ADEADE292: Who's game with this kind of animal mate, am confused when I come across this roasted baboon....to me I see this as pure wickedness.
Bayelsa State folks as seen online will find this roasted baboon to be a delicacy. They proudly eat exotic meat from whales (that have washed up the beaches), octopuses, crocodiles, snakes, seals, monkeys, baboons, turtles, etc. It's their prerogative though. I have no active taste buds for these kinds of meat except white meat from chickens or turkeys.
ehikwe22: No wonder they are always misbehaving. Depots and military trainings camp are not for training but for brainwashing of young minds - same way campus cults do. Imagine what is coming out from the mouth of a soldier. A governor can sack a soldier as long as his identity is known, he just need to take up his phone to place a call and that's the end. I have seen a commissioner of police sack a soldier working in the JTF because they disrespected him, he took all their information, forwarded it to the appropriate authorities and they were locked up for a long time then sacked.
Well said @ehikwe22, I'm on the same page with what you posted here.
Below is a viral video from January 2020 of some highly indisciplined young army cadets who blocked the expressway and caused a traffic gridlock. The Nigerian cadets parked their cars on the road, dancing in the traffic jam on the expressway because according to them, “civilians can’t do anything.”
One of the silly cadets was busy bullying and insulting from a distance a driver who horned by referring to him as a bloody civilian and a bastard.
The army recruitment is just like a campus gang or neighborhood gang "brainwashing of the mind" movement that emphasizes gross indiscipline towards the wider society simply because of the guns they wield. After witnessing military governments in Nigeria from the 1970s to 1999, I've always cautioned these young ones calling for military coups because of the loss of freedom of speech by members of the society and the spikes in corruption and indiscipline in the military governments.
Is this young man talking carelessly and brusquely in the video just a cadet or a soldier? What ever he is, he should get ready to get detained in the guard room and face suspension or outsight dismissal from the Army. Such characters are NOT acceptable in the military. Military personel must obey laws and subordinate themselves in any civilian government dispensation.
The days of military rule and the attendant mass indiscipline and corruption we witnessed from a lot of them back in the 1970s to 1999 are over. Period.
Reminderz: I think this generation ladies have exaggerated the issue of "cravings" when it comes to pregnancy... it now seems like they are the first set of women to get pregnant... the men are now even the promoters of these stupid trends all in the name of stupid love... these low IQ lots using "pregnancy" as a means to ask for crazy stuff and do stupid things... if she asks for stupid stuff at 1am, she will be the one to get it herself... nonsense... women have been getting pregnant and giving birth since centuries, I don't even know what started this shit... and I guess social media is also one of the factors leading to the continuation of this "trend".
these generation females is nothing to write home about...

Arrewa: Kano State Durbar 🇳🇬 or Hawan Sallah or Hawan Daushe as is locally called is a royal parade of thousands of men on horses adorned with garments and regalia. It is a colourful display of culture full of pomp and pageantry. A spectacular traditional concert of and bazaar of African music. It is celebrated at the culmination of Muslim festivals Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. It begins with prayers, followed by a parade of the Emir and his entourage on horses, accompanied by music players, and ending at the Emir's palace
Durbar Festival
The Durbar festival dates back hundreds of years to the time when the Emirate (state) in the north used horses in warfare. During this period, each town, district, and nobility household was expected to contribute a regiment to the defense of the Emirate. Once or twice a year, the Emirate military chiefs invited the various regiments for a Durbar (military parade) for the Emir and his chiefs.
During the parade, regiments would showcase their horsemanship, their preparedness for war, and their loyalty to the Emirate.
Maguzawa, Hausa Traditionalist are participating in this year Durban festival
That's very colorful...The Maguzawa participation in Kano, added variation to the celebration.
Nduka Ugbade was captain of the Golden Eaglets team that won the 1985 FIFA Under 16 World Cup in China. He was also a member of the Flying Eagles squad that came second in the 1989 FIFA Under 21 World Cup in Saudi Arabia. He was also part of the team that won the 1994 African Nations Cup in Tunisia.
Many journalists pleaded with Coach Clemens Westerhof to take him to the 1994 World Cup, so that he would become the first person to feature in all 3 grades of the World Cup, but he was dropped from the team.
He was the assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets from 2011 - 2013.
Wilfred Ndidi was in the Golden Eaglets team in 2012, but he was dropped because of the MRI test. He joined the Flying Eagles the following year.
Ndidi visited his former coach and the boys at the Golden Eaglets camp in Abuja this afternoon.
This is a great thread! It's good to see these guys again on YouTube. I feel nostalgic just benchmarking remarkable events that happened back in the 1980s with these soccer-playing folks.
Ugbade is now the coach of the Golden Eaglets. He was one of the assistants when Emmanuel Amunike won the world cup. I made a thread when Wilfred Ndidi went to visit him last year.
Ugbade almost set a record as the first person to play in cadet, youth and senior World Cups, but unfortunately Westerhof didn't include him in the team to the USA. I remember that many journalists begged Westterhof to include him, but he narrowly missed out.
Awesome... That's good to know. I haven't been keeping a tab on those guys for sometime now so it's nice to know that Nduka is the current coach of the Golden Eaglets.
What sports field of your's did you say Coach Sebastian Brodericks-Imasuen and his boys trained in before proceeding to the China 1985 FIFA World Cup event?
Last but not least, I noticed that some folks are wrongly spelling the name BRODERICKS here and in some newspapers online by NOT putting the letter "S." BRODERICKS is the correct spelling of Coach Sebastian's name NOT "Broderick."
I watched them train on my field before they went to the World Championship in 1985. It was an Under 16 championship back then.
Indeed. It's the end of an iconic sports era with the translation of Coach Sebastian Brodericks.
First off, Happy New Year (2024) @Naptu2. I wish YOU the best, and more power to your elbows as you give us more insights and historic updates via your NL threads.
Whoa! 1985... Unforgettable!
Sebastine Brodericks-Imasuen, led the iconic Golden Eaglets to win the inaugural U-17 World Cup in 1985. The captain of the team Nduka Ugbade from Ugbodu (in Aniocha North) in the defunct Bendel State (now Delta State) and his fellow teammates were simply stellar. It felt like the senior world cup was won at that time in 1985 as millions of us sat glued to the TV screens watching that final soccer match being beamed live from China.
The last I heard was that Nduka Ugbade was working with the elite Corona Schools in Agbara, as a top coach. It's good to know that many from that 1985 set are still alive and spread all over the world.
We are gradually drifting into hot season when reptiles comes out of their hiding places due to heat.
Let's take extra precautions in our homes and offices because some of these creepy creatures may be lurking around and sometimes even living with us without our knowledge.
For instance, in this video, a snake was found comfortably hiding inside a shoe,if not for the extra vigilance of the shoe's owner. It could have been another story. May God be with us!
A mysterious ten foot (three-metre) long black sarcophagus has been opened in Alexandria, found on the northern coast of Egypt and founded by the legendary leader of the same name.
The 6.5ft (two metre) high coffin was first discoveredearlier this month and unearthed in recent days. The 30-ton (27,000 kg) tomb was found buried 16ft (five metres) beneath the ground of the city.
Egyptologists pried open the black granite sarcophagus earlier today to reveal three decomposed bodies.
The stone coffin was also filled with sewage water, which is believed to have increased the rate of decomposition.
sweetmelanin: For those who don't know Phrankleen, he is practically the only visible person on YouTube who has a platform for discussing diaspora issues. However, he is extremely biased and highly irresponsible with the kind of information he puts out there and is deceiving thousands of gullible folks abroad.
These are my top 5 Reasons why Nigerians and other Africans should be careful with this guy:
1. Hypocrisy When it comes to the issue of "Moving back to Africa" Phrankleen is the BIGGEST hypocrite of them all. There are numerous videos on his channel where Phrankleen can be seen talking about how blacks are 'second class citizens' in the West and how we should move back to "live like kings" in our motherland. Yes its true that we aren't exactly first class citizens abroad, however, Phrankleen will not tell you that the average Nigerian is NOT a first class citizen in their own country either! A country where there are very little career prospects for the youth, where everyone is forced to become an 'entrepreneur' doing petty trade for a living like small chops, hair, makeup, barbing, poultry etc.., a country where you gotta know someone who knows someone before you can get anywhere, a country that treats Lebanese, Chinese and Indians more favourably over it's own citizens, a country where a rich man can use the police to oppress you, where law enforcement harass, extort and assault you. No, Phrankleen will never discuss these issues because it will totally flaw the ridiculous "African Utopia" agenda that he so desperately pushes. A major red flag his followers fail to ask themselves is: why is Phrankleen sitting pretty in the UK and asking YOU to relocate? Why hasn't he relocated himself since Nigeria is such a paradise? The irony is that once the whole #EndSars debacle gained traction, Phrankleen found himself having to fess up to how jacked up Nigeria truly is.. however he wasn't gonna go down without a fight.. he still found a way to somehow reinforce his hypocrisy by doing what he does best which is to attribute ALL of Africa's problems to the West. Hence my second point...
2. Blaming 'the West' for Everything - Lack of Accountability Phrankleen loves to put out the message that Africa is in the state it is in because 'the West' have intentionally crippled the economy in order to drive us out of Africa so that they can takeover. Now while that might be partly true, common sense doesn't tell Phrankleen that the West has no power to do anything in Africa that our GREEDY LEADERS don't allow! A camp divided against itself will surely fall. Is the West responsible for the day to day violence, corruption and nepotism that we met out to each other on a daily basis in our own country?
Imagine, this same Phrankleen can be seen talking from two ends of his mouth in a recent video on the #EndSars saga where he urged Nigerians to appeal to 'the West' to intervene in Nigeria's matter! The same West that he preaches against and tells us they are solely responsible for the decay in Africa? The saddest part in that video was when a viewer called to call him out on his hypocrisy, Phrankleen did what he does even better! he cut him off! Which leads me to my third point....
3. Extremely Rude & Childish Behaviour Phrankleen has a habit of cutting people off during his live call in shows. He also deletes comments and blocks anyone who speaks up for the truth. Even those who simply state that Nigeria is not as perfect as he claims, he will quickly delete the comment before more people see it.. why? so that no one can spoil his ridiculous narrative. Phrankleen is also extremely rude and insulting towards anyone with a different opinion to his. Despite being in his late forties, he is a spineless coward who can't take any slight criticism and results to childish and feminine attics when he doesn't get his way.
4. A few of his "stories" are made up Don't get me wrong, some of his stories you can tell are genuinely written by viewers... however, Phrankleen has at least 3 or 4 "storytime" videos which anyone with a discerning mind can tell are bogus, made up stories, concocted for the sole purpose of spreading his pathetic agenda. From his videos you can tell he is someone who has been dealt a bad hand in life - possibly looked down on by family members back home as he isn't doing so well for himself. Therefore, he has made it his full time job (via YouTube) to speak ill of family members of people abroad, how they are all scammers back home, how they judge you based on what you have achieved etc.. to the point of even concocting stories that make no sense just to vent out his inward vitriol.
5. He is bitter and spreads misinformation that could destroy the lives of gullible Nigerians. Phrankleen lives in a council house of which he pays £400 a month (dude admitted this himself) - he is broke and YouTube is his bread and butter hence why he is selling lies and manipulation for profit. Phrankleen also has an ongoing case in court where he is claiming to be a victim of prejudice.... now anyone who has gone to court before will know it's a highly stressful procedure and can affect one's mental stability. I write this piece really as a warning to gullible folks out there who may want to make life-altering decisions based on what this charlatan called Phrankleen tells you - do you really wanna take advise from a broke, bitter soul with a skewed perception of life? Don't let that British accent fool you, he is rotten to the core!
Bonus point: Phrankleen is covertly jealous of successful Nigerians abroad and often speaks ill of Business Analysts, Project Managers, IT contract workers etc... and criticising how they choose to spend their hard earned money!
sweetmelanin: I watched this video recently and kept asking myself why people like Phrankleen (a YouTuber) who has lived a visibly unfavourable existence abroad for many years, will never make a genuine attempt to relocate back to Nigeria permanently, yet, will rather make repetitive videos trashing the West, insulting those who are still abroad making a decent living for themselves.
I've also noticed that whenever people ask Phrankleen what he is still doing in the UK, rather than answer the question, he would result to vicious insults, endless rants and blocking. Why not be the example that you preach? afterall, there are YouTubers who made the move and are living their reality e.g. Sisi Yemmie, Iveoma, Bayo Adio, Sassy Funke etc..
Instead, Phrankleen would rather share potentially made up stories of others who claim to have made the move.
It makes no sense how you can sit in the abroad that you hate, while having enough money to holiday back and forth from Nigeria, but yet refuse to get yourself a one-way ticket and move back home permanently.
TruthsFM: Voice recordings of Mohbad accusing his wife of wanting to Kpai him have surfaced online. Mohbad accused his wife of trying to k!ll him and enjoy his wealth 💔...
Below is a translation of the conversation in the voice recording!
Remember when Mohbad's father mentioned that most of his properties are in his wife's name, and the wife has been making numerous transfers to her mother, right? It's actually true. Mohbad recorded a voice note of himself accusing his wife and sent it to his friend.
Samantha124: Judging by his parents' surname, I think he's a Sotho and I have a thing for Sotho and Xhosa guys...
Do I find him hot? Hmmm.. He just looks okay to me.
He's handsome, but I just don't find him attractive like that...
Samantha,
What do you like most about the ethnic Sotho and Xhosa dudes?
Is it the way they wriggle the waists and bums while they dance, OR is it the way they sip calabashes of the traditional umqombothi (African beer)? I'm curious to know the attraction for an SA Limpopo gurl like you.
Baatunde: For anyone who is familiar with the issue of Barack Obama’s birth certificate, they would recollect that Republicans and other conspiracy theorists have been peddling the rumour that Obama was born in Kenya since 2008 when he won the democrat’’s nomination. So what happened then , did Obama do anything to dispel the rumour, no? He rode along with it and not until April of 2011, three years after the rumour started that he actually released his official birth certificate. MEanwhile people like Donald Trump offered $5million to anyone who can prove that Obama was born outside the US. This is not unlike the fishing expedition being carried out by Atiku and I am sure Tinubu is building up a climax by opposing the release of his academic records, let its wait and see how it pans out. Even if if there is an error about the gender it is certain that can be explained with the proper evidences. In those days of electronic typewriter and manual collations , mistakes in spelling and the likes was not unusual. I for one have on my academic transcript, the result of a course I never registered for nor sat an exam and I did not even know until 15 years later. That is why the additional evidences of people who actually schooled with him is very critical also even if some people think otherwise. What could also have resolved the issue quicker is for Atiku's team to fish out the "real" female Tinubu they are alluding to since they are most certain that it is not this one we know as the President. Now that would have been the killer blow!
BabaAduras: He has the right to his privacy. What is required by law to tender to contest was rendered to INEC.
Whether 1st Class or 3rd Class, I wonder how you will feel if someone to just walk up to school and demand to see all your academic records. I see that as an invasion of privacy and a personal insult.
The school had confirmed he was their student, Classmates have shown up confirming he was the president of a Student Association, what else do you want? His exams scripts?
FreeStuffsNG: The president of Ohanaeze, FCT chapter, Barrister Ifeanyichukwu Nweze, said anyone who wants to become Eze-Igbo should return to the South East.
He said the FCT is not Igboland and, therefore, cannot have Eze-igbo
It's awkwardly inappropriate and disrespectful to claim being a King in the domain of another King. I agree with the petitioner that It's not acceptable.
Such practices where tolerated actually promotes contempt for your host and their King. This was why one threatened the whole of Lagos while claiming to be a king in a place under the authority of Osolo of Isolo, a Yoruba Awori King. That indiscretion led him to prison till date. Check my signature for free stuffs!
ebufa: He is absolutely correct........Ezes in Igboland are barely revered and you carry a non existent eze igbo title to another man's land to flex.........It was Tinubu that recognised that rubbish in Lagos......some of these eze igbos are former okada riders o! what utter nonsense!
Point of correction.
Bola Tinubu did not introduce this vexacious Eze Ndibo thing in Lagos since 1999 when he first started his journey to becoming a 2-term Governor of Lagos State.
The so-called Eze Ndibo honorific title has been in existence in the Northern States of Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Sokoto etc, as far as I can remember since the early 1980s. I witnessed these facts back then because one of the sons of the honorific Ezes in the Northern states was my friend.
There was just only one Eze of Kano then in the 1980s, but now in every LGA, they have mushroomed into having multiple Ezes in every LGA in Lagos and Nigeria using His Royal Highness for themselves when they are not from any known royal families in their Ibo villages.
All these dudes should only be known as Secretary General of Ibos in Kano, Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, etc.
