Christianity Etc › Re: The Issue Of Tithe And Tithing by KunleOshob(m): 9:48am On Jul 06, 2011
@ogoamaka the son of perdition and demon of belial.

We have been through this fraudulent doctrine of tithes several times on this forum and all the so called questions you raising has been thoroughly addressed, it has been proven beyond any iota of doubt that the modern day practise of tithes is not biblical or applicable to Christians. Tithes as it is preached and practised today is at best a fraudulent manipulation of the biblical one. That asides several examples of tithers abound who are living in penury whilst more examples of non tithers abound that prospering big time so just stop this your over recyled fraud and let's have some peace.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can Christian Work In Brewery? by KunleOshob(m): 9:38am On Jul 06, 2011
@wetu
Those scriptures you are trying to quote out of context where addressed to specific sets of people under certain conditions, it was never a rule for the general people of Israel how much more christians.
Deut 14:25-26
Sell your produce and take the money with you to the one place of worship. 26 Spend it on whatever you want- beef, lamb, wine, beer and there in the presence of God you and your families are to eat and enjoy yourselves.

The above passage makes it clear we can even drink beer in church as an act of worship grin so I don't know what all the hypocrisy is about. Luke 33-34 makes it crystal clear that Jesus use to consume wine regularly no matter how much you want to twist that passage. You don't call someone who abstain from wine a winebibber. That is apart from the fact that Jesus turned water into (alcoholic) wine, he also served his disciples with wine at the last supper. Paul advised Timothy to take wine for medical reasons, the list is endless. What the bible advises is moderation in consumption of alcoholic beverages. Even Baba God brews alcoholic wine(palm wine) for us naturally so I really don't know were this religious hypocrisy about alcoholic consumption emanates from.

On the contrary many are deceived into believing they can receive miracles from Oyaks so called healing school and they end up dissapointed only to be lied to again that they have to sow more to activate the miracle.

Official confirmation that RCCG is a business concern.

@nuclearboy
What is wrong with taking over the customers of the former owner of a business when you buy over the company. From what I see here it was the whole business that was acquired not just the assets of the business in which case the lawyers would have factored in the the churches revenues (tithes, offerings, seeds e.t.c) into the valuation of the business concern. That is perfectly normal in business practise. It is worth more as a going concern with established customers than just selling the assets striped down.

I am absolutely serious, there is not one single verse in the whole bible quoted in proper context that forbids christians from consuming alcohol. If any thing there are several scriptures endorsing it. Infact the bible makes it clear that our lord Jesus christ consumed alcohol on a regular basis. (Luke 7 :33-34)

@joagbaje
And please stop giving us that bull that you pay tithe. We know for a fact on this forum that you are a notorious tithe collector and NOT payer as you try to mislead those who are not regulars on this forum.
Christianity Etc › Re: Can Christian Work In Brewery? by KunleOshob(m): 5:29pm On Jul 03, 2011
Why not huh Absolutely nothing wrong in a true christian working in a brewery or even consuming beer.

I strongly advise that you don't engage Joagbaje in any private discussion. His intentions are at best manipulative. He is also trying to protect the fraudulent organisation he works for. They must be exposed at all cost. You would be saving a lot of people from misery and bondage if you publish and circulate your expose on them.

Jesus was a carpenter, he obviously supported himself from his own sweat. That does not nullify the issue that he could have received material support from followers, but one thing is clear, he didn't go around soliciting and arm twisting people for money like you charlatans do today.

Mmmh ! This was a very interesting thread, much as what was written in the OP shocked me, that a supposed man of GOD could twist the bible in such an amateurish manner(even joagbaje) would not stoop this low. This thread removed all iota of doubt about Adeboye not deliberately misleading and exploiting his followers. Such a write up can only be inspired by selfish greed and no genuine man of God would have the audacity to twist the scriptures so brazenly.
Christianity Etc › Re: Holy Confusion (lol) by KunleOshob(op): 4:37pm On Jun 25, 2011
So called 'churches' denying God just because of money. The above article might be a joke but the truth that majority of churches deny God today since so many of them preach a distorted gospel most especially becos of money.
Christianity Etc › Holy Confusion (lol) by KunleOshob(op): 11:40am On Jun 25, 2011
I read about a small Oklahoma town that had two churches and one distillery. Members of both churches complained that the distillery was giving the community a bad image. And to make matters worse the owner of the distillery was an out spoken atheist. He didn't believe in God one bit. The church people had tried unsuccessfully for years to shut down the distillery. So finally they decided to hold a joint Saturday night prayer meeting. They were going to ask God to intervene and settle the matter.
The church folks gathered on Saturday night and there was a horrible thunderstorm raging outside and to the delight of the church members lightening hit that old brewery and it burned to the ground.
The next morning the sermons that were preached in both churches were on the power of prayer.
But the insurance adjusters promptly notified the distillery owner that they were not going to pay for the damages because the fire was an act of God and that was an exclusion in the policy.
The distillery owner was furious and he sued both churches claiming that they had conspired with God to destroy his business. But the churches denied that they had anything to do with the cause of the fire.
The presiding judge opened the trial with theses words: ¡§ I find one thing in this cause most perplexing-we have a situation here where the plaintiff, an atheist is professing his belief in the power of prayer, and the defendants all faithful church members are denying the very same power
Christianity Etc › Re: Have Reverence For Spiritual Authority by KunleOshob(m): 9:48am On Jun 25, 2011

Is it right for a spiritual vagabond like Oyaks to claim spiritual authority just becos he functions in the office of a pastor he established himself for personal gain?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Greater Truths Vs The Lesser Truths. by KunleOshob(m): 8:54am On Jun 24, 2011
Lesser truth: Pastor Oyaks is the senior pastor at CEC.

Greater truth: Pastor Oyaks is actually a charlatan who specialises in staging fake miracles, fleecing his congregation and teaching all sorts of heresies all with the calculated aim of making merchandize of them. In short the greater truth is that he is a fraudulent business man.
A charlatan makes obscure what is clear; a thinker makes clear what is obscure - Hugh Kingsmil
the above quote aptly explains the charlatan nature of most our penterascal preachers in their nairaland representative (joagbaje) who is always trying to obscure simple biblical truth with so called revelation knowledge 'revealed' to the chief charlatan Oyaks himself.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Emerging Conversation by KunleOshob(m): 11:46am On Jun 22, 2011
@Joagbaje
There is nothing wrong with submitting to a pastor as long as the pastor does not take undue advantage of it and lord it over the sheep. Also there are a lot of qualities expected in a pastor and the pastor must be a good example. I for one can NEVER submit to a pastor like pastor chris who is a confirmed fraud and is also notorious for twisting scriptures. His understanding of scriptures is twisted and shallow Hence I have nothing to benefit from his leadership.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Emerging Conversation by KunleOshob(m): 10:56am On Jun 22, 2011
@Joagbaje
Even as the head of the home, a man is not meant to lord it over his wife. He should treat her with love and respect. The case of children is different as you are still training them. However this is a poor analogy to use as it is obvious even on this forum that a lot of christians know the bible/the word of God far better than a lot of so called pastors like you. I for instance stopped attending my former church cause I knew I had nothing to benefit from the Pastor's shallow/twisted understanding of the scriptures. A couple of weeks ago I was invited for a thanksgiving service in a Redeemed Church. I was appalled by the Pastors poor understanding of scriptures. I also observed in a number of instances he deliberately twisted scriptures like you to fit his agenda. Why should I subject myself to such offensive teachings or submit myself to such a pastor huh

Christianity Etc › Re: The Emerging Conversation by KunleOshob(m): 9:27am On Jun 22, 2011
@joagbaje
That version of scripture you quoted from (GW) is definitely a very poor and mis-leading translation. What does it mean by "lower rank" in a church? Is it the same church that Jesus said we are all equals? Or is it the same church that James said we should not discriminate amongst ourselves? Yet a bible version is deliberately using terms that is anti-ethical to the church and baby teeth joagbaje is gleefully quoting from it just becos it suits your dubious agenda. Even if you want to be honest the second part of that 1 peter passage you quoted out of context also instructs church leaders not to lord it over their members, you cannot quote one part without the other respect in church is mutual. No oga and No servant. We are all equal. It is only agents of the devil like Oyaks that are beneath the rest of us 'ordinary' members of the body christ.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is Your Own Experience On Thanksgiving Days: by KunleOshob(m): 1:06pm On Jun 21, 2011
Why is thanksgiving always about giving money to the church in the guise of thanking God huh What is biblical basis[new testament] for this doctrine? Did Jesus not teach that the way to give to God is to give to the poor and needy?

Christianity Etc › Re: Did Jesus Drink Alcohol? by KunleOshob(m): 7:50am On Jun 21, 2011
@Image123

Colossians 2:16
So let no one make rules about what you eat or drink or about holy days or the new moon festival or the sabbath.

Colossians 2:20-22
You have died with christ and set free from the ruling spirits of the universe. Why then do you live as though you belong to this world? Why do you obey such rules as 21 'don't handle this' 'don't taste. That'."Don't touch the other"? 22 All these refer to things which become useless once they are used; they are only man made rules and teachings.

Infact Oga, I would suggest you read the whole of colossians 2. It thoroughly explains the spirit and motive behind all the false man made doctrines you people impose on believers today.

Not suprised joagbaje abandoned his own thread as he normally does, but at least he should have attempted his usual mumbo jumbo maybe he would have been able to convince some of their customers who now realise that CEC is one big fraud that they are not lying to them, they are just revealing 'lesser truths' to them becos of their baby teeth that can't handle the 'greater truth'

@kunle

pardon me what was I thinking not including a man like joagbaje who could raise the dead.

Actually if the list is extended,you might want to include the name of keneth hagin widely regarded as the father of the WOF movement.Be that as it may be he would not make my first ten
Yes the list cannot be complete if we don't include the names of a couple of WOF/penterascal leaders. Love them or hate them their influence on christianity today cannot be denied even if they are leading their followers to hell.
Christianity Etc › Re: 10 Most Influencing Men In Christian History by KunleOshob(m): 2:55pm On Jun 19, 2011
This list is not correct, not even one of our modern day gangsters in the WOF/penterascal movement. For instance according to CEC sources Oyaks has worked more miracles than Jesus, even his apprentice joagbaje raises people from the dead on a routine basis, I believe his name should come even before James who was just a 'baby' christian.
