Im no guru, but I think your answers are to short and not very informative i.e when you were asked what you do. also when asked if you were going for mba, you coulda stated exactly what your weee going to
study and then use it to buteress the follow up on returning to Nigeria. also you might have said it , but my assumptions are from this transcript your wrote.

Wow I have been looking for this thread for a long time, I use to be a part of this thread about 5 years ago before I got my visa to come to the US. I came here on a student visa back then and I learnt so much from this thread.
I see people talking about grace, yes there’s grace but without preparation and confidence grace wont come into place.
Some of my friends have been able to make it here with my help and I always tell them preparation is key.you can pray about it but also be prepared.
first Do you know everything about the school you are going to ? Do you know about the course curriculum? Can you answer questions in a concise manner when the VO ask you? Trust me when I say there’s no magic in this visa thing, once you can convince the VO that you are a genuine student then you already have a 90% chance.


Also, some people just choose to ignore the red flags in their application. Example. You are already in your 30s and you just want to go for a bachelors degree in the US. You will most likely be denied this is because the VO has seen a lot of 19 years olds and 20 year olds going for bachelors and 25 years olds already going for masters/PhD . So why is a 30 year old just going for bachelors, what has he been doing? Sometime you have to think for the VO and ask yourself “ if I’m the VO will I give this person the visa”
Please people research about the school and the course you are going to study. I wish everybody luck in their endeavors.

You don't have to rewrite anything. As long as you can state what you have been doing within those gaps, it's fine. Age has nothing to do with education. As an undergraduate sef don't be surprise to see married and old Students are high as 35-50yrs sef.

service come is just by the entrance your left hand side, unno where u seat and be moving around for capturing, just that area when u enter the waiting room

i registerd through one of the officers MR Awe is his name but his boy was the one dat did the whole process RaZaK. you can pm me i will share u his number ( Razak) or when you go ask for Mr awe and just speak w him and see if he can help u

I paid the same amount to an agent in alausa and captured on feb 28 and uptill now my passport isn’t out and those we captured together collected theirs on Monday.I met a couple of them on Monday and my agent told me mine isn’t out, and that they are still printing those that there name start from A.Please is there any money you pay afterwards to fast track your passport cus I don’t seem to understand anymore .I need to get hold of the passport ASAP

I didnt pay anything afterwards, I just called my plug to help me check if mine was ready, a d he did and it was ready or better still check w them at the servicecom inside

If you want to rewrite the waec then plan towards Fall or Spring 2023. Admission for Fall session usually from Dec-April, classes start in August/September depending on the school.

can one still apply for fall 2022 ?

7 years Gap line is a lot too but since you said money dey, ensure you apply for this Fall session, 'package your story well' and shoot your shot.

on the bright side, I can just re write waec and just say I finished school this year since my waec result will show it was written in 2022 yh? when does fall reg start? or lest i forget , I was doing the open university last year but it felt like a waste of money

depends on where u apply for passport.
mine in lagos (alausa) initial filling of passport docs : feb 4 2022,
capturing 1st of march
picked up passport on the 10th of march
wasnt DIY.

Hello,
You didn't do anything wrong. That particular VO has issues. Reapply again, you will get it. In your next interview, mention a skill(computer related) learnt during the gap line 2017-date.

my own case dey similar , I finished school 2015 but i didnt feel like going to uni after unilag do
me sheyge (reaching cutoff , no admission) so I decided to learn a skill and perfect it (photography) which I own a studio and doing very well, now im ready to go to uni for undergrad, do you think telling them my photography thing is going to be reasonable? Im planning to apply undergrad for fall this year if its not late already sef. who is paying for it , my aunt and money dey so no issues on that . P.S im 22

Good day everyone. I applied for a renewal of my passport sometimes in January. I finally did my capture in IBADAN on the 27TH of January. The collection date stated FEB 02. I have paraded the office of the NIS more than 5 times asking them for the update. All they keep saying is it has not gotten to January turn yet and i need my passport before nextweek thursday. Please is there anyone in ibadan facing this same issue of delay.... Thanks

Omo In all honesty I think you just have to settle the guy there that looks for passports and you will get ur passport cos this is already a month and few weeks. Just settle. also was it through an officer you did it or through DIY?

How often have you visted ikoyi passport office? were you given a slip that shows collection date and other data on it? If so just be marching there everyday, im sure it should be ready by now since feb18 you captured. also if you were given a slip what date does it says for collection?



I did capturing too on the 17th of February.
Paid 40k for 32 pages for 5 years (I'm a minor tho)
I captured at the Ibadan office.
I was only told to write "Data okay by me"
and to make 2 photocopies of the statement I wrote one was collected, I gave another copy of the assisting officer and I was told to retain the original copy.
I was told 6 weeks tho, and that will elapse March 31st.

you will most deffs get it earlier than that or on the said 6weeks they specified

Also its not free For imo state here in Lagos, I paid 5k for it at the liason office. Prices may vary according to states. Also you have to pay in cash. they wont take Transfers. You will also get the doc instantly.

Captured ln Feb 18
Passport is not ready till now we need the passport urgently. We already booked medical and embassy appointment for this Thursday.
We paid 45k to this immigration guy but he has not been helpful at all.

45k i can give you the guys number but the duration might be different but atleast having someone in there to call and check stuff without going there is ok to me. capturing will only be what delays you.

sorry for late replies, for me I feed him and lock him in his cage , and after 30-40mins I take him outside to do his business and reward him do
it constantly after everymeal till he gets used to it

just go there if you are confident its reasy, me i had someone there that check on the system if its ready for me. but the officers might start asking if you got a text that its ready abd that you should show the text . just say u left ur phone at home. cos In my opinion, waiting on them to text you is like waiting for Jesus to come, E go tey�
