Politics › Re: How Ex-president Arranged Arrest of Diezani - Silverbirdtv.com by Koolking(m): 3:48pm On Oct 04, 2015 |
I don't understand what Silverbirdtv meant by expresident arranged Alison's arrest. The salient question is, has Alison been found wanting? If yes, then decency is, relevant authorities have the constitutional rights to prosecute her. Her arrest and questioning offers her the best platform for her to clear her name. That being said, bearing the body language of our amiable president Buhari, it's needless waiting for an expresident to arrange Alison's prosecution.
By the way, I thought Alison was cleared by the immediate past government. |

scholes0: Eko Atlantic is doing the exact opposite of that. It is protecting the people living further inland. Remember when VI used to get flooded almost every year?? what stopped it? Eko Atlantic project is not offering any respite to the inland people. The course has changed frighteningly, people and properties are still affected. It might seem as if people living around the Bar beach and environment have respite but time will tell. |

Good governance can only try but can never change the course of nature. It's now left for the residents of the affected area to relocate to a higher ground. They have nothing to lose by leaving the area, but got everything to lose by staying put and waiting for govt to come to their aid.
The sand-filling and massive construction on Eko Atlantic, which obviously changed the course of the ocean water will continue to affect the ecosystem of that area. |

Romance › Re: EXPOSED: Reason For Increasing No Of Single Ladies In Nigeria & The Solution by Koolking(m): 9:48am On Sep 30, 2015 |
humilitypays: As a single lady, lower your financial expectation from guys- the table is turning, fewer guys now have good means of income compared to ladies; you ladies asked for gender equality, you now have it, please make use of it, don't wait for a richer guy...if you are driving and you see a guy trekking whom you fancy, lift him and don't be shy to startup a focused-relationship with him...waiting for the richer guys driving bigger cars than yours may keep you waiting for eternity and may bring you more heartbreak because such guys now know that they are king to women and so they treat ladies with little/no respect.
Advice him to invest his income wisely! Encourage him to startup a side business to assist his salary because no salary is enough!
Quit those useless habits that drains your income! Quit smoking! Quit drinking! Quit gambling! Quit womanising; its a costly hobby! Quit clubbing around town! Quit squandering money on any girl who isn't your wife! Learn to invest, learn to nurture a business aside your job and learn to spend lesser than you earn! Don't use your last savings to buy a car just to feel among or just to attract irrelevant ladies! Car is more of a necessity until you become rich! For now, buying car should be to aid your financial growth and not for fun or pleasure!
It is no longer easy for single young guys in Nigeria even though most of them won't confess this to you due to male ego! Grear article Op. These are intellectually overwhelming points you have raised. However, Marriage is not all there is in life. It's just a mean to an end. It's becomes a problem because Nigerian girls yearn to marry already made Mr. Right, which at the end they won't stay satisfied in that marriage |

some people mentality towards religion is a sin itself, if it's my father, i will commit my first ever murder[/size] Mind you! An act of kindness should never be confused with religion. Being generous and humanely-driven is not same as being religious. This man act is sheer generosity worthy of emulating. Richest men in America invest in humanity by building foundations worth billions of Dollars. Most of them 'will' their life savings to humanity and not a penny to family members. These are all Act of kindness. The type is that rarely seen in Africa hence why you confuse this man's act to religious fanaticism. You can learn to do same. |

Politics › Re: Where Saraki's Lawyers Goofed - By T0nyebarcanista by Koolking(m): 8:33pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
T0nyeBarcanista: Many SANs, including Saraki's lawyers have critically complained about the CCT's disregard for the authority of the Federal High Court.
Let us ignore the fact that they later shot themselves in the feet when they realised their mistake and ran back to institute exactly the same matter at the Court of Appeal.
Apparently, Saraki's lawyers did not realise the following and may need to be schooled further on why their action at the Federal High Court was a nullity:
1. When you are charged to a court....any court at all....and you wish to challenge it's jurisdiction, you do so right in that same court.
2. If the CCT ignores your application and rules that it has jurisdiction, then you appeal its ruling.
3. The constitution has already clarified which court is capable of reviewing the Ruling of the CCT.
4. No where in jurisprudence, is a plaintiff permitted to sue a court as a party to the case, the only provision is to appeal its ruling.
5. The CCT is a specialized court similar to the Election petition Tribunals. Appeals from them go directly to the Court of Appeal. These tribunal panels comprise high court judges of coordinate jurisdiction.
6. An invitation of the high court judge to both parties, asking for them to show reason why they feel the high court should not issue an interlocutory injunction stopping CCT is no way an Interlocutory Injunction already.
7. Saraki's disregard of a substantive court summon in the absence of an Interlocutory Injunction was a direct request for a bench warrant.
While it is very clear that the CCT has given Saraki and his lawyers utmost respect and regard by withholding the bench warrant, believing that as a responsible citizen, he will honour the summons on Tuesday, let no one be in doubt about the CCT's utmost power to arrest, detain and lock behind bars, any accused person who shows open brigandage and disregard for the court's authority, no matter how highly placed. Your points are app. For the first time in a long time I read an opinion devoid of emotion and intellectually overwhelming from you. The bold is where most Nigerians got it wrong on the powers of CCT. They feel the '3rd citizen' of Nigeria who is privileged to surround himself with SANs has power over CCT. How wrong. The delay to arrest Saraki was out of respect for him and his office while anticipating Saraki's compliance and cooperation in return. I wonder what example he has shown to his house members and political wannabees. The end will tell if Saraki is above the law. |

Yoruba Council of Youth does not, I repeat does not in anyway speak or act on behalf of the majority of the Yoruba race. The Yoruba people will always support good governance devoid of sentiments and sectional gain. That being said, if the government which Saraki is a member accused him of infraction, let him honourably go to court and clear his name. He is the 3rd citizen and a learned fellow for goodness sake.
He does not needs fans, groups to speak for him. He should with all alacrity distant himself from any group, sycophants who are not in tune with good governance in Nigeria. Time has changed for groups to still act archaic |

Saraki's case shows the failure of the CCB. How come it took them 8 years to detect an offense, a crime or fraud?
I wonder how long they would have to wait to also verify the out gone governors asset declaration details to know who erred and who didn't...!!! In RED: This was the failure of the immediate past government. It treated corruption with kidgloves |

slimfit1: There is a place for everything. It is wrong they should find other means of doing business without breaking the law. The same government is levying these traders for the space. I personally frown at road side traders, because they obstruct traffic and also endanger their lives, but I believe Lagos govt can still do something noble about this situation without inflicting more injuries. They could be relocated to spaces affordable to their level. There's always a mutual way out of every situations if you mean well. |
