moshino:Nigerians coaches are still being influenced by the power that be. We can never go far with this attitude of holding on what is bad just to please a few people. If these fantastic players (below) are left out of their respective country world cup squads, I see no reason why we should not drops players that are average and overrated. World cup is for players with big heart. No room for weakness. Leroy Sane Marcos Alonso, Pedro, Fabregas, Morata Gotze, Schürrle Payet, Martial, Lacazette and Benzema |
ademoladeji:Fact: Victor Moses used to be quite a play maker in Chelsea. I must admit, he earned the 1st 11 in Chelsea. In the recently past, the guy has lost form and keeps going down as if he's looking for oil. He has not shown enough power to deserve to be in the world cup squad. |
DrSidney:I will pass. We love to settle for less in a country of over 180million people. It's our thing bro |
10 - John Mike Obi 11 - Victor Moses The two lads above don't fit into that squad. Perhaps Moses might fit in if he changes position - let say attacking midfield. He has not shown enough creative power in that position both in Chelsea and Super Eagles team in the season. He was the major weak link among chelsea forwards. Mikel is lost already. He was not even fit to be called in. A new blood would have fared better. No sentiment. I don't know why coaches keep managing him to the detriment of the squad. If you doubt me check his individual achievements and compared to contemporaries he started with |
Chukazu:The police were on course and Saraki respectfully accepted to honor the police invite. The VP's intervention is shameful and debasing. I disagree with the VP on this. It makes a mockery of the paradigm shift in Nigeria's nascent governance |
ukukaegbu:Vice President had to step in to address the issue. The Police did nothing wrong inviting Saraki for questioning. It's only in Nigeria that we protect wealthy men from police interrogation. Am not with the prof on this

Syrian pages on Facebook circulated images from the General Penal Code exam sat by first-year students at the University of Damascus. The question reads: "Sergio Ramos injured Mohamed Salah in the 2018 European Champions League final. Naturally, Ramos cannot be held to account for this action from a criminal law perspective due to four conditions that make the use of violence justified in sports. State these conditions." The paper asks why participants in sporting events enjoy certain legal exemptions. The question seems to have been met with good humour and sporting rivalry from most students. "Some described the teacher who set the exam as a "defeated Barcelona fan" Another commented: "Any Barcelona fan would have torn up the exam paper and left when they heard Ramos's name." Others commended the professor who wrote the question for having students apply the law to a real life example, while the university's own Facebook page rushed to the defence of the teacher. "The question was clear and frank. All thanks and appreciation goes to the academic staff in general," it said. It attached to its post a picture of the question, and the textbook answer, also answered correctly by a student posting on Hawa TV's Facebook page. "The conditions are: 1 - That the game is held according to the law. 2 - For the injured player to have consented to take part in the game. 3 - For the player who was behind the injury to have respected the rules and principles of the game. 4 - For the injuries to have been sustained during the game," they wrote. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-44360996[/quote]Interesting. omooba969:If the face is actually one of the robbers then Saraki needs to clear the air on his relationship with the terrorist robbers. I assumed the event was strictly on invitation, and the culprit's proximity to (is that Saraki's wife?) calls for questions. The Police should provide a level playing field for Saraki |
Neither the Police nor the arrested Offa bank robbers admitted Saraki sponsored them. The question is 'how are the robbers connected to Saraki going by their confessional statement? That's the million dollar question |
emmy994:At the bold query: No of course, you will be invited for questioning (if you are wealthy) or arrested for confession if you are poor - Nigeria as a case study. However, the law will label you "accessory" - supplementary component, whose platform will be given for you to clear your names (if the police are not satisfied interrogating and investigating your partnership). |
Looking at the pictures of the protesters, virtually all are Nigerian youths. With considerable certainly, these are not among the youths who clamour for power to run the affairs of Nigeria. If these or some of them are among those youths, then the country is doom. I am trying to understand the sensibility and reasonability of their protests in favour of Saraki. Saraki is not a common man, he is the same government in power. He has the money, best advisers and lawyer who can stand toe to toe with the police and government if beyond doubt he is being accused wrongly. Does he really need the poor dudes on street fighting his course? This protest alone shows something is missing in Saraki's camp |
LOL...where is the curvy widow? |
samuel19222:It's still a dream. It's free to dream. Sleep on bro |
Rich guys who aren't famous The Saudi Billionaire got what he wanted. |
laliga01:I assumed you don't understand what 'patriotic' is. So, what about kids from the north? Why are you not concern about kids from the South/East and West? |
El-Rufai was not tyrannical when he demolished an average Nigerian house, he suddenly becomes oppressive because a Senator's house is demolished. What does this Senator think he is? The special one? There is no need for media war with Rufai. Sue his a$$ if you think he treats you unjustly. |
What's the fuse about nothing? Children will always put their curiosity to test. As kids we used to make guns from available items - wood, paper, malleable metals, etc. If this was done by kid other than north, would you make same noise? We just like to make Himalaya out of molehills |
AprokoGirl:Such a stupid report. There is no smoke without fire. And the drunk moderator moved this trash to frontpage |
Is this a joke? If FFK asked this question, it tells you a lot about the quality of so called leaders in Nigeria. If history eludes him, he was not a worth leader to be so named in Nigeria. The question is childish, balderdash and mischievous. Quoting history and for education sake: "The Arabic script on the logo is translated as Nasrunminallah meaning Victory Comes from God Alone. This motto was initially inscribed on the banner which the Nigerian Indigenous Forces used to battle against the invading colonial forces. The origin of this motto can be traced to Shehu Usman Dan Fodio, the head of the Sokoto Caliphate. It was then adopted by the British pre-Independence. However, shortly before the country’s independence, the British handed it over to the country in a formal ceremony. " The motto was used by Frederick Lugard who was the first Commander of the West African Frontier Force between 1897 and 1899. He became the first High Commissioner of Northern Nigeria between 1899 and 1906 and he would later become the Governor of the protectorates of Northern and Southern Nigeria between 1912 and 1914. Lugard was also the first Governor General of post-amalgamation Nigeria between 1914 and 1919. During his time, he identified Arabic as the only written indigenous language anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa, particularly among the widely spread Hausa trader class across the region. As a result, Arabic inscriptions were used as symbols, not only for currency but even on official West African Frontier Force badges. And this has persisted till today particularly on the Nigerian Army badges and flag. The NA flag has three vertical stripes (red, black and red), all of the same width. These colours follow the NATO military colour code. The red colour This colour depicts the enemy forces, their installations and their activities. The black colour In military circles, black is the traditional colour of the cavalry, armoured or mechanized troops" |
Cooly100:The same lawlessness and thuggery is rather making the Nigeria seems precipitated. Nigeria is bigger than handful of lost folks. As an Easterner/Southerner Nigeria is our fatherland. It will stand biafra or not. There is nothing one can do about it. Either you key in or ship out. |
omonla10:Assuming there was biafra officially, it would undoubtedly be run on principles of anarchism. The level of lawlessness and thuggery exhibited by some of my igbo brothers can never make biafra stand. |
gidob:What were they tested for - Malaria or STD? |
This topic reminds me, I heard Super Eagles played friendly with Congo last week, what was the score? |
For visitors and tourists - Rape and Human trafficking are serious crimes in Nigeria. It carries weighty sentences if found guilty |
FatokiFemi48:For the record, 13month salary is not statutory in Nigeria. It is not obligatory that such payment is made. Some organizations in Nigeria pay 13th month based on management approval as Christmas bonus to employees, collective bargaining or by a contract of employment between employers and their employees. I would say, it is borne out of magnanimity and motivation to employees. It's one of the measures that could improve workers' well-being. The overall value of the 13th month is to enhance better staff performance and support them during the festive periods. 13th month salary is not taxable.. If at all there is any tax, WHT would be appropriate. |
A single term of 6 years or even 8years for the president, I agree completely, but 5 Vice Presidents, I completely disagree. There will be too much confusions among them just like what we witnessed at NNPC a few months back. The embarrassing imbroglio between State Minister of Petroleum, Minister of Petroleum and NNPC GMD including NNPC MD. These are all quadruple of offices/functions and avoidable financial hemorrhage for the country, even when the act stipulates each functions (there are still high level of arrogance and power play among them). 2 or 5 Vice Presidents will experience nothing short of same development therefore rendering their functions useless to the people. Already the vice president is just an arm-chair executive and a ceremonial head. |
Lalas247:Appreciate your realistic approach. |
Dude, there is nothing to be confused here. You can eat from before, in between or after meal. There is no crime. You subject wasn't frontpage worthy, moderators tried |
Lalas247:I was curious when I read the claim. Perhaps, there is a procedure, like dip for minutes, hours...who knows? Most women can tinker with this thing just to deceive their boyfriends into parting with money. I heard from women that drinking certain beverages can alter your hormones thereby making pregnancy test positive. |
