Sports / Re: Agu & Aina dropped from Nigeria's final World Cup list. by lacidi: 2:27pm On Jun 03, 2018
Aina has been useless in all the matches he has played for Nigeria. He was terrible against Argentina and Congo. Only a person who does not follow the Nigerian matches would want Aina in this team. There is no sentiments here, he failed to show any quality when he was given the opportunity. Elderson played all the qualifying matches and was never as bad as Aina. Those are facts. As for Agu, it was a toss up between him and Joel and the coach went with Joel because he can play as a midfielder, winger and left back. For an obvious reserve player, such versatility is important.

Oga, that porsche is not N45million, Nigerians like to spread fake rumours..

That car is not even a brand new, of course he cant buy the brand new for her as a gift.
That is a 2011 porsche and its sold for N11million roughly..
The 2017 Porsche taga4 is not even upto 45million, it sold for $100,000, that is roughly N36million. (pics bellow is that of a 2017 porsche taga 4) and the 2011 Porsche Davido bought is the one below
All this celebrities and s hyping.. undecided
You are a hater. The two cars you compared are not even the same type of car. What Davido bought is a Porsche Cayenne. The cheapest Cayenne is N47m. You may check out the Porsche website https://www.porsche.com/middle-east/_nigeria_/models/cayenne/.

The cayenne in the picture is also not a 2011 model. It is a 2017 model. Check out the pics on the Porsche wesbsite.

You also said that a car Of $100k is equivalent to N36m. It shows how ignorant you are. You forgot shipping and clearing costs? Typically, the applicable duty for such cars is 70% of cost. Next time be sure at you are writing.

what is your own definition of dishonesty? What do you understand by business strategy? I said it before 'I'm not advocating for tstv' but every start-up business will roll out their plan, and what they have in stocks for their customers.
... and when you talk about being honest dstv will tell u ait, stv, Lwt mitv and the likes are free to air channels but let your subscription expire then u will know that there's nothing like free to air in their plan, what do u call that one? Prehonesty?

Lol. This guy I hope you are enjoying the Tstv channels. Please make sure you discard Dstv and all the other providers and stick with Tstv. I told you b4 that you argue for the sake of winning, not because the argument is factually correct. At least Tstv have confessed that there won't be any live football for now. Same thing I've been saying, but you chose to argue. So see you next season. Let's see if you will watch EPL on Tstv. Smh

Dishonesty is never a business strategy. It is only Nigerians that applaud such as a strategy. No company that builds on dishonesty survives, and that's my grouse with Tstv. Note that there wont be any EPL on TSTV next season. You can take that to the bank.

u haven't made any point, so u expect them to broker a deal with premiership when we all know this season will end next month? Can u pay for a movie in a cinema when you know that the movie will end in the next five minutes?
I'm not advocating for tstv but I don't expect any live EPL match for the season (and if they air it that's bonus) but next season will be booom!
If you knew all this why then did they illegally broadcast the same EPL via Bein and you did not call them out. Why did you and your like support the illegality in the first place?
TV/Movies / Re: TSTV Will Not Broadcast Live Football Match For Now by lacidi: 7:24am On Apr 04, 2018
I was insulted when I stated in the other thread that TStv have no transmission rights for any live soccer. I was called names by all these boys on Nairaland, so I just decided to adopt siddon look mode. Nigerian can be so thick headed sometimes and don't want to see reason even when the facts are starring them in the face. One of them even said that Canal+ has transmission rights for EPL in Nigeria and the DSTV was showing Italian League illegally through Rai. The things people say on Nairaland just befuddles me.

I just laugh when I read all these sentimental comments. Today is gone, did TSTV show any Champions league match? By weekend, you should also tell us the EPL match they will show. Sometimes arguing or trying to make sense on Nairaland is so cumbersome because there are so many ill infomrmed people trying to win arguements from an ignorant stand point. This thread will still be here by end of the season and you guys will be waiting for live EPL on Tstv. Smh.

Gr8amechi:

You are the one that is getting it wrong, first you said only dstv has right to show epl in Nigeria, now you are saying epl can only be shown on SS3, SS5 But that's not true, those re exclusive channels of dstv, however canal+ has its own sports channel and they have rights to air epl directly but in French not in English. That's what you should have said, go to their website you would see they have right across Nigeria, however their subscription isn't entirely cheap
Oga, please I'm done with this discussion. The problem is that you just want to win an argument. I am in the industry. I am involved in brokering tv rights so I'm not guessing. Canal+ does not have EPL broadcast rights in Nigeria. You may save yourself from all these argument by sending them an email or a Twitter message. This will be my last response on this subject. Have a good day.

Gr8amechi:

Hope you saw attached photos of the areas that canal+ covers, sometimes you may have Alot of knowledge but definitely can't know it all, canal+ specifically stated Nigeria as part of their coverage
You still want to continue arguing. Canal+ is like Supersports. They transmit several sports events on the various Canal+ channels. They have the French league and other football events. So Canal+ can actually sell viewing rights to Nigerians for those leagues. However they cannot sell the EPL bouquet to Nigerians. It's just like when Hitv was transmitting EPL in Nigeria. It did not stop Supersports from also transmitting to Nigeria, but not the channels that show EPL i.e SS3, SS5 etc.

If I want to watch EPL on Canal+ in Nigeria, I can go to Togo or Cameroun and buy Canal decoder and pay the subscription. Then I can take the decoder to my house in Nigeria and be watching. However, the difference here is that the subscription is being paid in Togo. I can do that because it is in the privacy of my house and not for commercial consumption. I hope I have clarified.

Gr8amechi:

Is Nigeria in West Africa or not?? Rights are given based on regions, what you can say is canal+ can only broadcast in French hence if you want to use it it must be in French.
People like you never want to learn, that’s the problem. Let me break it down again. Canal+ does not have the right to broadcast EPL to Nigeria. For EPL rights, Nigeria is considered a separate entity. This was as a result of the issue that arose during the time of HiTV when the minister of communication, Francis Nweke, petitioned to Premier League requesting that Nigeria be unbundled form the sub Saharan African bouquet. Since then Nigeria is treated as a separate region. That is why you have specific Supersports channels for Nigeria different from the normal Supersports channels that are transmitted to other west African countries like Ghana etc. e.g there is SS3N, SS5N etc. The N stands for Nigeria. There is no other country in sub Saharan Africa that has the countries name attached to its Supersports channels. Hope this clarifies.

That's not true, canal+ also has right to show epl in West Africa just google and find out, it's been an error that we all have been thinking that only dstv has right to air epl in West Africa region.
Go to neighboring French speaking West African countries and see they watch epl and they don't do that through dstv... Just do a few Google Search and see
Oga, Canal+ does not broadcast EPL in Nigeria. They have broadcast rights in French speaking west African countries. Please google is your friend. We are talking of Nigeria here and not francophone West Africa. Please note the difference.

Today is 1st. So can one of these people advertising TsTV show us the actual sport channels? No need deceiving people. The problem I have with TsTV is the lies. They should come out and state clearly that they don’t have EPL but that they have some other leagues etc. They cannot continue lying forever. There are EPL matches today and I want TSTV marketers on Nairaland to show us screenshots of the matches from their Sassy decoder.

Your guess is as good as mine. The only way is probably for him to improvise a devised strategy which could end up having a negative impact on the mother board and other computer programs in the vehicle. It's highly sophisticated and requires adequate and thorough maintenance only by Tesla.

You can charge a Tesla with your normal home 220v socket. It only takes longer to charge than charging in a public Charging station. Also Tesla is sold in the UK with 220v charging, so there is no problem using it in Nigeria. You can read more about Tesla charging here https://www.tesla.com/charging

When you but a Tesla in the US you can also request for an optional 220V charging kit, so it does not matter where you bought the Tesla, 220v charging is available.

U should get ur facts right. The only thing that would make a subscription expensive is live sports, and for this part of the world it is the English premiership and champions league. Movies and series are just extras, u can always download ur movies and watch anytime u like, u can't do the same with live football. Once u miss the match then rewatching it has no value as u already know the result. Watching it live (as e dey hot )is the Koko.

And u can hardly find a cable TV that would show u newly released movies, what they show u are old movies. If u want premium movies u can only get them through pay per view which DStv offers through box office. It is done like that world wide, but u have to pay to rent the movies. If u think any cable TV will give u movies like Wonder woman then u have to wait till after like 1 yr of release.
Why waste you time trying to educate people that had shut off their thinking cap.

And then TSTV want to offer those services for just 3k and then u ar hating, y are u hating bro. either u like it or not we go buy TSTV.
They were not hacked! They did not have the rights for the matches and Bein knocked them off! When will you guys stop being sentimental and try and be a little bit practical about facts starring you in the face!! TSTV cannot show EPL, period. Why don't you just accept that?
