BusinessRe: Naira Falls To 351/dollar At Black Market by kolexy(m): 11:55am On Jun 28, 2016
Bolustic:
It's simple. The naira will not appreciate until we start producing the foods we import, stop refining the crude our oil abroad, until our universities are world class.

It's just demand and supply. Naira isn't demanded as dollar is.

I don't see the naira appreciating till Dangote refinery starts working in the first quarter of 2019.

My thoughts though.
Reason I didn't support devaluation at this time. The pressure is simply due to trade imbalance.

The Murray Bruce family is one I will never gloat over their present financial debacle. Their history in business starting from their father, devoid of government loot, is one that is worthy of emulation.

PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Is Lagos Light Rail Project Costlier Than That Of Ethiopia? by kolexy(m): 10:18am On Jun 09, 2016
kinibigdeal:
Lagos Light Rail Line is too costly compare to a similar project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia .

Please see below :

Addis Ababa Light Rail Project,Span : 34Km. Cost : $475m
number of Stations : 39
Project Tenure : 2011 - 2015

Status : The project is already completed and running effectively .

Lagos Light Rail project

Span : 27km
Cost : $1.2Bn
number of Stations : 13
project Tenure : 2010 till date
Status : not completed

Is the new 4th mainland bridge worth the cost?
The terrain aren't similar. A part of the rail track will be over water and other possible reasons. And possibly "contract padding".

mandax:
Eternal survivalist strategist, Obasanjo.
Any one that has Buhari's ears is Obasanjo's pal.

$16 billion missing from the energy sector alone during the last OBJ admin.

Halliburton is a clear-cut indictment of OBJ

Halliburton scandal is being swept underground by Buhari.

Others included in the bribery scandal are already in prison, but OBJ circulates near Nigeria's seat of power to avoid prosecution.
It's funny how easy it is to hang accusations on people's neck in Nigeria. The so called $16 billion missing power funds started from the report of the Ndidi Elumelu committee. Other members of the committee alleged the Chairman doctored the report of the committee. Elumelu has not come to deny this, but the deed has been done. The same Elumelu was later arraigned for contract scam in the same power project. While OBJ might have helped himself with some public funds, it appears some people are just bent on ruining his reputation.

PoliticsRe: Why Buhari Doesn't Hate Ndigbo by kolexy(m): 1:55pm On May 09, 2016
TellingItAsItIs:
Buhari hates every southern tribe/non muslim especially igbos because of our doggedness nd non zombieism coupled wit the fact that we saw nothing good in him nd dint fall for his "change" scam.
Picking a yoruba or igbo candidate to run with him is only out of political interest and not love.
This man is a hardened ethnic and religious bigot and his silence on the fulani herdmen menace on SW/SE/SS proves that.
GEJ was anything but a bigot.the north benefitted most from his administration than the SS(almajiri schools, good roads etc.
It is the duty of a good leader to provide good governance for all its peoples irrespective of who voted him in or not but bubu being an oldfashioned bigot fails to realise that.
Well,I wish nigeria the best till 2016.
I don't know if PMB is the best for the seat, but he's clearly a better Leader compared to the former pretender to the presidency. GEJ was President of the SE, by the SE and for the SE. No wonder the projects he did in the SS and are in his village - Federal University, NCDMB, and Airforce base etc.
