I have never seen a transfer with such conflicting information about the transfer fee.

Different media outlets with huge disparities in fees.

My opinion it is not an advantage to have the highest transfer fee in Africa for a player, who is still developing and has a lot to learn.

It comes with just way too much EXPECTATIONS that a young player who has barely played two seasons of first team professional football. Because it almost expecting him to be the finished article and to hit the ground running.

Napoli will be expecting at least 18 goals fans will expect even more, at the end of the season.

Bros, I don't know what you are trying to justify here.

I doubt there is anyone here who thought Osimhen will not end up great. But as for that game against SA in 2017, he wasn't ready.
Football is not science and mathematics.

It's projection and probability.

Nonetheless, the post TheGoodJoe is referring to is over three years ago. When Osimhen was a mere teenager.

Was struggling in Wolfsburg contrary to the shameless misinformation and misrepresentation that has been presented as facts by a number of misguided contribututors.

That I HATE HIM.

The screen shot is more or less self explanatory taken in context objective yet positive.

Their greatest advantage is the ability to mix with civilians within minutes of retreating from military positions they attacked.
Also the flexibility and great mobility that they have are disadvantageous to us. Immobilize a gun truck and they will get down to trek to their location or hijack vehicles from civilians to move them around.
Thier major weapon is the response of our NA. We repel leave them to comeback another day if not every other day.

That doesn't include me, if my memory doesn’t fail me, Sanusi former CB Governor and Sultan of Kano studied their at one stage.

BTR 3 would do the job.

What l am not able to comprehend is that, Boko is not a conventional army. Thier main weapon apart from IED's is rickety gun trucks with HMG.

These gun trucks are not armoured and are not precision weaponry, it's not like they come with 50 trucks. Just 15/20 gun trucks and we are in major problems.

Even with an AK what do think will happen if you put a few rounds in the engine bay. At least your burst the radiator, the truck will overheat and they will not get very far before the engine seizes.

Why are these rickety gun trucks that are far from accurate. Giving us such fear and creating so much chaos.

How can we build a $160M wall, but can't afford IFVs or 30mm rounds for the army?
It is beyond my comprehension.

Sudan that's not in our category has an arms industry that leaves us in the dark. And many will consider Sudan a backward country.

In terms of ammunition they produce the 12.7mm rounds incendiary and armour piercing. I have no official confirmation but it seems the also produce the 2A42 ammunition 30X165mm.

Israel has covertly bombed thier ordinance factories on a number of occasions and have been a supplier to Isreals enemies. if they were producing just basic munitions don't think Isreal would bother.

Consider this we can't provide basic body armour for our combatants. I looked at the combatants in Governor Zulams convoy. And you see we have some major issues.

Yes, l agree with you.

How can anyone say the Championship is better than the Eredivise. They would need to have first hand insight, experiential knowledge and understanding. To make such a claim.

Because l did not say the Eredivisie is better than the Championship.

However, Florian Jozefzoon who has played for both Ajax and PSV as well as Brentford and now Derby County from his personal experience his conclusion is that the Championship is better.

It's interesting to notice that the Manager of Derby is Philip Cocu, who has been a manager at PSV for 5 years.

That brings up another issue the quality of Manager in the Championship. Once again it's not totally dominated by English Managers. But some very high level top quality managers such as Marco Bielsa, Rafa Benitez, etc.

I really do not know of any other 2nd tier league that can attract so many World class managers.

OK let them now discredit the Governor and call him unpatriotic.

IMO,it depends on how the representatives of the league in question perform in continental competitions.

Juve,Bayern,Madrid and Barca have dominated their respective leagues for long and they also have a strong influence in Europe..
Likewise in Africa, teams like Al Alhy and TP Mazembe have dominated their leagues and CAF competitions.
That shows how good those leagues are.

With respect to the Dutch league,it is a top quality league...forget the UEFA coefficient.. at one time,it was among the top 5 in Europe..

Komekn is just trying to downplay it's quality to prove that Ejuke didn't have a better season than Eze..

Typical...
Your perception cannot be used to define my narrative and or create it. A Lie is an untruth.

You are creating all these assumptions but they are not TRUE they are birthed entirely by you.

The claim was made that Ejuke is better than Eze on the basis that the Eredivisie is better than the championship.

My view was very simple that proposition is simply not proven and or true.

The football is always about the current not the past. And indeed the Eredivisie was dominating European football for quite some time. But not anymore that's History.

The Eredivisie has been hovering just below and or over 10th place for several seasons. The EPL has been on the top for quite some time. That's second place.

And if the Eredivisie is number 9, would you assume it's on par with the EPL so why would you assume that the 2nd tier is therefore lower and or superior to the Championship. On what basis, was my question.

But you have turned into rancourous hostility as usual.

The context of the question was the proposition that because Eze is playing in the championship and Ejuke is therefore better because he plays in the Eredivisie.

Too technical? Are you kidding me. Which players are you talking about? Is it Guedioura who was playing for Al Gharafa, Qatar, Feghouli who was playing for Galatasaray, Belaili who was playing for ES Tunis, or Bennacer who was playing for Empoli-Although he's been good for AC Milan. I am not understanding you. Too creative? Rohr and lack of urgency are to blame for that loss. Unncessary holding of the ball, especially by Etebo. Release the fucking ball. If you are gonna play two holding midfielders then you must rely on quick passes and movement, especially before your opponent establishes order on the defensive. In the 38th minute there was this play by Etebo. Simple short pass he couldn't give. In the 44th minute, what kind of fucking set up is that? I don't even blame Iwobi for the turn over. Those guys left him no choice. Ndidi, 45th minute. Why wouldn't you pass the ball to Iwobi. He was actually asking for it, cos he noticed the spaces. That could've led to something good upfront. 51st minute, Oga Etebo, wetin you dey do? That move by Etebo in the 54th minute is what i want. The same 54th minute, wetin you dey do Old man Musa? grin. Na Clap Rohr just dey clap. grin. 55th minute, enen na that kind thing i dey talk. You see that combination there, old man musa try for that one but him too push the ball for that last play. 57th minute, wetin ol man dey do? En. Two people dey free for flanks you wan form Messi. grin. Anytime Chukwueze do that unproductive thing in the 60th minute again. Komot am. grin. Sometimes this boys never learn until you sit them on the bench. Besides the Algerians were already gased out by the 55th minute. Wetin correct team suppose do? This is exactly why a sound coach is needed. Instruct your players to get themselves in better positions. Simple, Clean passes. If a player doesn't want to comply get him out. Bad decision upon bad decision. I repeat that Algerian team wasn't better. Overall, Iwobi didn't try his best at all. He was terrible. The strength of our wingers went to waste. The midfielders couldn't exploit it. If you are going to play two holding midfielders, make sure one of them is very good at spraying passes that could unleash an attack. But honestly, Etebo would be a hell of a player if he can make better decisions. He exhudes a lot energy. The guy get presence i beg. He get oen stretch like that i come dey find Ndidi like a needle in a haystack. grin
This is a reflection of our Africa DNA where we think football is about dribbling upon dribbling and holding the ball.

This is the one attribute African fans think is enough to get you ahead as a world beater. . European players with little skill will be more effective with football intelligence and the release of the ball at the right time.

In actual fact DECISION MAKING or if you like football intelligence is also a very important skill.

And when you criticise players on this basis they will think you are talking Russian and just being biased.

Carrick in Manchester United was a very limited player in the context of skills and technicality. But he had football intelligence to release the ball correctly on time and accurately.

Over the past 10 seasons Ajax have won the title including this season effectively 6 times. PSV has won it 3 times and Feynoord has won it once.

If I was to be generous l could say its a league dominated by two teams if we look at the past 30 years. PSV and Ajax, you mentioned Feynoord they have only managed to win it once in twenty years.

I will ask you to review the bolded that you have written. I define that as one who knows not, but thinks he knows, and refuses to know, that's the complete definition of CRASS IGNORANCE.

Jean-Gerard Benoit Czajka has been Victor Osimhen’s agent since he was 14 and he moved him to Wolfsburg, Charleroi and then Lille before he was sacked by the player during negotiations for the transfer to Napoli.

He has given reasons why he will now drag Osimhen, Napoli and Lille to court should he not be paid five million Euros for the work he did for the striker to sign for the Italian club.

In this most revealing interview, he also gave a great insight to this much-talked about transfer.

QUESTION: How many years have you worked with Victor Osimhen?

Officially, I signed my first mandate with him and his father, I think he was 16 years old, it was well before the 2015 World Cup in Chile, where he shone. In fact, I have been working with him since the age of 14 with my partners.

How did you get to know him?

It is thanks to my associates in Nigeria. It is especially Shira Yussuf (Editor’s note: one of them) who discovered him at the age of 14, he told me about it very quickly.

Thereafter, we contacted Emmanuel Amuneke, then coach of the country’s U17s. We told him: “Go see this youngster, he’s a phenomenon”.

We insisted, he saw him and gave him a chance in his team.

How did Osimhen get to Europe?

Before the 2015 World Cup, we offered him all over Europe but to no success … And then after the 2015 World Cup, everyone was calling me, but he could have left Africa at a very affordable price. When he exploded in Chile, interest skyrocketed.

Finally, I got him signed when he turned 18 at Wolfsburg, and after Charleroi then in Lille, and finally 99% in Naples …

So, what happened that you weren’t by his side at the last moment (for Napoli transfer)?

Good question … With my partner (Editor’s note: Didier Fresnay), when everything was going to happen, we were suddenly dismissed to be replaced by a new agent (Editor’s note: William D’Avila) …

July 13 in the morning , Victor asked me to accompany him to Naples to finalize everything. I said, “Ok”, but my flight to Naples was finally full and I couldn’t get there.

Fortunately, moreover, because Lille had chartered him a private flight to go to Sardinia, to Olbia, where the two club presidents were present. He couldn’t sign without me.

What was your reaction?

My lawyers sent an email to Victor, Naples and LOSC. And on July 14, I in turn received an email “stopping abruptly and without cause” my mandate of representation with Victor Osimhen which was in effect until January 2021.

While the two clubs had agreed on the terms of the transfer weeks before, and all the details of Victor’s contract were known, the player had his medical visit in Rome during the week. Which is no doubt that his contract was signed with Naples …

One of the reasons given in the media for your sack was that you preferred to negotiate bonuses for yourself. What do you have to say to that?

These are nonsense that they put in the head of the player.

We have correspondences from Napoli, there is a guaranteed commission that we received by email from Mr. Giuntoli (Editor’s note: the Sporting Director of Napoli) of 5M € for the work done, which constitutes about 8% of the total gross contract negotiated.

We were far from negotiating personal bonuses as Victor told the press!

Obviously I am aware that this may seem important to ordinary people, but it is a work of many years, of personal sacrifices which have resulted today in making Victor Osimhen the player he has become, and so the value he now has in the market! And when everything is going to be realized, we are removed to put a new agent!

Can you tell us behind the scenes of the negotiations with the Serie A club?

We have been in contact with them since March. With the Covid-19, we finally managed to see each other at the end of May, early June in Monaco with Giuntoli and then we moved with the player at the beginning of July to Naples.

To be clear, if we were in Italy it was because the two clubs have had an agreement for a long time and they told us so.

I think that Lille were not happy that Victor came back (from Naples) without signing his contract.

They had a knife under the throat with the DNCG (for their professional license).

Did you conduct all the discussions with Napoli?

Yes, and to be honest, Victor did not want to go to Italy. From the start, he has been stuck on the idea of playing in Serie A. He told me that racism issues scared him and that he didn’t feel like moving.

He even told me in March-April: “I don’t want to go and play in Italy even if it’s for Juventus at € 10 million net per year”.

How then did you manage to convince him?

I told Victor that before having such strong ideas, that he had to travel to see for himself, meet people, talk with players who are confronted with racism, etc. … Something that we finally did on July 1, 2 and 3 where we met the coach, the sports director, as well as the president De Laurentiis, who is a man with values and experience, and who seemed to have convinced the player.

Victor also spoke a lot with Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal international defender) and this was decisive in his choice for Napoli.

And then, we imagine that there is also the financial aspect …

Yes, it must also be said, when a big club like Napoli offer you a starting place, with a contract of around 30M € net of taxes (over 6 years), it helps to make a decision at 21!

While you explain to us that for you everything is recorded, the transfer of the player is not yet being made official. What is your reading of this?

What I understand is that they are trying to justify “the work” of the “new agent”, having resumed negotiations from the start.

I am in a hurry to discover the final contract signed by Victor, and to compare it with what we had done with Napoli formally.

On the morning of July 13, Luis Campos and Gérard Lopez contacted me by phone, strongly recommending that I negotiate with this new agent, otherwise, according to them, “I risked losing everything …” For me, Osimhen signed on the 14th, 15th or 16th (July).

You can’t buy a € 60 million player by having him undergo his medical examination without having already signed his contract.

You know Victor Osimhen well, do you think he really understands everything that is happening around him?

There is a lot of pressure. He certainly lost his footing. There’s this William D’Avila who must have been wooing him for a while.

Maybe he told him that we could get him a better deal.

I see him on July 9 in Paris to make a point, on the 13th, he tells me to take the plane to join him, while the new agent is there … It is not possible because it is us who did all the work.

And you do not go twice to Naples, in particular to Sardinia, without having signed contract.

What is your position regarding a possible reconciliation?

We have always worked honestly with Victor, which many agents cannot say, we are within our rights. And if we have to go to court to save face, we’ll go … I would add that in my opinion, we do not go before an organization as serious as the DNCG without providing evidence that the operation of “flagship” sale of the summer will be formalised.

We are quiet. My lawyers have all the documents on the work done. I will therefore assert my rights in court. Afterwards, it is very likely that I can be offered a compensation, which I will not accept.

You have known Victor since the age of 14, from a human angle, do you feel any bitterness after so many years being with him?

This isn’t the first time this has happened in football, and it won’t be the last time, though.

I am lucky to be a structured person and to have a little resources, so I will go to the end, if only for all these agents who are victims of similar situations, but who cannot defend themselves and who lose the fruit of all their work for years …

Adapted from France Football
I am not in the least bit suprised, l actually expected this. Sacking your agent in mid negotiations just does seem legal.

His transfer will go through and the rest will be sorted out in the courts or a settlement will be made.

There was a Nigerian agent Shittu who had a similar situation with Mikel Obi and Manchester United. It was from that situation he made his first VERY big money essentially £millions.

So let the drama begin.

You can't compare a championship player with an Eredivise player unless you are very ignorant...

We know you have mad love for the championship and English football, but don't use it to bellite other leagues..
Because a players is in the EPL it doesn't automatically attribute the player with outstanding quality. What is important is what impact the players has in the league.

What is ignorance, lack.of knowledge

I am not ignorant of the Eredivisie l know coaches and players past and present from the Eredivisie. I don't just follow statistics, l look at the way the statistics are arrived at as well.

Then l converge statistics with first hand experience. A few years ago l spent some time in PSV looked at there systems as well as watched them train and watched matches.

So l would not just jump to blanket conclusion without having it anchored on something. I did not say that the Championship is superior buy that better is open to discussion particularly in context.

The Eredivisie is ranked number 9 in Europe and that's more on account of the exploits of Ajax FC which is on par if not better than many EPL clubs.

We have essentially a one club league, with Ajax winning the title year out year in for donkey years. Ajax has been very successful in Europe as well.

So what you have is Ajax and everybody else. And everyone else is considerably below Ajax in the Eredivisie. How many Eredivisie clubs have had any success in Europe.

So to make the assumption that a league that is ranked number 9 in Europe is better than the second tier of a league ranked number 2 in Europe. Is simply not proven.

We should also consider which is the easiest league to score in the top 20 league in Europe. It's actually the Eredivisie.

And to conclude on that basis he is better than Eze, again is not anchored on anything beyond assumptive preference, by you.

Philosopher1979:
English football is actually changing. The influence of foreign coaches and ideas is improving it. Bielsa at leeds and other coaches is instilling some flair into their players. Komekn is trying to point thus out and he told me and its true. Although komkn is an extremist he is right on this issue
How do you define extremehuhhuh

England looked at France and noticed that France was ahead of them. They also noticed that English players are technically zero.

They decided to address the problem and create a new breed of players. One that is technically astute enough to play in any top league in the World. In addition they realised that the marriage of athleticism with technical ability was essential.

It all started in the top EPL football academies primarily.

Wenger said it's very hard to teach a player to become technically advance and astute once he exceeds 12/13.

So the core development group for skills set is in the age groups 9-12 first phase, the 13-16 is the second major phase of development.

For instance, Liverpool brought in Burrell from Spain to head up the academy. He is now at Manchester city after leaving Liverpool in disgrace for corruption.

Beale who is now Gerard assistant managers was appointed to head the Liverpool fc academy first phase development. He was the former assistance manager at São Piano in Brazil. So that should tell you about the emphasis on technicality.

The new academy head Alex noticed something in Liverpool. Racial bias, he had come from Tottenham and knows. When you marry athleticism with technical ability it's a winning combination.

In this regard l would say Chelsea is ahead I'm terms of quality players produced.

If you look at the young players in England that are making waves you will not find carpenters anymore.

The other thing they have established dribbling, Skills, technical superiority must have end product. Something we in the African sense are yet to appreciate completely.

This is why some of our U17 players struggle on arrival in Europe. Athletically very good but technically poor. And spend a lot of time in the Academies getting up to scratch.

As a consequence the conveyor belt of quality talent coming out of Europe with African heritage players at the forefront. Will make it difficult for African players direct from a lot of African countries to compete.

Look at Mason Mount, Maddison, Phil Foden, Grealish, then our Africa heritage players Zaha, Ruben Loftus, Rashford, Tega, Gomez, etc, etc.

Ok, so long he keeps improving.

As for now, I don't think he's ready to stake a claim.
I agree , let's see where he will end up this transfer season and how much he will improve .

Talking about Iorfa it seems he is more settled in the CB position as opposed to RB where he played most of the time in his early career.
This is not an unusual thing as the preference for ball playing CB 's you will notice a lot more players moving from RB or LB and also DM to become out an out CB's.

Yobo was a winger that became a RB then a CB.

Seyi was a DM for Rotherham but a CB for WBA.

I noticed Mason Holegate has moved from RB to CB for Ancelotti, another example .

Will be watching Swansea playing Brentford tonight, although Swansea are a goal up.

Brentford have the better scoring ability and l think they will win it. My preference is for Swansea to win because it will be easier for Fulham to beat them than Brentford.

Why does Nigerian Army focus a lot on quantity not quality? Why assign 500 poorly equipped soldiers to a job 50 well-equipped soldier could do? See how soldiers are packed together like sardine.
Oh my goodness! How can there be any reasonable level of coordination if this people come under enemy fire?
Have you heard of the term sitting ducks.

Then people will say somebody is giving information to BOKO.

Just look at the way they are moving in a huge convoy no offensive and or defensive formation. They might as well mount a huge speaker announcing that they are on their way.
