At this age and time, I am shocked to my bone marrow that Nigerians are still interested in where political appointees come from. Whereas, we should be more concerned about who has the prerequisites to get the job done irrespective of religion, gender, tribe or culture. I pray God/Allah deliver us since we have refused to deliver ourselves |
Sanchez01:How did I miss this thread? I thought I was the only crusader. Music had been long extinct in Nigeria. Only 3% peeps make music in Nigeria of recent, the 97% are pure noise makers enjoying the patronage of gullibility and docility of Nigerians. Of course, we all know Nigerians worship mediocre. The truth is I don't attend Musical shows in Nigeria, even when a foreign act is in concert, because i know by and large, a Nigerian wannabe musician will also perform on stage. Their performances are crass, noisy, heartrending and insipid. Even in the comfort of my home, I would rather listen to the 80s and 90s, apart from non-African music than get headache with noise called Nigerian music. Peeps here mentioned a few vocalists, I tell you, apart from Asa (world class), Tuface...former Psquare duo, others are pure noise makers who know nothing about music. In recent time, you don't need talent to make music in Nigeria. Anybody can make music in Nigeria provided you meet the right people who give you the publicity needed to recoup the profit through you. Until we embrace music with talents, music will continue to elude us. Until then #TeamForeign |
Goallllllllllllllllllllllllll Stones |
It's only in Takwa Bay and the Peninsula you will see this sort of vehicle |
I also bought a new house in the Caribbean. Congratulate me
|
Ilekeh:Ok. I agree. You win! |
Ilekeh:Because you preferred I needed the link to be convinced on your assertion. |
Ilekeh:((chuckles) Don't even go there. There is nothing to research here. You'll still get the same information you and I uploaded online. They are all subjective personal opinions based on our understanding. |
Ilekeh:Thanks for your efforts. Nothing too special. Every other non-indigent group in America has achieved same feat. I just admire the popularity Yorubas have given to theirs. It's all good bro |
Ilekeh:Which website are you referring? I hope you were not referring to Linda Ikeji's grapevine blog or the link to the NL thread. You don't get information on Linda Ikeji's blog, you get misinformation and self-destruction if you are a follower of LI rumours. |
Op, your topic and your bragging right make it sounds like Yoruba culture has a place in this American village. From those pictures posted, it looks like there was a celebration of cultural day, which is no different from what other African non-American residents do periodically. Even in Lagos, non-Lagosians (Yorubas) celebrate their cultural day periodically. And this celebrations by non-indigents of Lagos does not in anyway mean their culture has become the mainstream culture in Lagos. However, there is pride in our distinct cultures. You are right to give yours such prestige. |
Are you kidding me? Learning money tips from Dangote, a business mogul who savour unpatriotic favour of Nigerian govt at the expense of the masses? This will be the greatest disservice to yourself. If I had the same opportunity as Dangote, I bet I would surpass him. |
Brugge:You are absolutely right bro. You are a visionary |
Did they smear pink pancake all over their bodies? They look pink |
Nonsense Can we satisfactorily compare Lagos, Abuja Nigeria to environmentally arid UAE, which gained independence from Britain in 1971? Op, please stop posting these insipid images. Let stop deceiving ourselves. We deserve the leaders we get. We are too ethnocentric, selfish and corrupt for good things to come our way. Until we looked inward and re-orientated ourselves for national good, we will still see the op pictures as real growth and development Here's UAE of 44years ago, a country of infertile land and available natural gas resource, compared to Nigeria of 55years ago with enormous fertile land and unquantified natural and human resources. Shame of a nation.

Not cool. NYSC was set up as a 'paramilitary' entity where corpers are deployed to any part of Nigeria to serve with all his/her might. Allowing corpers to choose where s/he wishes to serve will render the program not on tenterhooks and uninteresting. Close pals could be sent to serve in one particular state. Where's the fun and diverse experiences of Nigeria? |
There is no lowest or highest income to live decent. To whom much is given much is expected. You manage 30k income today, once this has been scaled up to 50K, you find out that your financial obligations also scaled up and the 50k becomes unreasonable |
What of Chairmen of Motor Parks, General Overseers and LGA councilors and Police escorting banks bullion vans. These are the peeps who are already used to sirens. This announcement will be unfair to them |
This is the kind of news we need on front page. It gives and reinforces somebody's HOPE. Truly, there are no hopeless situations, it's only people who are hopeless about situations. |
Cm'on dude, the Indian said nothing wrong. He is right about the country. Quit being emotional bro |
Rapmoney:I disagree intoto with this notion. As a business guy, I always return missed calls to check who's trying get in touch to do business with Moi. I consciously hate running out of call chips, because of missed calls. |
PDP as an opposition has a responsibility to assist the ruling party succeed if members of the party have the interest of Nigerians at heart. Don't just make statement, name names with evidence and see if Buhari won't go after them. |
Geez! You mean Julius and wife snapped with wax images of int'l celebs and trend same online as meeting personalities? This is the height of low self esteem. You can do better Agwu |
naijathings:I am not angry bro. There was no need for the bold if you truly love your girlfriend. '...but' says a lot about your post. There is no need to misunderstand each other. We gain nothing but lose scarce resource 'time'. Different strokes for different peeps. |
Raymondenyi:I like what you wrote sir. The family system and values are eroded hence the unbridled immorality in the system. As citizens, we are the problem, but the governance which we all make up is the greater problem. We coin laws that only bark but cannot bite. You find out that most Nigerians don't have a second thought in exhibiting untoward behaviours, why? Because an average policeman will collect bribe and and look the other way. Young men choose to play 'bet190' and 'yahoo' than being creative. Girls choose to advertise their wares on badoo, and adopt Olosho as a brand. Crime is so glorified by our government (security agents and judiciary) that crime is almost seen as way of life in Nigeria. It is time we adopted Kim Jong-un style if we are to get back on track as a great country. I am a proponent of execution if you are found wanting. Most Nigerians naturally won't act right until you put a bullet on their head. Our security agents see themselves as the law instead of law enforcers, while the judiciary gives justice to the highest bidder. We need bloody cleansing. We need an approach way too fiery than Buhari's. We need Kim Jong-un |
Nnaeb:I don't like using the term "marketer". To me, its sound so restricted and unappreciated. I prefer "Sales man". Sales man has the best chance of rising to the position of CEO in no time in a company. It depends on your success story. Most company CEO's started as Sales men. |
Let see how this play out. Nigeria is the only country in the world where the government says one thing and mean another. We enjoy making rules and laws just to get applause from our listeners. Acting on the laws is a different ball game. There is this team of about 4 policemen from Area F command in Ikeja who uses one navy colored danfo to extort people in Ikeja. The worst of them all is the policeman with one bad (left) eye. These policemen are epitome of thugs and bully. Let see how this law will change their modus operandi. |
naijathings:I like them single mom. They arent outcast, they deserve best. Your excuse is such a flimsy one. You aren't in love bro |
jonaifame22:You don't mean this highlight. This is very comical and crazy at the same time. What was she thinking? To force you to come out and get bathed in acid. Your instinct saved your a$$ bro. Forbearance and endurance are virtues. |
That's gay-ish. Last I checked, gay was unacceptable in Nigeria. Anti-gay law should be invoked on him |
princechrming:I was looking out for this word. It happens to be the commonest blunder in the money market. From Loan sharkings to Insurance and banking. I keep correcting my insurance agent that there is no such word as 'installmentally' in the dictionary. post=37559516:Personally, I think in describing vehicular and pedestrian movement in traffic jams, using this word is apt and should be incorporated into Dictionary.[/quote]However, some of these words emanated from Pidgins and have come to be accepted as the common English words confined to Nigeria. |

. All na the race to cure conji. We are aware o, but we are not against
, and show superiority to others less fortunate ; this is reflected in the attitude of our security agents ; that can kill for defaulting in your N100 pledge, the directors in various government parastatals that U must give them very good percentages, before ur contract is approved, not minding whether the Job is done or not.
