Bill #24 right ABOVE is a good way to bring in high-value investment funds in exchange for Nigerian citizenship.

Bill #23 is NOT gonna be acceptable as many illegal immigrants such as the West African Fulani herders and others would migrate from foreign countries to start claiming indigeneship of States belonging to other indigenous people. Bill #23 must be REJECTED ASAP!

BELLA OGUNLANA

Bella Ogunlana (aka Black Panther) is a British-Nigerian wrestler who fought in the UK and Nigeria in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

She was sometimes billed as being from Lagos, Nigeria and sometimes billed as being from Llandudno in North Wales.

She was trained by Orig Williams and fought in matches that were promoted by him in the UK. She also fought for Power Mike Promotions in Nigeria.

She fought against the top women wrestlers of the time, including Mitzi Mueller.

She became world champion when she defeated Rusty Blair in Lagos Nigeria. However, she also lost to Rusty Blair in matches in Kaduna and London.

Bella Ogunlana and other female wrestlers had a difficult time in the UK in the early 1980s. Women's wrestling had not been shown on television and when they were able to get some of their matches on ITV, the TV regulator banned women's wrestling on TV.

She has a sister, Caroline Ogunlana, who is a model.

She was included in the WWE 13 video game.

While some sympathized with the driver, others mocked and criticized him, questioning where he was rushing to. Surprisingly, he walked away from the crash unscathed, leading many to joke that his "village people" were at work. shocked

NewDigitalWorld:
Former Niger Delta freedom fighter, Asari Dokubo, has restated his allegiance to President Bola Tinubu as he gave reason, he cannot abandon him.

Dokubo who had been vocal in his agitation against the Tinubu-led administration held an unusual silence since the President’s declaration of state of emergency in Rivers.

He would, however, make a sudden U-turn on Tuesday as he admitted cannot part ways with the President who he described as his friend,

Speaking in a now viral video on social media, Dokubo recounted how Tinubu stood by him during his darkest days.

Dokubo maintained he renewed his support for the President, stressing that he can never forget what he did to him no matter what happens.

“When you have a friend, it will be difficult for you to part with your friend because you have to look back at yesterday.

“The memories of yesterday will keep on playing up in your head. I am fixed on a spot because in my darkest of time, Ahmed Bola Tinubu stood with me.

“He stood by me. I can’t forget it so easily no matter what happens.” He said.

In an interview last year October, the Ijaw activist recounted how Tinubu protected him from the fury of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He held that his relationship with Tinubu dated back to Nigeria’s military era and was built on loyalty and trust.

“My relationship with Tinubu is that when I was buried alive by his fellow kinsman, Obasanjo, Tinubu- against all odds-came and stood by me, took care of my family, took care of me, send money to me.

“When I came, sent me on a medical trip, bought me my first car when I came out of prison. I can’t leave such a person.” Dokubo had said in the interview.

Idris explained that the decision to impose emergency rule was necessary due to the collapse of governance in the state.

The Federal Government has given an update on the state of emergency declared in Rivers State.

FG assured that the emergency rule will be lifted as soon as normalcy is restored.

Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, made this known in an interview with The Nation newspaper, stating that President Bola Tinubu is committed to reinstating democratic structures in the state.

“As soon as he assesses that sanity has returned to Rivers State, he will ensure the restoration of all democratic structures in that state,” Idris said.

He emphasized that the president has no ulterior motives regarding the state’s governance, dismissing speculations of a political takeover.

“The president has no intention whatsoever to take over the governance of Rivers State. He has no intention to be or to appoint a governor for Rivers State,” he stated.

Idris explained that the decision to impose emergency rule was necessary due to the collapse of governance in the state, which required urgent intervention.

“The way democracy is designed in this country is that the three arms of government must work together, and one will be checking the other,” he said.

“So, we cannot have just the executive functioning and say we have a functional democracy. We didn’t have that, and therefore, the president had to act.”

The minister reiterated that President Tinubu will not keep emergency rule in place longer than necessary, stressing that the move was taken in line with constitutional provisions to restore order.

Court Summons Five Persons For Defamation Of Mercy Chinwo

The complainants said the alleged actions of the defendants are contrary to Sections 391 of the Penal Code and Section 24 (1)(B) of the Cybercrimes (prohibition, prevention etc) Act 2015.

The Chief Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone 2, has summoned five social media users for “criminal defamation” of the reputation of gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo; and her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa.

In the court summons dated April 3, 2024, sighted by Channels Television, Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna ordered the five defendants to appear in person before the court on April 23, 2023, to answer the charges levelled against the complainants.

The complainants in the matter are Blessed Uzochikwa and Mercy Chinwo while the five defendants are Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, DJ Spoiltkid, Terrence 373, and Samuel Agozie.

The suit stemmed from posts made by the defendants last week after the gospel singer and her husband posted a picture of their son on Instagram. After the picture of the baby, who was born in 2023, was posted, the defendants alleged that there was a resemblance between the baby and another gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, and claimed that he was the father, an allegation that went viral.

In a criminal complaint filed by the complainants’ lawyers led by Pelumi Olajengbesi of Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, Mercy Chinwo and her husband said the alleged actions of the defendants amounted to cyber intimidation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking targeted at their persons.

The complainants said the alleged actions of the defendants are contrary to Sections 391 of the Penal Code and Section 24 (1)(B) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.

The “individuals criminally injured the reputation and image of the complainants across the globe resulting from their intentional defamatory posts and an act of cyberstalking,” the lawyers said in a criminal complaint filed before the magistrate.

Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna thereafter directed the five defendants to appear before the court on April 23, 2024, to answer the charges.

Nathaniel Bassey Petitions IGP
Bassey has also taken action over the matter. The ‘Jesus Iye’ crooner — through his lawyers — had petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate and prosecute four persons whom he accused of criminal defamation and cyberstalking. The four social media users in Bassey’s petition are Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot and Dj Spoiltkid.

Bassey’s lawyers said the alleged actions of the four individuals contravened Sections 373 and 375 of the Criminal Code Act as well as Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.).

“The consequences of making such statements on social media have been known to tarnish the reputations of individuals, render marriages unstable, and many never recover from them. International reputation is an asset—both for the individual and for the nation—and it takes time to acquire.

“Consequently, we urge you to use your good offices to, in the interest of justice, investigate this matter, arrest, and bring the suspect to justice, which will serve as a deterrent to others.”

Bassey, popularly known as “Pastor Nath” is the convener of online interdenominational worship programme, Hallelujah Challenge. He also pastors a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Lanrelagboi:
Beyond Rhetoric: Lagos State's Bold Steps Towards a Cleaner, Sustainable Future by Babajide Fadoju

The recent wave of criticism targeting Lagos State’s environmental efforts is not only misleading but dismissive of the substantial work being done to transform the city.

It is one thing to critique; it is another to acknowledge real progress. A recent statement from Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour portrays Lagos as an environmental disaster, suggesting that the state has failed in waste management, sanitation, and urban cleanliness.

However, such a narrative is both inaccurate and ignores the verifiable, strategic reforms implemented under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, particularly through the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources led by Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab.

Lagos generates over 13,000 tonnes of waste daily, the highest of any city in West Africa. Managing such an immense volume of waste requires more than ad hoc suggestions; it demands structured policies and consistent enforcement.

Unlike those who claim the solution is as simple as sweeping the streets, the government has implemented a comprehensive waste management strategy.

LAWMA ensures daily waste collection across all 57 local council development areas, while tricycle compactors have been deployed to service hard-to-reach areas. Recognizing the need for long-term solutions, the government is transitioning from landfill dependency to a structured recycling and waste-to-energy system.

In a bold step towards modernizing waste disposal, the government has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to decommission the Olusosun and Akesan landfills.

These closures are pivotal to mitigating environmental hazards and promoting sustainable urban living. In addition, a waste-to-energy power plant in Epe is being developed to process 2,500 tonnes of waste daily, generating 80 megawatts of electricity, further revolutionizing the state's waste disposal system.

Beyond this, partnerships with international firms such as Jospong Group, Lafarge, and Harvest Waste are ensuring improved recycling, plastic-to-fuel conversion, and electronic waste management.

These are concrete steps towards a cleaner Lagos, not empty rhetoric.
Public sanitation is another area where significant progress has been made.

Over 1,700 public toilets have been established across transport hubs and informal settlements, complemented by Modular Septage Pre-Treatment Plants (MSPP) to ensure proper fecal sludge treatment.

The Lagos Wastewater Management Office monitors more than 300 private wastewater treatment plants, ensuring they adhere to sanitation regulations.

The state’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) policy underscores a structured approach to sanitation management, ensuring financial and environmental sustainability.

Moreover, existing public facilities are undergoing extensive refurbishments, reflecting a holistic approach to improving hygiene standards across Lagos.

Lagos' waterways, previously clogged with refuse, are now being systematically cleaned. The Lagos Marine Waste Operations remove tons of waste from canals and lagoons daily using waste-collection boats and river booms to intercept debris before it reaches the ocean. Meanwhile, urban greening efforts have resulted in over 54,000 new trees being planted across the city, with an additional 50,000 trees planned within the next two years.

The commitment to afforestation was recently reinforced with the planting of 157 trees in Dolphin Estate, ensuring a greener, more environmentally resilient Lagos.

Beyond waste management and sanitation, the government is also making significant strides in infrastructure. Lagos has embarked on a mission to increase its daily potable water supply to 100 million gallons by 2027, with major revamps of Adiyan and Ishashi waterworks underway.

Agreements with WaterAid will restore water supply in underserved communities, underscoring the administration’s commitment to long-term infrastructure development.

Additionally, the rehabilitation of the Akilo Micro Waterworks in Ifako-Ijaiye is poised to restore potable water supply to thousands of households, further cementing Lagos' dedication to sustainable water resource
management.

Housing is also a key component of environmental sustainability. Addressing the housing deficit remains a cornerstone of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's agenda.

The Lagos Home Ownership Mortgage Scheme (LagosHOMS) has already delivered over 20,000 affordable housing units, with 704 additional units under construction in Ikorodu.

In December 2024, the administration signed an MoU for the construction of 704 two-bedroom apartments in Odo Nla, Ikorodu.

These efforts not only provide shelter but also promote proper waste management within planned communities, reducing environmental degradation associated with informal settlements.

While the government leads with action, citizens must also take responsibility.

It is easy to critique LAWMA, LASEPA, and EFAG from the sidelines, but the reality is that adherence to environmental laws determines the success of these efforts.

Market traders must stop dumping refuse into drainage systems, businesses and residents must subscribe to waste collection services instead of engaging in illegal disposal, and communities must support the ban on styrofoam and single-use plastics.

Without collective action, the best-laid plans of the government will not achieve their full impact.

Empty Criticism vs. Measurable Impact

It is easy to list problems. However, the real task lies in addressing them with strategic, long-term solutions rather than sensationalism.

The Lagos State Government is implementing policies that require time and collective responsibility to achieve lasting impact. No city of Lagos’ magnitude transforms overnight, but the progress is undeniable.

Lagos is not stagnant. Lagos is working. And it is an issue on which Mr Gbadebo and the Honourable Commissioner have conversed on before.

This frontal, albeit decietful attack is just below his person. All may be fair in politics but not all is fair in leadership. This is about the people, not scoring some cheap political points.

Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab and his team remain committed to making Lagos cleaner, healthier, and more livable. Constructive engagement—not alarmist rhetoric—is what Lagos needs to move forward.

Constructive engagement and collective responsibility from all stakeholders are essential to actualize these objectives and ensure enduring progress.

National Secretary of the party, Oginni Sunday, who disclosed this in a statement he made available to Vanguard in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, described

It would be recalled that el-Rufai, who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), said the crises in LP, PDP and NNPP were engineered by the APC-led government of the day.

Oginni said, “the ranting of the former Governor of Kaduna State Nasir el-Rufai on the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the suspension of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State from NNPP as a cry of a drowning man”.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria, Canada Sign Code-Sharing Agreement To Allow Airlines Sell Seats To Each by Konquest:
TouchNfollow:
Nigeria, Canada sign code-sharing agreement to allow airlines sell seats to each other

The federal government and the government of Canada have signed a code-sharing agreement to boost efficiency in the aviation industry.

Gbenga Saka, special adviser on digital media to Festus Keyamo, minister of aviation and aerospace development, announced on his X page on Friday.

Codesharing is a practice in the airline industry where two airlines enter into an agreement that allows one to sell seats on a flight operated by the other.

The agreement signed would allow two or more airlines either from Canada or Nigeria to sell seats on each other’s flights.

Speaking during the signing of the agreement, Keyamo said the agreement would advance the relationship between both countries

“Today, we advance our relationship one step further as we sign a very important agreement,” the minister said.

“It is not a full Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA), but one that has to do with codesharing and subsequently, we are going to designate airlines on both sides to move this forward.

“An agreement has come into force today and we will have to communicate with our local operators on both sides.

“Many of them have been actually lining up for this initiative. We have actually granted a few operators approval to run that route already and it is just for them to take advantage of this code sharing agreement to begin operations.”

Keyamo also said the agreement was entered to ignite an aeronautical relationship between both countries.

On his part, Pasquale Salvaggio, high commissioner of Canada to Nigeria, said the agreement indicates the people-to-people ties and the growing bilateral and commercial relations between both countries.

“Code sharing is important because it allows for an airline to place their designator codes on a flight operated by another airline and then to sell tickets on that flight, offering passengers a seamless journey on one ticket,” Salvaggio said.

“So, this is one step in making it a more seamless process for the operators and for the passengers.”

On July 23, 2024, the duo began talks over the possibility of connecting both nations through direct flights.

The two nations also discussed potential business collaboration in the aviation sector.

BusinessRe: Nigerian Man Calls Out Paystack For Alleged Zap Intellectual Property Theft by Konquest: 1:27am On Mar 25, 2025
ogugwa1992:
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to accuse Paystack of intellectual property theft, claiming the company launched a new payment product using a name that was already legally owned by another brand.

The controversy erupted after Paystack announced the launch of "Zap", a product that many believe bears the exact name of a pre-existing fintech company, Zap Africa.

The man, who appears to be familiar with the fintech space, shared online evidence suggesting that Zap Africa has been operating under this name for years and even holds the trademark rights for "Zap" in the software and technology sector.

"A whole Paystack, with all their resources, couldn't come up with an original name? They had to take one that already belongs to another company? This is corporate plagiarism!" he wrote.

Following the revelation, many Nigerians on social media have criticized Paystack, calling it a blatant case of intellectual property theft.

"This is how big corporations take from smaller businesses and act like nothing happened," one user commented.

Another tweeted, "Zap Africa has existed for YEARS. Paystack, do the right thing and change the name. You can’t just take what isn’t yours."

BusinessRe: How Two Childhood Friends Built Zap, Nigeria’s First Non-custodial Exchange by Konquest: 1:12am On Mar 25, 2025
Josepholome:
How Two Childhood Friends Built Zap, Nigeria’s First Non-Custodial Exchange

Would you quit your stable job at Goldman Sachs to start your own crypto company in Nigeria amid a bear market? That’s precisely what our co-founder, Moore Dagogo-Hart did. Meanwhile, our founder and CEO, Tobiloba Asu-Johnson, was completing his master’s degree while laying the foundation for what would become Zap Africa.

Where it all Began

Zap didn’t start as a business idea. It began as a friendship. Tobi and Moore have known each other back when they were 9 years old. Though they attended different universities, they still shared a deep interest in tech and finance. It was during both their university years that they became fully immersed in crypto. But unlike most traders who relied on custodial exchanges, they went the opposite way. They had always been ”DeFi guys,” and they saw the potential of non-custodial exchanges early on and only had their assets in them.

Then came the wake-up call.

The year was 2022. Platforms like Patricia, FTX and Celsius were collapsing, one after the other, Bitcoin had plummeted to $20K, and trust in Nigerian crypto platforms was at an all-time low. They watched as friends, family and everyday people saw their life savings disappear overnight. This caused one of, if not the major challenge in the Nigerian crypto space faces: trust.

Why? Users have no real control over their assets.

Tobi and Moore knew there was a better way. So, they decided to create a solution. They weren’t looking at it from a business perspective, but more as traders who knew what the community truly needed. That’s when Zap was born.

They envisioned a platform where users wouldn’t have to depend on any central entity to hold their funds, a platform where financial security and autonomy were non-negotiable. And that’s when they decided to build Nigeria’s first-ever non-custodial exchange.

Building Zap in the Face of Challenges

Starting a company is never easy, but launching a crypto exchange in the middle of a bear market in a country with unclear regulations? That made it even harder.

There was and still isn’t a clear enough framework for digital assets in Nigeria. This was one of the biggest challenges they faced at first. That’s why securing Zap’s EU VASP license early on was a major milestone.

Funding was another unexpected milestone for us. Zap’s pre-seed round closed at a $4 million valuation, something many startups struggle to achieve so early. You always hear stories of startups struggling for years, scraping by on small rounds, but this brand secured $300K in its first year, allowing the company to scale faster than initially anticipated.

Another big challenge was working with banks. A lot of financial institutions are still very traditional, so they’re quite hesitant to support crypto exchanges. This then leads to difficulties in integrating with them as partners. Even in countries with clearer regulations, banks often impose restrictions that make it harder for users to transact seamlessly.

One of the most important and difficult challenges was building the right team. Hiring skilled individuals is one thing, but finding people with the right mindset is another. Anyone can have a great CV and the right technical skills, but if their attitude isn’t right, it becomes a problem. The founders had to focus not just on recruiting talent but on building a team that can lead and scale together. That foundation is what continues to drive Zap forward today.

And then there’s trust. After so many failed
crypto platforms, why should users believe in Zap? The answer is simple: consistency. The longer Zap stayed, the more people trusted them. That trust is what allows the company to grow.

Over the past year, Zap has seen a significant shift. There are more users, bigger transaction volumes and increased confidence in the Zap platform.

Zap into the Future

Now, Zap is gearing up for our biggest innovation yet… a non-custodial wallet. With it, you will have complete control over your crypto assets. No third-party access. No restrictions. Just pure financial freedom.

With the wallet, you will still have access to Zap’s usual fast swaps, but we’re also introducing international payments, which will make it easier for you to send and receive money across borders in any currency. This is something that hasn’t been done in Africa at scale before.

Another major part of this wallet will be spending. Payments are a big challenge in Nigeria, and we see crypto as a way to solve that problem. So, Zap is building a virtual card, which will allow you to spend your crypto easily.

This is just the beginning. Over time, Zap plans to introduce more ecosystem products. The goal is to create a platform where people can access any financial service they need, all powered by crypto.

In the long run, we don’t just want to see Zap as just a Nigerian exchange. Our vision isn’t just “Nigeria to the future,” it’s Africa to the future. We want Zap to be the go-to crypto platform for Africans. That’s why we’re currently working on expansion into Canada, the US, Europe, and the UK.

Zap is about redefining financial independence in Africa, ensuring that people are no longer at the mercy of failing platforms and broken systems. At the heart of it all are two childhood friends who refused to let obstacles stand in their way.

That's impressive. Being together as friends since childhood would probably make the business model dynamics last longer.

Foreign AffairsRe: Terrorist Attack: Niger Republic Confirms 44 Dead, Declares 3 Days Of Mourning by Konquest: 4:52am On Mar 24, 2025
adenigga:
The government of Niger Republic has confirmed the deaths of 44 civilians in a terrorist attack on Fambita village in the Tillabéri region.

The government attributed the assault to militants of the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara, ISGS.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, disclosed this in a post on his X handle.

DAILY POST earlier reported that at least 44 civilians were killed in a brutal attack by militants from the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara, ISGS, in Fambita, a village in Niger’s volatile Tillabéri region.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, the attack occurred on Friday while Muslim worshippers were observing prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.

The assailants, heavily armed, surrounded the mosque before launching their assault.

“These terrorists, in an act of extreme cruelty, massacred innocent civilians at prayer before systematically setting fire to the market and homes during their retreat,” the statement, broadcast on national television, said.

The attack also left 13 people injured, including four in critical condition. In response to the tragedy, the government has declared a 72-hour national mourning period from Saturday, 23rd March, during which flags will be flown half-mast across the country.

The Minister of State and Acting Minister of the Interior, Army Corps General Salifou Modi, strongly condemned the attack, calling it a “heinous act committed on a Friday, the holy day of Islam, in the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan.”

He further stated that the attack demonstrated that “terrorists and their supporters do not uphold any religious ideals.”

The government has vowed that “these heinous crimes will not go unpunished,” pledging to track down the perpetrators, their sponsors, and their accomplices to bring them to justice.

The massacre comes just two days after the Nigerien military carried out an air-to-ground raid targeting suspected EIGS militants at the Kiral gold mining site in the same region.

The operation reportedly resulted in the deaths of 45 suspected terrorists, according to an official statement.

This has the clear imprint of the criminal Jihadist group headquartered in Mali named JNIM which is an Al-Qaeda affiliate. JNIM has taken over half of Mali and Burkina Faso since the French troops left to be replaced by the highly innefective Russians.
Foreign AffairsRe: US Terminates Legal Status For 500,000 Immigrants by Konquest: 4:47am On Mar 24, 2025

Agency Report

The United States said Friday it was terminating the legal status of hundreds of thousands of immigrants, giving them weeks to leave the country.

President Donald Trump has pledged to carry out the largest deportation campaign in US history and curb immigration, mainly from Latin American nations.

The order affects around 532,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans who came to the United States under a scheme launched in October 2022 by Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden and expanded in January the following year.

They will lose their legal protection 30 days after the Department of Homeland Security’s order is published in the Federal Register, which is scheduled for Tuesday.

That means immigrants sponsored by the programme “must depart the United States” by April 24 unless they have secured another immigration status allowing them to remain in the country, the order says.

Welcome.US, which supports people seeking refuge in the United States, urged those affected by the move to “immediately” seek advice from an immigration lawyer.

The Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (CHNV) program, announced in January 2023, allowed entry to the United States for two years for up to 30,000 migrants per month from the four countries, which have grim human rights records.

Biden touted the plan as a “safe and humane” way to ease pressure on the crowded US-Mexico border.

But the Department of Homeland Security stressed Friday that the scheme was “temporary.”

“Parole is inherently temporary, and parole alone is not an underlying basis for obtaining any immigration status, nor does it constitute an admission to the United States,” it said in the order.

Trump last week invoked rare wartime legislation to fly more than 200 alleged members of a Venezuelan gang to El Salvador, which has offered to imprison migrants and even US citizens at a discount.

Foreign AffairsRe: USA Unveils Most Lethal Fighter Jet Ever , The F-47 by Konquest: 4:44am On Mar 24, 2025
Ganjafama:
President Donald Trump announced on Friday at the Oval Office the production of the F-47, the United States’ latest advancement in air power.

The president stated that, following his directive, the US Air Force is moving forward with “the world’s first sixth-generation fighter jet,” currently being developed by Boeing.

Speaking at a briefing alongside Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, the US leader declared, “Nothing in the world comes even close to it.”

Trump described the F-47 as “the most advanced, most capable, most lethal aircraft ever built,” adding that it is “virtually unseeable.”

He revealed that an experimental version has been secretly in flight for nearly five years and “massively overpowers the capabilities of any other nation.”

Trump asserted that America’s enemies “will never see it coming,” adding, “Hopefully, we won’t have to use it. But if it ever happens, they won’t know what the hell hit them.”

However, the president did not disclose the cost of the aircraft, stating that doing so would reveal its scale and technological specifications.

He also mentioned that some allied nations had expressed interest in purchasing the fighter jet but confirmed that the full version would not be sold to any country.

“We’ll look at toning them down by about 10 per cent, which probably makes sense, because one day, they may not be our allies,” Trump said.

Defence Secretary Hegseth, in his remarks, stated that the programme is called “Next Generation Air Dominance.”

“We’ve had the F-15, the F-16, the F-18, the F-22, the F-25, and now we have the F-47,” he said.

Hegseth added that the F-47 sends “a clear message to our allies that we’re not going anywhere, and to our enemies that we will be able to project power across the globe, unimpeded, for generations to come.”
