Priest arrested in SWFL to be held without bond https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddximagPFMw ~~~~~ WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The Waco Police Department on Tuesday announced it is searching for additional survivors who were sexµally assaulted by Father Anthony Odiong, 55, a Catholic priest. In March of this year, Waco police said they received credible information reporting that the priest - identified as Odiong - had committed a sexµal assault in 2012. Waco PD said two charges of sexµal assault have been filed against Odiong and eight survivors have been identified so far. During the investigation, police identified up to five victims and learned Odiong was in possession of child pornography, an arrest affidavit states. The affidavit states Odiong was using his iPhone and iPad to communicate with the victims and police obtained a search warrant to access Odiong’s iCloud, where they found multiple lewd photos of a girl, the warrant further states. None of the photos showed the child’s face, however, police estimated the child in the photos was most likely 10 years old, the affidavit states. |

sidonlook:I went through his post history and he isn't a Yoruba but of Ibo origin. @Seun and the super moderators have to sit up here to ensure this blatant ethnic incitements on this Website by some unintelligent posters do NOT continue. The users of NL should not be the ones calling on the moderators every time to deal with trolls. Period. |
chidiakwari:That boy you quoted is NOT a Yoruba person. He isn't who he claims to be in his asinine post. |
naptu2:With Lebron James and the others at the 2024 Summers Olympics... It's gonna be lit. |

LL COOL J - Around The Way Girl (Official Music Video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm36viw6q1U?si=IXu122sR-BtAQLra LLCoolJVEVO - 20 Jan 2023 My OG, LL Cool J has always been among my top 5 all-time rap and hip-hop artists right from the 1980s. "Around The Way" was released in 1990 to critical acclaim and it literally evoked memories in me back in 1990, while it shot straight up to the top of the music charts. Let's get into the rotation... "Lisa, Angela, Pamela, Renee, I love you, you're from around the way." |
panafrican:Absolutely. This is one of the FIRST things that came to my mind when the Trump rally shootings and the identity of the 20-year-old shooter was revealed. If Crooks wasn't White, gun shots would have rang out from the Secret Service several seconds earlier to immobilize him. Confirmation bias or "bia training." Period. |
lanre316:@The bolded True that. |
Osanoghodua1:@Osanoghodua1 Thank you for this information about the Iyeki market leadership custom. It's very CLEAR that the woman market leader in the video was just being paranoid and was making a highly defamatory allegation against Folasade Tinubu who has absolutely NO business with Benin or Edo markets leadership, (except she is invited as a guest to an inauguration ceremony and business networking purposes). There's also absolutely NO way a female market leader will come into existence WITHOUT the knowledge of the Oba of Benin. This is the custom in the Edo areas. It's shameful that bigots, propagandists and trolls have seized on this to cast aspersions on Folasade Tinubu here on this thread without understanding things from the perspectives you have shared. Thanks for the insights in your post, and enjoy your day. |
Jokerman:This is clearly a FALSE and highly defamatory allegation being made in the video based on paranoia. Why drag Folasade Tinubu who is the Iya Oloja General of Lagos State into this? There's NO way that a female market leader can come into existence WITHOUT the knowledge of the Oba of Benin. Just like it's done all over Yorubaland, if you are conversant with history, there's usually an Oba's Market close to the palace of every Oba (king) called Oja Oba in Yoruba because from centuries back, commerce and long-distance trading with the Asanti Empire, Mali Empire, Hausaland via the Nupe country, Benin kingdom, etc, and has always been the economic mainstay of the powerful Oyo Empire and other Yoruba kingdoms. This is how Oyo Empire was able to afford to import expensive horses from the North via the Nupe country for the Oyo cavalry which made Oyo Empire to be powerful militarily. Horses had to be constantly replenished because of tsetse fly prevalence centuries back as well. In Benin City, there is an Oba's Market as well close to the palace because commerce has always been a part of the Benin kingdom (and the Benin Empire), therefore, there is NO way that an outsider in the name of Folasade Tinubu can come and impose someone on Edo Market women. The Oba of Benin usually endorses a new female market leader because NOTHING is done without the knowledge of the palace, so, the allegation from the Edo woman in the video that Folasade Tinubu wants to impose another Edo woman on them is CLEARLY false and Folasade Tinubu should take legal action against this woman for defamation. |
Noerection:When I remember the iconic Etim Esin, I remember "Iwuanyanwu National" of the late 1980s which was the club he played for before he moved to Belgium in the late 1980s for his professional soccer career. I was onboard a wide-bodied Airbus A310 plane with the football team members and other private travellers like me while flying back from the beautiful city of Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire in 1987. If the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu family confirms this, it would mark the end of an era for one of the notable businessmen in Nigerian history. |
Throwback:Yes you did... I remember that both of us had a convo on that Mende swampland area when I suggested that Lagos State must copy advanced building standards from the State of Florida which has also experienced the same sinking of houses in their reclaimed swamplands and rising ocean waters with flooding of the city centers. I think this sandfilled swamp in Mende, Maryland in Lagos State was done way back in the 1970s or 1980s and would require controlled demolitions, the use of proper pile foundations and water-proof cements in new building constructions if the sandfilled swampland is still going to be used. |
Klass99:I was just about logging off. I'll respond to this later. Your thought-process is indeed impressive. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Okay Ms. "Gen Z" Uyai... I strongly think it's been long since you got some real good spanking and naughty corner treatment. *Smirk* I gave clear hints in that feedback (even though I used general terms) because I wanted to show that MOST long-term marriages that lead to toxic, unintended consequences emanate right from the "dating phase" when RED FLAGS get ignored. It seems pretty obvious, but a lot of young ones overlook this fact again and again and get burned in the process. As an older man who is also a Gen X, I can tell that this is a fact. The feedback is noted. |
Klass99:@Klass, my pleasure... I'm glad you gained some insights here. I wrote my feedback based off of the fact that I wanted to connect with you and a few readers (who have the eyes to discern things) on the elemental level and NOT just married folks. That's why I spoke in "general terms" while giving hints in my feedback. I had a hunch before posting that first feedback that the tone could likely come off as if I wasn't married but I actually wanted to point out the FACT that a lot of the "challenges and problems" that married folks face start off during the "dating phase" due to the tendency for always overlooking the "negative personality behaviors" and RED FLAGS. When the red flags are NOT ignored, then a long-term relationship with someone that is your type will lead to near-absolute peace in marriage. As to the last part, I don't know if being a "wifey 2.0" is your thing? But I get the thrust of what you're feeling. I'll be going offline in a few minutes. I enjoyed your feedback here. Talk to you soon.Ciao. |
MsFaith:MsFaith, I CLEARLY stated that if a wife/woman throws the "I-told-you-so" repeatedly and sarcastically in your face without empathy, then that'll be considered toxic, and it's one of the things about women that men constantly say drives them up the wall. Of course, NEXT time when a man is going to take a decision that'll affect his finances and family, he'll trust her judgement and try to get some fresh perspectives from her. But that won't happen if she's the type that is always aggressive and sarcastic. |
Klass99:Hey Klass, how's it going? So, generally speaking, there are many variables that can make a man to like (and love) his woman or spouse. It's a confluence of events and NOT just one aspect. A woman can be beautiful (on a scale of 9 out of 10) but if she isn't a good communicator and is BORING or is a stalker, then that's a red flag for me to ditch her either while dating or after marriage if she doesn't drop her insecurities. I would rather co-parent with her than to live under the same roof with her. Beauty in a woman alone has NEVER been enough with me. For me, I'll say that since I'm a very visual person (who loves abstract art works as well), neat dressing, physical looks and personal fitness in my woman matter to me, but the most important thing is the intelligence of a woman and kindness OR genuine emphathy towards others. Those unique qualities in a woman are VERY sexy and attractive especially in a woman who is intentional and has personal goals of her own. I also DON'T like a woman who is a doormat and who CANNOT hold functional conversations on a wide range of issues (without overtly making reference to the stereotypical animated female talk on make-ups, beefing other females, etc). Some narcissistic guys like the idea of a wife or spouse who is a "complete doormat," but NOT me because that's BORING. I like a wife who can have an opinion WITHOUT rubbing it in your face with the "I-told-you-so-attitude" when you make an investment mistake, which can be such a turn-off! So, yeah, a woman who isn't a "daddy's girl" and brings in a lot of "emotional drama and blackmail" while in the dating phase must be ditched ASAP so that she doesn't constitute a nuisance in marriage for any man. I hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your day Klass. Ciao. ![]() |
MsFaith:Nice thread. |
Fineman2:That was a stellar live speech from President Joe Biden yesterday. It evoked a sense of patriotism and was succinctly put. #RespectJoeBiden |
Bobby4090:Succinctly stated. Indeed, the Ibeju-Lekki land that Dangote paid for within the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) is truly 7 times BIGGER than Victoria Island in Lagos State. I was going to make this same point here after reading right from page 1 the HIGHLY insidious and ignorant posts on this thread making reference to the 100 million USD Dangote paid. I don't post all the time, but It's refreshing to reaffirm again that many well-informed NL members like you still exist that can counter the deliberate misinformation and negativity of the well-known insidious trolls and bigots here. |
