PoliticsRe: Former Ig Okiro Ordered To Pay N50 Million Over Shady Land Deals by Koolking(m): 10:55am On Jul 23, 2011
I am a strong proponent of nibbing corruption in the bud in Nigeria. If we don't change our orientation from family to public, corruption will always seems part of us. And until our leaders stop paying lip statements to fight against corruption, i am afraid, things will remain the way they are if not worse.

It is high time, we took a stand on corruption. Public office holders found wanting should be prosecuted summarily just like [worse than] a common criminal.

revolution will set this country on the right path

BusinessRe: How Can I Become A Billionaire At 36! by Koolking(m): 4:56pm On Jul 21, 2011
being a wannabe is not bad. I like people with tall dreams, but you should not trade morality to materialism. it is not until you become a billionaire at 36 that you should be able to make impact in your world, but being a visible agent of change with your limited means is golden.

Don't be a desperado. Slow and steady will the race.
PoliticsRe: Does Nigeria Have An Intelligence Gathering Outfit? by Koolking(m):
Nigeria has intelligence gathering outfits. The problem is not the outfits, but the people involve in intelligence gathering. Corruption has eaten deep into the system of our security agencies. Until we nip corruption in the bud, these agencies will never perform as expected.

Send these guys in the quest to infiltrate BH, I fear they might turn and demand money from BH and disclose those who sent them.

Make Nigeria corruption-free or corruption-less, then some of these anti-Nigerian behaviours will undo themselves.

pastor preach the bible and leave politics for the dogs, you hear?
No wonder why our politics is very dirty. there is absolutely no hope for the puppies. Not until our politics are played by humans with good hearts, good governance will continue to be a mirage
FamilyRe: My Wife Has No Respect Please Advice by Koolking(m): 2:12pm On Jul 18, 2011
I am sorry to say this: There is no cure for this one. The best option is letting go.

A woman that has become a curse instead of a blessing [as the Bible admonished] to her husband is not a wife. With a son, she should be having a second thought before taking any extreme action that will adversely affects the family.

Most embarrasingly, changing residences just becos of the bad attitudes of your wife. What do people think of you. Don't you know blessings evades you becos of your wife.

too much tolerance in this kind of scenario more often than not leads to untimely death.

Let it go.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Flood: PDP Demands BRF'S Resignation by Koolking(m): 2:29pm On Jul 15, 2011
Govt Fash may be a good man, but being led by the godfathers is disastrous. if he has the ball to free himself from the grips of the godfathers, he will probably do more. But with the present state of things, I doubt his credibility to give Lagos the much needed relief. He is a failure.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army Begins Local Construction Of Assault Boats by Koolking(m): 12:35pm On Jul 15, 2011
Talk is cheap, action is dear.

I don't believe in coming to the press to tell the whole world what you will/can do. Tell us what you are doing or have done. This is Nigeria pls. Every other person speaks like a politician telling people what he will do for them.
Match words with actions. That's absolutely what we need.

PoliticsRe: Poor Services: Reps To Probe Telecommunications Companies by Koolking(m): 10:20am On Jul 15, 2011
This is a wild goose chase. It is hopelessly pursued considering the corrupt tendencies of our so called probe panelists. In the time past, no panel has ever come up with findings and recommendations aimed at prosecuting errant persons.

These guys in the house wants to be heard that they have occupied the house finally.

Nothing meaningful will come from this present administration. We need TOTAL CHANGE [Revolution]

RomanceRe: Why Do So Many People Talk So Bad About Nigerian Men? by Koolking(m): 2:48pm On Jul 14, 2011
All countries are endowed with bad and good people, otherwise, God will come down and resides among the 'all-good-people-country'. The fact is: whether you believe it or not (of course there is freedom of believe), Nigerians are the best and will remain the best anytime anywhere. A few bad ones can not change that.

@SarahMaria: Your destiny is in your hands, except you don't know that is why you allow people to belittle you becos of your choice,

It is up to you

CelebritiesRe: Ibinabo Fibresima's Miss Earth Holds In October by Koolking(m): 10:32am On Jul 13, 2011
Her mistake was grave and avoidable at the same time. i understand the feelings here, however, she should be forgiven, and as a NLer said, the family of the deceased doctor should be encouraged to forgive her. And I know if she is truly sorry for what happened, God has forgiven her, how much more us. As humans, we are not in anyway better than her.

In as much as i acknowledge her quest to impact on the society, me think, it's rather not the right time for her to come to limelight again so soon.

She should let the dust she raised douse first. She can giver her supports behind the scenes. Her public engagements might be misunderstood by some. Human nature sometimes can be so unpredictable.

PropertiesRe: Has The Flood From Sunday's Rain Changed Your Mind About Where To Live In Lagos? by Koolking(m): 2:17pm On Jul 12, 2011
Seadbari:
I live at ifako gbagada and my experience was horrible! water entered my apartment, the water level in the sitting was like 10 inches high, the level in the compound was knee length while that on the street was above the waist for someone of my height "6 feet", few things went with the rain, TV in the room feel into the water, the decoder in the sitting feel into the water also, sparked n hasn't come since, my clothes and some other stuff i have not noticed, could sleep at home that night, had to leave for an hotel that night around past twelve,
LMAO, lafter heals. You made it sounds very funny. My heart goes out for you and all those who lost their properties/loved ones to the flood. It was a bleak Sunday to all Lagosians, whether affected or not.

I wish the Lagos State govt could expedite action to address the problem. I foresee much more torrential rain than the last. Something needs to be done urgently in order to minimise the disaster.

Nigeria is a great country. God bless us all
PoliticsRe: What Can Be Done To Stop The Flooding In Lagos? by Koolking(m): 6:27pm On Jul 11, 2011
Dearth of drainages and shoddy road constructions. Improper sewage disposals. govt policy on urbanisation (issues on housing can be taken up by govt in order to address the problems of wanton erection of houses/constructions on waterways). The problem boils down to vision-less and incompetencies of govt.

If these trends can be revised, there will be a sort of relief
PoliticsRe: ‘ex-service Men, Undergrads Are Members Of Boko Haram Strike Force’ by Koolking(m): 6:13pm On Jul 11, 2011
Our Security Agencies most especially the police are not serious in information gathering. There is so much corruption in the system. When the Nigerian public detests the police like pieces of Poo, what would you expect. People are afraid to speak out considering the corrupt-consciousness of the NPF. They will be the one to turn you in or label you suspect if you try to give them a clue to solving a crime.

Security in the 21 century has evolved. Not until our security agencies begin to treat thier [employers] tax-payers as friends, militia groups like Boko Haram will continue to walk tall unchallenged. Members of this group are common Nigerians and not ghosts.

It seems the president himself does not believe in the security of lives and properties of the common man. I don't understand why he still condone the incompetencies of Ringim
