Rest in power Keshi Hmmm if Osho na local boy na bribery allegations go full here.... Taminu better pass Osho😀 |

Osimhen is our goal getter anytime anyday.... but fact Lookman has been the best since Afcon. Oh! Just cuz of Benin match you suddenly forgot Lookman who was denied two goals against Rwanda and Libya. |

TheSuperNerd: Alex Iwobi is surely a mainstay in the Super Eagles midfield but today saw him drop probably one of his worse GWG performances. Iwobi struggled to be incisive and looked leggy in his distribution at times.
He completed 30 passes out of 39 attempted in 72mins of play.
Raphael Onyedika came in at half time and completed the same number of passes (30) out of 36 in lesser time than it took Iwobi. And his passes were mostly purposeful recycles, top distributive and switch plays-effective.
What am I saying? Not that Iwobi needs be replaced by Onyedika. Absolutely not.
But that a metronomic middle game figure like Onyedika should not be left on the bloody bench when he holds the key to how our middle game operates and how our transitions and switchplays happen.
Onyedika should be playing alongside Iwobi and one more midfielder for proper middle game balance that perfectly places our fingers on the trigger of our attacking weapons.
Iwobi, our creative outlet was underpar but thank God for the Metronomic outlet in Onyedika who came in and got our midfield wheels working effectively again. Onyedika need to replace Iwobi.... AE should give us Onyeka-Onyedika-Bashiru |

Starboytwo: I will follow elder KOG on this one. Boniface never play kobo for us.. Him still dey play. Imagine Boniface never score a goal for us but he don sealed second striker position... Dessers is not good enough cuz he is playing in Scottish league? but Leverkussen wonder is always getting the immunity and fans are waiting for his goals, even Osimhen is not enjoying such immunity. My cross with Boniface is that he does not see it as a big deal |

daveP: Fact is Dessers deserve a call up. If bias fon enter this thing, it becomes a basis tomorrow for another stale argument which keeps on adding more nonsense. It is a different thing if he isn't in form. Form is key. I dunno why this simple thing has to generate brouhaha. It will be a much better pov if we say AE doesn't fancy him than all this league this, league that angle used abeg. Ya using SE show up for Nacho, but Chuks has never showed up this entire year yet he keeps getting invites aspa AC Milan or what? Abegi. Let's be honest here. 👍👍👍 |

mekabuachi: Call this call that... What sha it profit a coach to call up everybody and still lose match AE so far has been impressive with his games and even substitution Make una allow coach to do e work This thread is predominantly to discuss eagles so nothing wrong talking about the team list, yes there are questionable invites and from time immemorial it has been like that whether na local or foreign coaches |

yinkeys: Tbh there’s bias when local coaches are in charge They’re trying to keep some of the guys that played u17 for Nigeria Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Chukwueze, Osimhen to be specific You may be right, some guys may not be called up unless they get a European/foreign manager who would minimize sentiments when enlisting players I won’t be shocked if a foreigner drops Troost Ekong, but NFF will fight for his position
Umar Sadiq & Victor Olawoyin are the players I don’t think deserve to be invited I don’t see any issue with the other names Dele Bashiru has not been playing regularly for Lazio but he’s earned his spot based on South Africa & Libya games Hmmm local coaches?Keshi convinced Balogun,Ekong,Ikeme,Hope Akpan….Siasia gave Iwobi and Anichebe needed opportunities….Bashiru got it rolling under local coach…Semi Ajayi made it through John Obuh…..local coach would have given Eberechi Eze eagles debut that Rohr messed up. |

Subzerooo: This stat is not impressive sha, considering he's playing in the Scottish league Sir you remember we do have then Balogun,Aribo and Bassey from Scottish league in our starting eleven. Are you saying Sadiq,Awoniyi and Iheanacho do deserves eagles call ups than Dessers at the moment |

zicky: See that part of his neck you hold, hold tight 😂. Na double standard, once Nigerians fans no rate you, you go explain taya I Dey wait for Yinkeys response…..sincerely I don’t rate Dessers but telling me he does not deserves eagles based on Scottish league football then he missed it….he brought Arokodare to the discussion but forgot that Onyedika is playing in Belgian league. National team invitations are not only meant for EPL,la liga,Seria A,bundesliga and Ligue 1 |

yinkeys: Belgian league > Scottish league So Tolu probably should’ve been invited I thought Onyedika is playing in Belgian league…..Osimhen scored in Europa yesterday and Dessers scored where?….I remembered Balogun Aribo and Bassey do get call up then playing in the same Scottish league? |

yinkeys: Boy won German league (top 5 league) He’s a regular starter for his club In fact he plays in a better league than the one Osimhen plays for at the moment
Ok then Ahmed Musa deserves a call up too Oga am talking eagles here not Leverkussen…..how many goals has he scored for eagles or assist…..mind you I rate him highly but my focal point is eagles……no goal yet but he has sealed second choice striker position? He need to come to the party or else he will lose the immunity of Leverkussen performance |

yinkeys: Cyril Dessers PR team dey this thread Iheanacho is an asset to the Eagles whether you like it or not Boy contributes when called up Before Afcon 2021, people said same about Iheanacho until he showed up against Egypt So this is no news to me I don’t rate Dessers but there is no need to bend the rules….Dessers deserves call up based on his performance |

yinkeys: Competition in that position is really high Moffi, Awoniyi, Arokodare, Orban, Sadiq, Onuachu etc are all fighting for 3rd choice striker Osimhen & Boniface have sealed their spots Scottish league ain’t that competitive though Pls tell us how Boniface sealed 2nd choice striker…..no goal for eagles yet and has not done anything remarkable so far with eagles even with assist…….he should just thank his star that players like Moffi,Sodiq and Awoniyi are in and out with injuries….Apart from Osimhen no one is guaranteed 2nd choice striker…..Scottish league competitive or not Dessers deserve a call up. |
