oga...You have still not answered my questions... Why did Porto signed those players if they are not good enough? Why didn't they let go of Awaziem when Nantes came calling? At least he is not good enough and losing him for a peanut fee wouldn't have any effect on their team.
And ,forget past glories, how many decent players dey that team? No dey hype Porto anyhow bro. Are Atalanta and Lipzeig not below their level yet they are currently the football hotties.
Very simple, na bizness, it's trading within that business model is marketing that means exaggeration to create value and see which foolish club go fall Mugu.

Liverpool did it with near £20 million Solanke to Bournemouth.

I didn't mention Eze and Yahaya... I mentioned Awaziem and Agu...
They don't have to start... considerable game time would be enough to show how good they are..

As far as I can tell, Awaziem was impressive in the few games he played for Porto...he left because he didn't want to continue sitting on the bench...

As for Liverpool, those on loan players won't start not really because they aren't good..it's because Klopp has a special preference for players!
I don't know how many times I have to repeat that to you...
Take for instance, Brewster is a better goal scorer than Firmino but he won't start because he doesn't offer some of the things Firmino offer...Ejaria is more productive as a CM than Wijnaldum, but he doesn't have Wijnaldum work rate, same applies to Grujic...
Misinformation and disinformation.

You are making the simplistic to be unnecessary convoluted.

Very simple Oviemuno is not better than Wijnaldum and Brewster is not better than Firmino "no long ting".

The pharase "you aren't entitled to game time, bla bla" is a fallacy birthed out of your own imagination..it doesn't apply every time...

A lot of coaches have their preference for players.. you can work hard like a horse in training and the coach will still bench you!
Was Lampard not benching Pulisic for the overrated Hudson Odoi at the beginning of the season?
Didn't your boy Iorfa work hard at wolves but was benched? Didn't u say it was due to the politics at wolves??

I repeat again, until a player is given a considerable amount of game time at a club, you can't conclude that he isn't good enough..
Dominic Iorfa refused to sign a long term contract first situation.

Second situation Mendes was running the club by proxy and essentially pushed out a lot of players. At a stage there were more Portuguese sourced players than Port and Benfica in Wolves.

Totally different scenario.

Finally, he was not better than the Portuguese sourced CB. That's a reality.

I repeat you have no right to game time, You must earn it. And that every little opportunity must never be waisted.

How would we know if those players were good enough for Porto if they don't get game time?
If somebody like Awaziem had decided to stay at Porto and play for their B team,we would have concluded that he is crap... But he went to Nantes and Leganes and performed well.. Agu also had a good season at his club.. Zaidu Sanusi had a good season too, that's why Porto want to sign him...if they decide to bench him now, will u conclude that he wasn't good enough ?
It seems very hard for you to comprehend in your parochial sentiment based favoritism.

YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO GAME TIME, you absolutely earn it in from what you do in training in the first instance and conform it from what you do on the field of play, when you get opportunity to play.

Playing for Nantes or bottom of La Liga team Leganes doesn't give you credence to the first team of Porto.

Add to that if Awaziem was so good why were clubs in French league not queuing up to buy him and pay anything to get him.

Oh yes Nantes offered Porto what they thought he was worth a pittance compared to Porto's valuation.

Fast forward to the here and now, he was so outstanding in La Liga that, how many clubs are fighting to get him.

Look at the interest that soon to be SE midfielder Eberechi Eze generated multiple clubs. Why because he was outstanding. And l add this too it if Eze was white that fee would be double.

If Tega Onomah, Osayi, Ovie, Eze, Fikayo, Tosin, Ighalo, played a national league team and scored 5 goals each. I would not talk about.

Because it is in my opinion it is a training pre-season warm up match, in the first instance.

Secondly when you are talking of low level opposition that's 4/5 levels lower than you are then you keep it in perspective.

They had to have some kind of profile for Porto to take notice in the first place. How do we prove what u are saying is true? Do we have a time machine that will enable us to see what would happen if Musa Yahaya had gone to Genk? These players have lost years out of their career messing around with Porto and all u want to say is that they were not good enough.

This same Porto have refused to allow Awaziem leave on a permanent basis. They are systematically holding our players back even a blind man can see that. Does anyone even know what Yahaya looks like right now?
I have personally been to Porto, Sporting, Braga and Benfica. For those who think l only watch English football.

My opinion African players in Portugal who are mostly desperate were treated like cattle and lottery tickets. If we get enough of them, one of them might be really good and we can sell him for big money. That's essentially the business model. Portugal for me was also very corrupt, way too much underhanded dealings.

These clubs buy African players give them a bit of branding and sell them on for a few million or
less. At the time l was there TPI was still in place and they were paying players a disgracegul pennies.

Unfortunately Awaziem falls into that category of of not very valuable assets to be sold on. It's a model that most clubs adopt just to different degrees. Did anybody believe that Omeruo was going to ever play for Chelsea. Why, he was simply not good enough.

Our Nigerian players that played for Porto ain’t good enough to make the team ,why can’t you guys just admit to this than saying they kill the dreams of our naija players ?

Be sincere to your self and tell me if players like musa yahaya Mikel Agu are good enough to start for Porto first team ?

Even awaziem that manage 10 games will just be a squad player at best ,awaziem did well at Nantes and leganes maybe that’s what making most of you guys thinking that he should have been given a chance at Porto ,you forgot there are better players at Porto and porto is far ahead of leganes and Nantes

If Zaidu Sanusi is good enough then he will get game time at Porto, but if Alex telles is still there then him name na sorry

First things first, let us address the bolded...

Please how has Onazi been outstanding and consistent over the last 5 seasons?
As a DM, how many tackles did he make?
How many interceptions?
How many successful ball recovery?
How many MOTMs did he win?
Was he even among the top 5 in his league?
Was he even the best in his team?

Do well to answer that... otherwise, you are a liar!
You highlighted my statement in bold but did not read it. Maybe you lack comprehensiion.

You omitted to make the same level field question with regards to Nwakali, I wonder why DOUBLE STANDARD.

I gave no accolades or commendations to Onazi what l emphasised was a fair and balanced approach to him not a double standard bigoted one. Because he is not your favourite.

Omeruo, Collins and Awaziem were not outstanding in their respective leagues and got relegated. There is nothing to hype or commend.

These are low level clubs that would absolutely struggle in the Championship.

Onazi a player on the last leg of his career, won't give us 5-10 years of service, we already know what he can/cant do, he's not bringing anything new to the team, and very likely won't play for us again unless he ends up being outstanding. Compared to Nwakali who can give us about 10years of football, can plug a hole in the team, a product of our youth team who is still struggling with his career and people eager for him to do well. Mr Kome if you want to be objective and truthful even you will agree with me that you are comparing oranges and apples.
You are biased to the point of bigotry.

Nothing in life is certain however we can make informed projections.

Nwakali has done ABSOLUTE NOTHING in the past 5 years and there is nothing to say he will in the next 5 years.

On the other hand Onazi has been outstanding and consistent but not in recent times. Will he be able to get back to his high level quality in Seria A, will he be able to perform for the next 10 years, l simply do not know.

Onazi player has shown outstanding quality in the past 7 years and Nwakali is yet to achieve 10% of what Onazi has achieved. Indeed may never achieve anything.

I just want to correct the notion or believe that you can get military hardware at cheap prices almost anywhere in the world.
Note: Nigeria does not buy from military contractors but rather engage in direct purchase country - country.
1. Now when a country is buying military hardware from another country, it's a whole different thing entirely because there's no room for corrupt government but mostly military officials to sale under the radar at that cheap price.
2. Bureaucracy: I'm sure you also know Nigeria does not have allies or enemies in global politics and prefer to maintain a neutral stand at all times. Now having a natural stand can have a negative effect coz these guys don't see any reason or treaty to compel them to give you weapons in fact we don't have military partners until of recent when NAF partnered with Pakistan.
Just coz I'm not using something does not mean I have to someone just coz they said they need it.
It'll be difficult for any NATO country to give us free weapons they're not using just coz we asked for it.
In eastern bloc, most sale of weapons are done through backdoor channels and Nigeria isn't doing that now so getting "cheap weapons" isn't easy and it's always followed by circumstance.
You always talk with authority to an extent I think maybe you're a military contractor too cheesy.
Please if you are, help us. We need you cheesy

Now you just said Chinese products are of low quality, then why the constant hammering on Chinese wingloong II?
You keep on stressing on "best value for money" but A29 isn't bad at all. Yes it's expensive, but NAF aren't completely interested in panic buying. In every organisation there's always a long term and short term goal. A29 is part of their long term goal too. I'm sure you know we lack good attack aircraft and we can't keep relying on alpha jets in the next 5-10 years.
Buying 50+ drones does not really make sense when you don't have good aircraft in fleet.

I'm not attacking you about this neither I'm I forcing my opinion on you, but what I'll prefer you do is reduce or limit your criticism on every single thing the armed forces is doing especially purchasing (they're fucking up a lot, but at the same time they're trying even though it's not enough).
Most times your opinions counter each other.
The Wing Loong II UAV's are tried, tested and proven over the years in multiple battlefields across the globe.

Add to that the very competitive price of $1million. Compare that to the American uav's.

You present value view not an argument and your approach is based on sentiment not facts.

I have said the A29 Tucano is way over priced and it's stupid and downright ineptitude to be waiting for 6 years for delivery in completion and 3 years for the first aircraft.

I presented an argument with measured factual comparison not emotion.

l do not assume competence by designated title or position. I ascertain competence by actions, delivery outcome past and present antecedents.

To be substantive show intelligence if you like do some open source research. But using assumptive deductions based on perceptive notions birthed from the self is not the best approach.

Considering our present and historical penchant for sharp practices, in the context of Nigeria that's an approach fraught with inconsistencies in the negative.

If you struggle to comprehend my opinion and or deductions then do a bit more study. My opinions converge thereis no divergence into contradiction.

My expectations are not yours and you may be satisfied with the status quo but l am not.

Onazi is only 27 and has a lot of football left in him and a lot to offer the SE if he can capture his previous form.

I don't think so. The last ones were made in '86! I doubt you'd want to risk stressing the fuselage with its full payload of a modest 1.1 T,4X less than the TAV. Also the Bronco frankly is underpowered with its uprated engines maxing out at 1020 shp still way below the TAV at 1070 shp..

http://www.airvectors.net/avbronco.html

Better to pay 12-15 mn$ max for a 12 ship TAV squadron or 144-180 mn$ and wait 6 mos or a year for full delivery.
Necessity is the mother of invention.

Do you know how old our Alpha jets are❓ in the first instance, and have you seen how we have done the impossible. We even have found a way to manufacture some component locally.

Age is just a number.

What you will find is that the bloated over fed American probably abandoned them for newer and supposedly better and more modern air frames. Some if the Bronco have less than 500 hours air time on the frame.

That not withstanding if the USAF can deploy them very very recently to great effect on routing ISIS from Mosul. Then they are absolutely good enough for the NAF.

We can get them for peanuts or next to nothing but most importantly HERE and NOW. Not on 6 years time. How long will they last is up to the ingenuity of our NAF maintenance engineers. But I can see life cycle of 10 years easily.

You should not be saying this.

Going back to the analogy of of automobiles. There are cars that are considered dead here and nobody can fix them here. But somehow our guys keep these things moving with ingenuity and they will drive them "No Shaking" Warri yo Lagos over far from the smoothest tarmac roads.

Interestingly Philippines and Colombia are replacing their Broncos with A29s while the rest of the OV10 fleet went directly to the scrapyard or museums on display.
You have lost the context.

The context is best value and most effective use of scarce resources.

If the USAF can deploy the OV10 Bronco to great effect albeit it upgraded in fighting against ISIS in Mosul. Then l would be very happy in procuring 60 of these aircraft for the NAF that could be be acquired for next to nothing.

That would be a complete game changer in the NE.

I could add that Peruvian Airforce have replaced there over priced and expensive A29 Tucano and replaced them with the Korean KAI K1 attack aircraft.

One of the problem with our procurement in the Nigerian armed forces. Is we simply do not buy enough to make an over riding impact. Our procurement for aircraft should be in multiples of at least 20.

Our procurement of Armoured fighting vehicles multiple variations, should be in hundreds not multiliples of 10/20 as we have done with the recent Chinese procurement. If Indeed we want to have long lasting sustainable impact in this war on terror and win it comprehensively.

Nnaa , you know the truth. Saka will never turn England down if they approached him. You still would not if it were you. His parents will also advise him to stick with England.

For instance, I am hoping that my very athletic daughter does track and field and if God willing she comes good why would I let him run for Nigeria and regret it for the rest of her life while she can run for U.S and become instantly wealthy. Its common sense, right
I have seen misguided ignorance.

But this is beyond me, absolutely BIGOTED HYPOCRITICAL DOUBLE-STANDARD.

And you have the effrontery to give condemnation to players for choosing England over Nigeria and call them not Nigerian.

You amaze me.

It's like Ibori giving a lecture on the evils of corruption, it's absurd.

And then you say you have been living in Houston for 15 years, it's bewildering. .

As at this time,if Nwakali was English,he would be playing in the EPL or championship..

If the likes of Ibe, Solanke,Shola Ameobi, etc could play in the premier league, what makes you think Nwakali won't??

England has produced a lot of crappy players over the years who have managed to get into premier league and championship teams, and u think Nwakali won't??
There are many too many academy boys that have earned £20k a week in big clubs as youth players. After 3,4,5 yeare they are in non league.

Nwakali is nothing exceptional in reality quite poor.

He is not any better than the boys who did not make it. his talent is very limited and so is his mentality.

Sometimes mentality can be more important than talent.

You said something similar about Osimhen back then..

While,here we are...
Similar being the operative word.

And AT THAT TIME.

And using the framework of competency used in English clubs in that regard IF he had come to England AT THAT TIME. Do you think he would be playing in the EPL ❓ Considering he could not cut it in a less competitive Bundesliga. And a very impatient and less forgiving EPL.

IF is a very big word, with many variables. These decisions and opportunities determine FAILURE or SUCCESS with its very small divide.
