lol wetin happen? |
Try to visit where this thing is made, I am damn sure u wouldnt wanna eat it... especially with these Ebolamania |
It pays to always have backups....options , as long as the coach isn't confused.. Meanwhile the German resilient players are not in the pitch yet ....even as Theo Walcott still recovering... |
Inside the hearts of the 22 players in the pitch , you would expect it to be 11 against 11, but na lie its 13 against 9 .... Etihad pull them off , money power .... U no see as Barcary dey look even from bench ? Nasri, Fabregas , Clichy, etc had their best while at Emirates Lol |
YorubaJesus: Marriage is just a piece of paper whether its cultural, legal, white or black. If two people are meant to be together, they will without the need of getting married. The statement is almost 100% correct! The koko of the matter and the reason of union is engulfed in ur statement. But everywhere in the world, there exist elements of recognition of parents of those to be united , and hence , u consummate the union according to norms therein |
Bootybuttchic: beautiful dress u had dereGuy you read my mind well no be small,. I wonder how many persons fit afford those kinda small setting with the annual salary of many people here in naija. @poster, I wish you a successful union, If u ask me however, I don't think your pictures were necessary, the breakdown was sufficient. |
@ poster, what are your fears ? Ball joints pulling off , expensive and rare repairs? Whether electrical or mechanical? Well, you said this is your first car, let me quickly pray it would never be ur last! ... Let me just make you note these things about owning and maintaining a car... Its important to have it @ the back and front of ur mind that a car probably has a life or rather something that need being cared for as ur own (pet, cat, goats even a human being with basic needs) If u are the type that's quite meticulous about ur health as in routine medical care, eating rightly, and on time, that even at a slight catarrh u take seriously...then, I would urge u to buy any ride of ur choice.....if and only if, these ur attributes would also be targeted at your new responsibility (car). Its as simple as that.... Lots of people say what they are used to or based on their experience. But for me after using Asian cars , German and American, I think its just all about maintenance ability, no car wey no good... As per handling and efficiency and all that...I challenge any driver on nairaland, let's go thru some of the worst of roads and best of it in naija on a long trip, not a dash......... Let me have the Benz 350-4matic or the BMW 330xi, the my opponent in the V6 discussion start, or evil spirit...... I would keep playing with that driver all the way thru out the journey to be safe, if he dares me further to try his luck, either he finds himself in the bush or on top of a tree at a bend ... That's on a lighter mood anyway... Bottom line, many cars operates on fundamental principles, how would u react to a dentist that wants to attend to ur tooth with a spanner and screw driver? ....replicate same to any mechanic wey be SUEGBE! |
AjanleKoko: Here we go againBro, I hope you are not a crusader of those blaming the president of the country if a car hits someone on the highway just below a pedestrian flyover or blame the president because she didnt give birth to a female child she has been wanting to have? .. read what I wrote there with an open mind pls. |
in as much I respect the courage and enthusiasm displayed by such a student.... I would like to state that , going forward regards to technology advancements and innovations, it would nice embarking on sustainable ventures or projects. There have been many claims or discovery of inventions such as aircraft, urine powered generators , this and that.... all these somewhat seem not to be meeting the needs of what is required. - Where are we as a country starting from? ... what can we actually boast of producing today? copying some futuristic innovations cant help out. - The basics need be revisited.... e.g, Nigeria is known to produce better copper wires even though copper seem to be out of today's world of science, I suggest we start from there, latch on it and get its best... - look around, every nook and crannies of naija household, for sure you would find a generator, at least I pass my neighbor... to imagine the millions imported into this country. - starting with such little things, and consolidating on it would help a long way. - We have good wood industry here, but imagine what is imported into the country this kinda of putting carts before horses seem to cut across every facets of Naija system. .... lets think about it.. |
is this kinda post, responses that get me somehow glued to Nairaland... I cant believe I read all the posts on this thread. It was like an exchange of letters or emails .... a client voicing his frustration out on suspecting thieves in the Naija wharf terminals parading as agents or terminal workers, some supposedly honest ones amongst these agents jumped out to clear the air for this client, and somehow was not not just only able to calm him down, but boldly opting to take responsibility of the clients clearing henceforth .... lol front page material if you ask me! nice one guys! |
well done on your sincerity in the post... wish u fast sale! |
Welrez: We just have to stop this nonsense. If it was a behaviour displayed only by children, it would have been easy to comprehend. It is an anomaly for an adult to indulge in such a puerile act. It might mislead an alien to think we are still in the Stone Age.Why front page sef? how I wish all these grammar would add 1% of gas to Egbin power plant? can these grammar detonate bombs? how many people have died or had heart attack as a result of the shouts of "UP NEPA" now hear this!! - as a matter of fact where I lived before, the shouts of "UP NEPA" helped me know when to change from Gen to NEPA, thereby saving cost - where I live currently, is somewhat quiet and all man on im own, if NEPA goes or comes, you hear natin.... I had no option than to connect an alarm to the public supply to alert me .... N2500 + N1000 labour ...... so my bro, lets hope and wish the shouts of "UP NEPA" would be like a tale we tell our generations... but as it stands now they (PHCN) are not ready! meanwhile "UP NEPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! |
chelseabmw: Be it Calculux, fhemmmy, femmy, dankiti and all.... if you post or make reference to any dealer here i will hide the post... you guys think making references will help here?Funny enough I have not really noticed say na you be the moderator for auto section. Guy , I have read your posts, ur message and responses, I would urge you to be more neutral as a moderator, although, sometimes you could be misunderstood by some comments which some people could mean to deviate from ur intent. Auto section is quite sensitive, same as politics section.... Wish u more wisdom bro ... |
gab4u: Lol...I swearLol , ![]() Guy, u make me laugh no be small, shake it off so u don't get tempted to sell ur soul to the devil especially as a result of transient things.... Meanwhile Guys take advantage of PayPal service now extended to naija.... Some things like these ordering etc that seem vague from the US are possible now.... |
incompetence plays a major role in the sad ordeal of collapse buildings, failed car engine as a result of wrong advice from mechanics, soaked walls around the toilet and bathrooms, etc etc.... |
Still available.... I can tell you the engine indeed requires the kinda oil recommended by its maker... they work better.. |
The dominant force wants no competition at all, that's the game here with SON |
... if you are the type that's keen in following competition amongst manufacturing companies or service providers, you would observe lately the pioneer of the popular cement brand in the late 70's and 80's seem to be bouncing back, at least with the awareness of their product on media , etc.. Also you would notice the big masquerade in the biz of cement production in Nigeria now has a new brand or bag content tagged 3X etc... rating it as a higher grade. I understand cement grades that's been in use for conventional building has always been 32.5 grade, .... but just recently, SON (standard ORG of Nigeria), has just given a directive to upgrade to 42.5, attributing issues of collapsed buildings to the 32.5 grade.. however, with the recent market strategy of Larfarge, (Elephant Cement), its quite easy to relate the directive of SON to disqualify Lafarge, who already has a license for 3yrs to manufacture 32.5 grade of cement.. bottom line, its obvious many African biz people hates competition, the big masquerade in the biz today, seem to be turning some screws on Lafarge... I might not be a professional, but I know that when there is a PROPER mix and RATIO of cement with its brodas in the biz (sand, granite/gravel, rods etc)... you would definitely get an outstanding result that can last a lifetime.. Not all those talk of cement grade and what have u, ... if you like carry grade of 50.5 build house, with improper mix ... you will still get collapsed building,, THATS MY TAKE! > > > > > > > > MTN-glo,airtel MULTICHOICE - startimes, daarsat etc , etc if not for emergence of those in small caps, one could imagine what the others would have done... Make your product or service rendered top class and worth the money, customers would be happy for it, rather than using influence to bring down competitors http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/06/26/dangote-lafarge-others-in-cement-quality-war/ |
When some persons say they loose their phone contacts due to theft, robbery, phone loss etc... Thats exactly what you get when you dont backup. Nairaland was hacked, and data was lost... apparently , last successful backup for this blog site was Jan this year, thus they are reverting to it.. if they only had a backup of only August 2010 and beyond, "MERCEDES BENZ THREAD" wouldn't have been amongst any post in "Auto" section, also "Car Talk" page wouldn't have been there as well... for me, its just a lesson to us.... get a backup!! nice to have you guys back and the site back online too! |
.... with over 70% of leaders of APC belonging to one particular tribe or religion.... Thats a big worry for me.. |
^^^^^^^^^ it should have been best you started with one of the false news .... (so to speak) |
Thanks alot for this, May God Bless you... |
shugacaneman: from the door handle that car looks like innoson productAre u inferring that innoson products are bad? |
Benz & BMW can do over 200km/hr on virtually on many highways in naija.... why?... its because you somewhat feel the sense of safety as you pull easily thru those gears and the tachometer ready to go all the way.. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE TEMPTED.... live to drive again.. |
Trac: I wasn’t going to break the thread. The reason I appealed to Kuntash so that I don’t infringe on what he has started.bro, there is no more or less to anything that u are not seeing. its a normal nairaland thread response pattern .., before this time, I could recall how much I advised the site owner, Seun, on the need to have seperate thread aside sell sell sell on auto section... alas, it came to existence... so I think we all should be happy to talk about how to use and repair and maintain the vehicle we must have bought from nairaland. there are threads i have started that didnt pass more than one or two responses. mercedes benz has been a popular brand of car even in the days of our grand fathers, however, its maintenance appeared vague or complicated to many people. and this thread came in when the relatively successful w202 became very popular in this part of the world, and remember also that this thread made a front page! on the issue of repetitive queries and responses, it could be attributed to ur absence for a considerable period..... thus spot-on answers were scarce .. again, the administrator wouldn't have issues redirecting the thread after a 99th page. so no worries.... I have seen it happen on the ever popular, "Real cost of building a six bedroom duplex" that was almost aired on CNN .... (I beg make una no quote me o .. Lol ) lastly, many of us like me arent that patient to read thru , thread by thread to get already answered queries, ...... nonetheless, I have gained immersely by way of this thread and has helped many even car and part dealers by way of it.. thanks alot Trac ... @ all, attempt to go thru pages one to eight , its most likely u would find answers...especially for benz newbies |
Halos, good people, don't know if this had been treated... can anyone confirm the heated side mirrors are permanently heated?.. in Naija, 25c is considered as quite cold. and I understand , it should be off at more than 25degree centigrade. I only just noticed it this morning. does it always stay on? I mean heated? Blame me less pls , lazy reader here.... ![]() |
Trac: Your setup is wrong. Iron and aluminium do not share the same coefficient of expansion.Halos Trac, been a while, I have been out too... trust all is good with you.. aikerism: Welcome back Trac its been a while!I see u are in Abuja... It was difficult getting Behr here in Lagos too, but was lucky with a thorough search @ Ladipo market. one trick to bear in mind though if I may assume many parts sellers might not be too privy to this thread ... DO NOT LET THE SELLERS KNOW THE THERMOSTAT BRAND IS SO IMPORTANT TO YOU, just tell them there is smthn you are looking for in the engine, with ur one eye looking for "BEHR" brand on many used engines displayed....you sure would find one.. |
@ poster, you might need to edit your subject thread... or do u mean an engine with absolute zero maintenance ? |
Rick9: Benz M Class or E Class Or C Classbuy the three, they fall into different needs.. ![]() ML-350, E320, C280, C220 or C240 |
Siena: Of course, the principle of the automobile remains the same, regardless of brand.Thats the koko or nitty gritty of knowing the fundamentals.. all of a sudden you just feel you can use, understand fully & maintain any automobile. |
Is it save to use winter types here in Nigeria. I have two that are in a very good condition.
the issue of safety could be relative in this context. materials for making tyres for seasons , e.g for winter & snow differs from that used in making for other seasons winter tyres could be prone to break at excessive temperature. aside the materials used in making it, the most visible diff of winter tyres is the threading on the surface, its so to enhance traction during snow or in muddy areas. and since you cant eat your cake and have it... there is the tendency of increase in gas usage. to your question in detail, I really dont know why SON permits such tyres though, maybe because it could pass to be used in muddy areas, since we have a couple of muds.... but usually its not designed for the tropics, and its not meant to be used during excessive heat.. so for you to be safe , stick to what the car maker tells you... |
