EventsRe: Wedding Planning Palaver. Pls Am I Wrong? by kokoye(m): 8:04pm On Jun 11, 2009
Zillion times wrong. 2.5m there is not any deal to me, Am only having an impression of an egocentric and puffed up mentality in the poster which i simply detest. How can a jobless girl see a guy with 2.5m wedding budget as stingy husband?
Again that's where you got it wrong. If you read the original post very well, you will realise that the girl is just trying to coarse the guy into allowing her spend the money the way she wants . . and possibly even get more from him.

Another point of correction: there a zillion girls / guys out there who will never appreciated any kind of help you offer. Cos theyre greedy and can never be statisfied. So even if you spend 10million they will still make you feel bad about it.

Mentioning 2.5M pisses me off. People who truly could spend up to such amount on wedding alone wouldn't have mentioned it in the public like you did. Anyway good luck.

Christianity EtcRe: I Am Done With Intituitionalized Christianity, Would Stop Attending "church" by kokoye(m): 3:52pm On Jun 11, 2009
Kunle,

Thank God for the true spiritual background and upbringing we had as royal ambassadors for christ @ Orita-mefa baptist church. Do you remember those camp meetings?

I share your exact concern - got the point where I really wanted to stop going to church because the world and church have so much deviated from the true teachings of Christ. Unfortunately the world has also associated the success of a pastor with wealth and buildings but not saved souls anymore. I keep wondering why our Naija pastors keep coming to the western countires to open branches when there are still millions of souls yet to be saved even in their own villages; why do pastors condemn us for making pledges to the church even when they know that we regaular send money to charities and both our needy familes. Is really not about beeing a good samaritan - or what has become of that parable?

Nevertheless I still go to church and pick out what is good for me (it is not alway glooomy) and make sure I am a worker for God. True we cannot neglect a true fellowship

God help us all.
EducationRe: What Are Your Experiences Of Hostel Accommodation/life? by kokoye(m): 3:34pm On Jun 11, 2009
My first time outta the house was in uni. A few days after I had settled down, some 2nd yr boys put a senior porter in a locker and kept him there for hours - all because he was doing his rounds and realised some girl was in the hostel late in the night. it was both funny and scary to me. Anyway, those guys got expelled the very next day.

A few days later I met this elderly girl who really liked me and told me outright - I was kinda curious: a 16yr old ibadan mummy's boy, free from his parents for the first time in his life and some girl is already toasting him and asking for a kiss. what is wrong with all this lagos girl sef . . sebi it is boys that is supposed to toast a girlhuh anyway sha, I agreed wink and we started dating. She would coem to my room and we'd do whatsnots till it was time for her to go - I always made the move for her to leave.

So, on this day, she decided she was not going to leave - she wanted to spend the night we me! Me ke, a small jambito who had just recently seen some guys expelled for a similar thing. Anway sha we dragged back n forth, she called me omo mummy and i did not care - i wasnt going to get expelled for for stuff we'd been doin all day anyway and was tired grin. I made a move like i was goin to report her to the senior porter and that was when she finally decided to leave the room.

The next day my name was posted all over her hostel that I was a slacker - the thing pain me no be small cos my friends (most of whom were virgins anyway) started making fun of me and blamed it on my Ibadan orientation.

I did not talk to the girl for almost a yr. Still funny now when i think about it.
FamilyRe: Why Do Poor People Have So Many Kids by kokoye(m): 9:06pm On Jun 10, 2009
That's life - life is NOT fair.

That's why at times you see girls who have done a million abortions and they are the first to get married and have kids; the one who remained a virgin until marriage is still begging for one child after 10 yrs.

No answer for you.
FamilyRe: Why Do Poor People Have So Many Kids by kokoye(m): 8:42pm On Jun 10, 2009
Back in the days, farmers, musicians and actors had multiple wives and children so they could help out in the farms and other business types. By doing so, they kept the business within the family and also with trusted people.

A lot of it all also boils down to peer pressure - some people claim kids as wealth so they go on dropping bombs and so it becomes a kinda competition in jobless communities.

If only kids could be used in filing tax returns in Nigeria, you for hear am!  grin
RomanceRe: How Open Can You Get With Your Feelings? by kokoye(m): 8:26pm On Jun 10, 2009
Of course it is always good to have control over one's emotion. The thing I cant stand is knowing someone is willing to go all the way with you and you're still being cold (due to the points i listed earlier) despite the fact that you know you are with the right person for you.

No need being with someone who will not reciprocate the love you give.

I once mistakenly messed with a girl who at times took joy in making me feel bad at times cos it made her feel good. She admitted having a complex and said she always felt she wasnt good enough for me; always expected me to ignore her at parties and stuff. So all her actions were geared towards expecting to be dumped.

I tried everything possible to make the girl feel good about herself (even at my own expense at times) but na, she said that's who she is and cant change.

So guess what, I left peacefully and we still talk once in a long while. Now she compares every other guy with me and cant seem to settle down. I told her a few wks back that I went out of my way to make her feel good about herself and she should not expect that from most guys - she said she needs deliverance.

God help us all

Sebi iwo ni. At least you admit. That's confidence. And nothing wrong with being cold every once in a loooooong while. We're only human

RomanceRe: How Open Can You Get With Your Feelings? by kokoye(m): 4:14pm On Jun 10, 2009
Top reasons for being cold (although you would not admit it - also part of the problem):

Insecurity

Fear of rejection

Very low self-esteem

Pride

Lack of trust

At times, these are a result of life experiences - growing up with a single parent; parents being taken for granted, etc.

But there is NO LOVE when any of the reasons above are present. A relationship can never been enjoyed when any of the reasons are present. It gets as bad as you not being able to apologise when you are wrong.

Call me whipped but I am HOT and married to a HOT damsel.

abhosts:
Honestly speaking, the attacks towards this dude are unwarranted. He asked if sagging breast at a young age means a girls has been reckless with her body. Now what is dumb about that question?
Now you took the post outta context.

The main reason for the attack is cos the post mentioned 'extremely busty'. Most extremely busty females do eventually sag (depending on the muscles) except they do some surgery.
RomanceRe: If A Girl Is Extremely Busty (breast-wise), Is It A Sign Of Way-Wardness? by kokoye(m): 2:49pm On Jun 03, 2009
@ post.

I think what had happened was that the girl put that insect (forgotten the name now) when she was young - that's why it grew so big.

Sebi the thing don sag. So it shouldnt be hard to pull one of it all the way to Synagogue for prayers and  wayward sampling.
