We strive to learn the truth, but there are some truths that are so hard to discover that our human logic fails to calculate the right understanding. So we end up leaving these questions unanswered, hoping that some day, the development of human intelligence – or perhaps even divine intervention – will reveal the answers to us and help us get a better grasp of the realities around us. Where does a thought go when it’s forgotten? Do we have free will or is everything predestined? Do our human accomplishments have a long-term, universal significance, or when the world ends, do we all end with it, including what we’ve achieved? When you get to heaven, do you look as you do at the age that you die? Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle? ![]() |

Amidst everything happening in the world today! If you could speak for One minute and be heard by everybody in the world, what would you say? For me, I would say... Let go of hatred, jealousy, & all other negative emotions. Instead focus on positivity and uplifting activities and emotions. We are all human beings and we need to look out for one another. Quit letting ethnicity or superficial differences divide us. We could be so much more. |

President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to honour the invitation by members of the House of Representatives to address them on the security situation in the country as plenary commenced on Thursday in his absence. Members of the House of Representatives had earlier on December 1st passed a resolution to invite President Buhari to brief the house on the true state of the security situation in the country. A lawmaker from Rivers State, Solomon bob then raised a point of order over the President’s refusal to honour the invitation of the house. He asked the Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila to update the House on the subject matter. The Speaker responded by saying the House will wait for official communication from the President. the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, that the National Assembly had no powers to summon the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) over the rising insecurity in the country. Malami had said this in a statement titled, ‘Buhari’s summons: NASS Operates outside constitutional bounds’, on Wednesday. https://www.channelstv.com/2020/12/10/breaking-buhari-absent-as-plenary-commences-in-house-of-reps/

What was Nigeria called before? The former name for Nigeria was the Royal Niger Company Territories. It does not sound like a country name at all! The name “Nigeria” was coined by the future Lady Lugard in an 1897 London Times article. Who Was Flora Shaw? Shaw was born in London into a large family for whom she helped to care. She began her career in journalism in 1886-7 writing for the Pall Mall Gazette and the Manchester Guardian. From 1893 she was colonial editor of The Times, making her the highest paid woman journalist of her day. Writing in The Times in 1897 she coined the name 'Nigeria' for the territories administered by the Royal Niger Company. Having resigned from The Times in 1900, two years later she married a colonial administrator, Sir Frederick Lugard, who was Nigeria's first governor-general from 1912-19, having been governor of Hong Kong from 1907-12. My QUESTION NOW IS: Has The Name NIGERIA BEEN CURSED? OR From your own perspective, where do you think the problems comes from? SUGGEST A NEW NAME FOR NIGERIA
