my man….award wey my good university friend Emma Olisadebe was nominated for in 2002……apart from top 3 no need to give others unnecessary hype…..i just hope one day a Nigerian will win it Time for Osimhen and Lookman to go to prestigious club so that they can compete and get that sentiment that’s attach to fan base |

Truth is that these top European sides (Milan, Madrid, Juve, etc) have extremely high standards even for elite players and our guys rarely move to these teams. We are still to get a proper Naija international play for Madrid. Taribo West was poor with AC Milan but had it good Inter Milan |

TheSuperNerd: Naija Talents Watch: Ebenezer Harcourt, GK, 15yrs *Currently 14 but will be 15 by October 21.
Prodigious Ebenezer starred for Sporting Lagos football academy at the 2024 Gothia Cup in Sweden and he was truly a rock at the back leading Sporting lagos to cleansheets across their first 4-5 games before finally conceeding in the semi finals vs fellow Nigerian side, Beyond Limits FC in a 5-4 win.
He is already noted for his excellent shot stopping, penalty stopping and decent game reading skills. Still young and tender, he will serve as second choice to Nathaniel Nwosu at the Wafu B U20 Afcon Qualifying Tournament kicking off tomorrow.
His tournament winning performances at the Gothia Cup 2024 places him as one of the finest GK Prospects in Nigeria in the U20 and U17 categories.
Hoping his development continues nicely. Na another Maduka Okoye be dis o…good one I hope he makes it to the top |

kennysville: I was just gonna respond with this your line of thought. Then I changed my mind realizing this is TheGoodJoe we are talking about. The Only Good Joe! When he goes in on arguments, na like pitbull. E no dey let off. Tacitly, I think what he is trying to imply essentially is that NFF being who they are, scuttled and mismanaged the Libyans trip to Nigeria. I watched the interview of the Tunisian Pilot of the chartered plane of the Super Eagles, you will know that these Libyans planned the frustration from the get go. Both their trip to Naija and the Eagles to Libya.
If you are coming for an away game, play soccer and not waste time. The moment that bashiru goal entered, suddenly nobody get injury again. That for me, is the defining moment. They have been at this for as long as forever. If TheGoodJoe doesn't get this point, there is no point advancing the argument. When one keep on arguing for winning sake, one loses respect. It was obviously we are in for it with Libya antics in Uyo. If Libya had gotten a draw in Uyo we would not been having this problem |

Goke7: I hope you remember Enyeama was booted out of the team for standing up for his players' rights. The same Oliseh was even coach, I bet you if Eguavien was not the level-headed type we may be hearing different stories today. The Eagles have survived similar situations in time past and gone ahead to play even hours to the game. I repeat it,the Libya situation is different…I can’t remember any similar circumstances that we are held hostage, not able to train for a match. My point no captains will beg his players to play in such extreme conditions. |
