Kelechi Nwakali is a brilliant talent and one I hold dear to my heart. I honestly believe he has something to offer football and I hope for a bit of light for him.

I am not thinking Super Eagles. That ship sailed when Amunike was treated badly by the NFF. I don't even break my head for Super Eagles again. The NFF and co. can do what they like with it.

I just want to see Kelechi Nwakali show immense attitude in challenging situations. Emerge from it and shine. A Player of the Match performance certainly fits into this prism.

I wonder why TheSuperNerd reporting that Kelechi Nwakali finally gets good minutes and was very impressive bites people.
Hmmm Amunike again,it seems you love Amunike under 17 boys so much

The truth is you must be performing at a top level to get a national team invite, if we start giving excuses for division 3 or farmers league fresh invitee into the team we might be giving chance for mago mago.
Oga 94 and 2024 are different era. The standard difference btw most league was not much.
Oya rate Tanimu and Osho in eagles colour😎......my point is opportunity not lowering invitation standard.

Yes it would be difficult for a player in lower league to get invitation but if opportunity permit and he did well then no wahala

Meanwhile... let me say this now because I see that a few are already waiting to push this as the next agenda on our GK role.

I will scatter that table before you even set it up. Charlesemeka85, I know you are among.

So this is it.....

Even if Maduka Okoye drops a buffon world class performance vs Rwanda, I don't care!!! He will return to the bench as our second choice while Nwabali Stanley continues his deserved role as Super Eagles Number 1.

Thank you for reading. 😎
I watched Maduka keenly last season and his game against Cagliari which was the turning point.I'm still following him till date but fact he is not better than Nwabali in all ramifications

But Taminu was invited to SE squad as a division 3, heaven did not fall. If it happens with Nwakali you know UN no go fit settle the conflict wey go erupt.
Oh you think someone like me and Mujtahida cares...if a player get eagles invite irrespective of the league na him eagles performance be Koko.....reason why I dey use my third eye dey look Boniface.

Emeka Ezeugo got invited from India league and made US 94 team...Uche Okafor was playing in a league I can't even remember...Thompson Oliha for sometime clubless .....Koko be say deliver in eagles colour if a player gets the opportunity

I just dey wait for Tanimu 90 minutes performance...I go scatter this thread for the first time, hyping him....Nwakali review was a dig on kokmne and really surprised some took it serious.

TheSuperNerd report was aiming but thegoodjoe turned it to yes yes and some monikers like humility,Charlesbaba don't want to hear such...Kai division three player.

TheSuperNerd I thought you don retire from Nwakali matter

Their southern mates go japa finish and in 15 years time, all the parastatal heads are Northerners and we should discrimination whereas there is no legible southerner because their northern mates stayed back while they japad.
Let me tell you koko.Nigeria system of government favoured Hausas than any tribe or what do think about federal character commission..... The military ruled of Buhari, Babangida,Abacha and Abdulsalami were designed to favor Hausa/Fulani to the detriment of others and during this period they made themselves so rich and connected in all ministries and parastatals leaving southerners to look elsewhere for succour.

It may interest you to know that Yekini's favorite opposition was Ivory Coast. He scored more against them (7 in 8 games) than against any other opponents in his 37 goals journey across 62 NT games.

After CIV, it was Kenya (5 goals in 4 games).
Thank you Dokita.

SA winning Afcon in 1996 was A COMPLETE FLUKE and it happens due to Nigeria boycotting the NC. After 1996 what has SA tangibly done?
South Africa got readmitted into international football in 1992 and fast forward won Afcon, always Afcon participants, quailified for 3 WCs.... Pls is there anytime SA a minnow in Africa football?

Onyedika and Iwobi are complementary,
I think both should be starting in a midfield three.
Something is missing in our midfield for a very longtime and till date no solution.Iwobi is not the answer, 84 caps and we are still debating his influence in the middle...

super eagles back in Nigeria for Rwanda…its reported that Ola Aina has returned to England
Osayi should step in... Nwabali should be excused to respect his late Dad and let's appreciate Okoye form by fielding him against Rwanda.... Boniface should starts so that we can know maybe he is made for eagles

bros what Kenya and SA were in those days is what Comoros and Cape verde is replicating today…
Kenya since their existence has just qualified for 6afcons out of 34afcons…oga dem be Afcon underdog biko.
pls rate SA from 1991 till date in international football... well Kenya of 80s better than Kenya of today cuz i remeber our matches with them in the 80s when Comoros,Cape Verde, Botswana,Guinea Bissau, Lesotho are not in existence talking Africa football

Seeing them as a tactical midfield 3 option is fine but I already know the Onyeka-Onyedika-Iwobi will be a lot more balanced than the OOB.

I strongly disagree with this. Onyedika and Iwobi easily play together alongside another MF partner.

From your take, you are replacing Iwobi with Bashiru and Bashiru is no final ball expert or chance creator. He is a shooter and BTL AM.
Doctor, make we see Onyeka-Onyedika-Bashiru.... Iwobi and Ndidi should rest.

infact those days minnows were really MINNOWS…like very very poor african teams…not now wey minnows don dey wake up
Madagascar
Comoros
kenya
Lesotho
CAR
Equitorial Guinea
Rwanda
these teams during yekini days were highly mumulized…dem no sabi play anything…even SA during our golden generation days were real amateurs
Kenya are not minnow in the 80s,in fact they made Afcon 88 and i do not think Yekini had any goal against Madagascar, Comoros, Lesotho, CAR, Equitorial Guinea and Rwanda cuz it was not easy then in the 80s for these teams to face bigger teams due to strictly CAF features.

A well widespreads features would have seen Yekini scoring more than 37 goals but anyhow Osimhen is going to beat that record with ease.

South Africa came into the party late in 1991 due to aparthied but fast forward they won Afcon 96,meaning they are not amateurs....yes we beat SA, 4-0 in Lagos but return leg was war and it ended 1-1

Add Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Gambia and Mauritania to the list. Players from these countries now have European exposures and so their level of football awareness has greatly improved.

Even the likes of Senegal, Mali, Angola and Guinea were minnows in the 1980 and 90s.
Chief, how many minnows dey enter Africa qualifier group stage in the 80s.Hope you remeber it was increase in slots before Nigeria made her WC debut....
