Moferere:Lol, it will softer in the North I guess because that should be post harvest time |
FakeUnity:Its good we talk objectively on the morality of what the Northerners have just said which may not be 100% true.. Bringing religion into this discussion will not do much Justice because there Muslims and Christians spread across all the 6 geozones |
I am no happy with what the Governor said. He is the Chief security officer of the state and therefore he should decide because he knows his terrain more than the federal gvt. During the GMB interview, Buhari narrated on how he sent back two western Governors to go back and restore peace in their state. |
PrinceOfLagos:Lol, but have u realised that no govt since 1999 had this social incentive called Npower program. And its in every state. Infact I read somewhere that Batch C has started. Look, even though GMB regime is characterised by insecurity all over the place, I think his gvt has the most robust, comprehension and so many intervention programmes since 1999. 1.Home Grown School Feeding Programme 2.N-Power 3.Conditional Cash Transfer Program 4.Government Economic Empowerment Program (GEEP) Etc This is aside the various products in NIRSAL microfinance bank and the Covid products like SME, households, Microenterprises etc. Don't forget the 774,000 youths job that's yet to kick off. Don't also forget that the Governors were gvn bail out from the debts collected by the PDP governors I know these aforementioned may not reach everyone but with the current drop in our revs due to the pandemic, one can say the train is at least moving slowly. But I must also say that I am getting worried from the huge loans we are currently taking. Had we saved when crude barrel was over $100 for 16 years, GMB should have met at least $70billions in our reserves. Ironically he met $30b and today he pushed it to $37b |
The way ismail behaved kindly is the way most Northerners treat southerners when they come to the north. And that was how most of them flocked to the north to start business and even decided to remain here for decades. Its in the religion that you must treat your visitor and a stranger very well. Imagine the girl being maltreated by her fellow southerners(2 ibo and one Yoruba) and only to be rescued by a Hausa Man. |
PeaceforNigeria:Exactly! We have so many Hausa-Fulani men who got married to Ibo women. So a product from such marriage will always say she is half ibo and half Hausa-fulani. No be so? |
PeaceforNigeria:Well, just like what mikecold said, "She is either Fulani or Michika. Michika people are almost entirely Christians while Fulanis are almost entirely Muslims. For God's sake, how does Michika culture and Fulani culture relate or come together? Just like people are saying, this girl doesn't look Fulani and that is clearly because she is most likely not one. She could be a Kamwe (Michika) Muslim girl with a fulani mother. A pure fulani girl with both parents as Fulanis will hardly marry a Muslim man from Indigenous Adamawa tribes like Marghi, Kilba or Chamba, let alone an Igbo man or Christian" |
Jeetech01:The are over 15 ethnic tribes in Adamawa. Michika is a different tribe from Fulani. But because the Fulani tribe is the major tribe there, most other minority tribes speaks the Fulani tongue. Infact, the girl is most likely a michika Christian girl. Look at face very well and you conclude she does not have fulanI looks. |
Its a good thing that in the last 20 years, Northern states have been sponsoring their students to Asian Tigers universities to read medical and Engineering course. Their effort is now paying off |
Childofaking:Commercial banks interest is based on the cbn monetary Policy rate, the current rate is 12.5%, if the MPR rate comes down to single digit like 5%, the commercial banks will have no choice to also come down to like 14%. The prime lending rates is averaging 21% |
ShobayoEmma:Bandits do not care about your religion. They kill and clear any obstacle that comes their way. When they kidnapped over 70 Islamic school children at Tegina in Niger, why did u not say they want to eradicate Islam in Nigeria. Nigerian youths can never stop being hypocritic. Very sad!! |
This efcc boy is proving me wrong. Been thinking its gonna be biz as usual |
elonmuskbaby:Very funnily u just wrote by bringing religion into the matter as if faithfuls of the other religion does not steal at all.Their own even better now. We know big Pastors in this countries who serves as storage tanks from monies stollen and who even collect stollen monies as tithe from gvt officials |
Topmaike007:Me, I don't support such killing oo. Hmm, North Korea executed some citizens fews years back for similar offences. Also Chinese have such penalties for corruption and treasonable offence etc, you guys did not accuse their Bhudist religion. Or are u not educated enough that demonstrating against the state in most of these cummunists countries is punishable by death? So why aren't u attacking the religions in such countries? I expect you attack the saudi gvt and not the religion bro. Look, when your mind is demented in hating a religion, its a sickness which is bad. |
Gunmen can be Yoruba, ibo or Fulani. Amotekun is sleeping |
olanajim:The confession of the pastors inequities brought me here. |
Very dirty culture imported to Nigeria. I wonder why the so call called religious bodies not preaching against it. |
Buzx:I get what you are saying. I do know that the whole blockchain philosophy is that of decentralised finance. My response initially on the software was based on the 20 million retrieved by efcc |
cryptotech:Before the ban, if I consume a crypto trxns by selling 0.05btc, how will I be paid? |
wirinet:How can I cash my crypto in Nigeria before the Ban? |
Buzx:If you know blockchain, you should know that its the Commercial banks that enhance and facilitate the offshore transfers. If you wanna cash your btc, it must go through the banks(like Providus bank). And that was why CBN asked the banks to stop the trxns of these offshore crypto currency exchanges like Ruqqu, Luno etc. You must have heard last two months that Binance has added Nigerian FIAT/NGN pair to its Peer to Peer (P2P) trading platform in Nigeria. Users can now BUY and SELL their NGN FIAT balance on Binance with zero transaction fees for Nigerian Naira (NGN) using Bank Transfer and other payment methods, but any bank facilitate any of such will face sanction by CBN |
Maxymilliano:The agency has all the mechanisms and the infrastructure which you don't know. The efcc has a software that if they put your bvn and run the software, its gonna bring all your accounts in the entire banking platforms in Nigeria including all your cards, including all your transactions, including all where the money is coming from and where it went to.infact the software has an AI field that can dig out all the alternative e channels those money came from. Its just that he will not mention such critical information in the public. |
So many useless talks above, saying what has he achieved. They did not know that the efcc boss had been there for over 15 years. They did not know he headed Lagos and port Harcourt zones. |
authority2006:OK but was there an apparent proof for that? If yes, then CBN ought to have sanctioned and even fined the banks and the NSE. And the the money realised should be use to settle the investors, even if its small. |
khalids:Exactly. Most of the banks stocks then, were over valued and there was also an insider abuse which led to the bubble bust. As at today, I will not buy any bank stocks which is more than #2 and the bank must be FUGAZ. I made a great mistake by not investing on the telecoms stocks like Airtel which is now trading at over #800/share. Infact look at the Oil stock like Seplat going for over #600/share implying other sectors are doing well. I am also looking at foreign stocks in NASDAQ but till when money comes. |
sinkhole:Bro I just did same early this year. I lost #300k in one of my bank stock #500k investment over a period of 17 years. But don't put more than 30% in crypto because of the high volatility. I will advice you put 70% in bonds, tbills and fixed income investments since they are secured even if the yield is not high. |
During Soludo in 2007, I used #500,000 to buy 15,000 units of first bank shares at #33/share. Today the bonuses I got has increased it to 27,000 units. Now that the share price of the bank is #7.1/share, the value of my investment is less than #200,000 giving me a huge loss of of my investment in 17 years. What a loss in my investment!!!!! Imagine if I had bought a piece of land with the money, I am sure the value will now be over 100% |
EKONGKING:Nigeria will never be free from subsidy nightmare until she starts local refining. Its simple economics. |
Good write up. Your break down shows the cost will range btw $70k upwards. Can you do a breakdown of the cost components? It seems its on the high side. I know perl language, I see some of the features of a video editing app have modules in perl. |
dmbb:Exactly, but twitter went as far as saying they don't know the person bearing PMB. Can u imagine!!!! |
I most times imagine how southerner's hatred for Northerners originate. Go to any part of the north and see SW and SE Nigerians living, building and doing business happily. Infact you even see those that have stayed for decades contesting elections. The generosity of a person is sometimes very bad. |
