And then TSTV want to offer those services for just 3k and then u ar hating, y are u hating bro. either u like it or not we go buy TSTV. They were not hacked! They did not have the rights for the matches and Bein knocked them off! When will you guys stop being sentimental and try and be a little bit practical about facts starring you in the face!! TSTV cannot show EPL, period. Why don't you just accept that? Even the BEin sport you are talking about does not show EPL for 3k!! |

So why were they lying? We can all see that they don’t have Bein, CNN, MTV just like people said at the beginning. They denied the letters from Bein and Turner networks and said they were forged. They claimed they were hacked when Bein blocked them. Why all those lies? Where is the intergrity for such an organization? At least it is clear that people were right all along that they don’t have the rights to broadcast EPL. The lies were totally unnecessary. I hope they have learnt that intergrity matters in business. |

Christianity Etc › Primate Nicholas Okoh Speaks On Tithing by lacidi(op): 2:38pm On Nov 14, 2017 |
Anglican Primate, Okoh speaks on tithe controversy https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Primate-of-the-church-of-Nigeria-Anglican-Communion-Most-Reverend-Nicholas-Okoh.jpg
The Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Nicholas Okoh has spoken on the issue of preaching and collection of tithe by pastors.
The issue of tithing has generated a lot of controversy in recent days, geared by a controversial CoolFM On Air Personality, OAP, Daddy Freeze.
Primate Okoh, who spoke with select journalists in Abuja on the subject, said payment of tithe was not by force, adding failure to pay doesn’t bring about curse.
He explained, “Tithing is a very ancient tradition, Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek and people have become transfixed to that idea till today, but in the New Testament, giving modalities have other options.
“One, it says, set aside something every week which you think would be handsome for the glory of God and give that. Whether that is 10 per cent or whatever per cent, I don’t know, but the instruction is, set aside something every week.
“Then, there is the gift required to give by all; the first concept is that your life is a living sacrifice. A sacrifice is something you offer and withdraw your hand, that means the Christian offers his life totally and the totality of his training, his money and everything he has belonged to God.
“Therefore, the question of saying, ‘God take 10 per cent, I would keep 90 per cent’ does not arise. Let me give an example: If you are a tither and you give 10 per cent to the Church, and after giving this percentage, somebody is very sick, and you still have your 90 per cent, will you close your eyes to the person’s need?
“You see, that is one of the weaknesses of tithing if you follow it mechanically. Then furthermore, in John chapter 6, Jesus asked people who had food to bring it, but only one young boy who had a lunch pack–two pieces of fish and five barley loaves, offered his.
“The mother gave him to eat as he was going about with Jesus so he would not be hungry. When Jesus asked for the bread, it was not only that boy that had, many had and did not bring, but the boy brought his own, he did not give Jesus two pieces of fish and keep the rest, he did not give the barley loaves and keep the fish, he gave everything and because he gave everything, the blessing of God multiplied it over and over.
“So the intention of the mother was met, the boy had enough to eat, other people who were there, almost 20,000 had enough to eat and to spare. Now, those who had and did not bring, their own became a waste. So, the point in this matter is that, when God is asking for something, you don’t give him 10 per cent.
“You give him what is worthy of his name: it might be more than 10 per cent, it might be 10 per cent, it might be anything depending on the situation he has placed you bearing in mind that every good and perfect gift comes from above.”
On the stand of some pastors that anyone who refused to pay tithe was under a divine curse, he said, “no , I don’t believe it, I don ’t curse anybody, God does not compel us to go, he only makes us willing to go. If God has given you a gift, he woos your mind, he makes you to see why. Remember that the gift you gave does not promote God.
“He is not a young officer that would be promoted a senior officer or to an executive by your gift. God is full, according to the theology of Colossians, God is full, complete.
“When you give, it is you the giver that is blessed. The person giving is the one lifted up, God is not hungr . According to Psalm 50, he said if I were hungry for meat, I won’t tell you, the whole cattle on a thousand hills belonged to me.” http://dailypost.ng/2017/11/11/anglican-primate-okoh-speaks-tithe-controversy/ |

Please go to the premier league website and see the list of authorized broadcasters. CTL is not a satellite station and is only transmitting in about 4 - 5 states. CTL launched a satellite TV called Trend Tv some years ago but could not broadcast the EPL via their satellite transmission. They ultimately discontinued the satellite option because no one was buying. Why do you think that happened? |

I really don't know why people are rejoicing because of pictures. No one has ever said that TStv will not start transmission. The issue is WHAT CHANNELS WILL TSTV BE SHOWING? Their website is surprisingly silent on this. All we have heard are speculations. So if I'm buying TStv on 1 November, I'm I not entitled to know the channels in advance? Should I buy before knowing the channels? Why are they not showing the test transmission that will advertise all their channels? So all the people here that are rejoicing, please what channels will you be paying for on the 1st? Do you buy stuff 1st before knowing what you bought? Why are we not asking these simple questions? All I see is buy Nigerian, be patriotic etc. Apart from the owners of TStv is there any other thing that differentiates them from Kwesé or Dstv as per source of materials or employee salaries? Is anyone here a shareholder in TStv? Glo is Owned by a Nigerian, so are they giving you better value for money than MTN and Airtel? Haba! |

ebuka1511: After reading your writes up, I am not surprised, we all part of the "bring him down'' syndrome, we don't encourage ourselves. Lots of starts up have come and gone because we do not have the will power to support our own. For once can't we have a thing we can call ours? Ethiopia have their airline and coffee going for them, they even boast of their own telecom company, though its state controlled, Kenya have their Parks and Tourism. But we here, we always have this penchant of going for foreign goods at the expense of our product, how do we grow? I honestly pray that TSTV bounces back, have heard of tales of how the major competitor went about going to companies that gave TSTV content right to broadcast their channel 5Million dollars to cancel their agreement. and we are so gullible, happy that TSTV is going down, will not live up to its promises, but note this, if our mindset is always this way, we will never grow individually and as a nation. When you glorify at others down fall, you can never grow. For me, nothing makes the world interesting as having choices to make from. its like the Telecom industry, i can bet you no sane individual have just a sim to one network only. we all have various sims, and we can all give plausible explanation for it, for me, Glo for data, as Glo is the best in data in my area, MTN my major personal line for calls and Airtel for my official line. In summary, lets try and support our own, encourage ourselves and we will all grow. That you can afford to pay 14k to watch your premium content provided by one competitor should not stop Mr. B to enjoy same content provided by another competitor at a cheaper price. live and lets live. Will you guys stop this childish rant? If TSTV got the rights from the content owners, there is no way those people will come back and remove the rights. It will be breach of contract! You think you can just cancel international agreements just like that? Why cant TSTV show us any of those agreements they signed? Haba, lets reason a little like enlightened people and stop all these sentimental bull crap. |

LivingBetter: Op, this is where they are now. You can get its test transmission signal for now with any HD free to air decoder like Strong, and later when they are done, the channels will be encrypted which can ONLY be accessed with TSTV decoder. Pls when they are fully operational, make another thread later to counter this one.
One of the much talked about Bein Sports is on air now as can be seen in the list below Does Bien Sports1 show EPL and La Liga? Note that Bien has over 10 sports channels just like Super Sports. For e.g. if you have Super Sports 1, or 9, you wont be watching EPL or La Liga. Also from the list, I can see that the channels are all free to air channels. |

With all the talk about how Nigeria is paying the highest DSTV subscription I just decided this morning to google the prices of Satellite TV subscriptions in US, UK and some selected African countries. What I saw was really an eye opener (see below) as it appears as if Nigeria actually pays the lowest. I will really want people living in these countries to confirm if the information I got online is accurate or not.
See the prices:
USA Dish network Premium $80/month = N28800 Cheapest Plan $40/month = N14400
DirectTV Premium $125/month = N45108 Cheapest plan $30/month = 10800
UK Sky Premium GBP60/mth = N28528 Virgin GBP55/mth = N26150
AFRICA
GHANA (DSTV) Premium – GHC330 = N26,900 Access – GHC35 = N2,846
SOUTH AFRICA (DSTV) Premium – R789 = N21,232 Access – R99 = N2,600
ANGOLA (DSTV) Mega – AKZ13400 = N28738 Access – AKZ1,650 = N3538
CHAD/CAMEROUN (DSTV) Premium - $82 = N29591 Access - $12 = N4,330
NIGERIA (DSTV) Premium – N14,700 Access – N1900 |

Nigerian citizenship is not acquired automatically by marrying a Nigerian. There are more than 100,000 women married to Nigerians who have not been granted Nigerian citizenship because they have not lived in Nigeria for up to 7 - 10 years. Even if you lived here for more than 7 years, the granting of citizenship is still discretionary. Most people assume that once you marry a Nigerian then you are automatically a citizen. This is not so. Nigerian law is quite different from US or European Union laws. In fact, Mrs. Oshiomhole must be the fastest Naija wife to receive Naija citizenship. |
