PoliticsBreaking News: Ribadu May Head Inec, Charges Dropped! by ladi02(op): 11:54am On Apr 01, 2010
In what is seen as a prelude to his appointment as Special Adviser to the Acting President on Anti-Corruption, the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation has applied to the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for the withdrawal of the case of non-declaration of assets instituted against the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
It is not yet clear if the current EFCC Chair, Mrs Farida Waziri, will report to him if he is eventually appointed by Acting President Goodluck Jonathan.

At the CCT sitting in Abuja yesterday, the AGF, represented by the Special Assistant on Litigation, Dr. J. O. Olatoke, stated that his application for withdrawal of the case had nothing to do with a new application the defence counsel intended to submit for CCT to strike out the case.
The defence counsel, Mr. Femi Falana, represented by Mr. Samuel Ogalla, had earlier made known to the Acting Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Murtala A. Sani (SAN), his intention to submit an application to the CCT to strike out the case against his client.
Ogalla’s application was rejected by Justice Sani based on the fact that the tribunal had no substantive chairman and therefore could not take a new motion but could only attend to non-controversial matters

PoliticsRe: Where Is Obasanjo In All These? by ladi02(m): 11:15am On Feb 26, 2010
Gbawe:
OBJ is keeping a low profile. This is the right thing to do because OBJ , more than anyone else , is responsible for this mess. Of all the sophisticated, detribalised, enlightened and exposed leaders Nigeria has OBJ had to go and choose a reclusive, tribalistic, vengeful and feudalistic simpleton (yes he is a simpleton) to run the affairs of our complex nation. To make matters worse , Yar dua came with one of the worst baggage possible - an unexposed and unenlightened housewife who fancies herself as Condoleeza Rice !!!!
Well said Gbawe!
CrimeRe: AIT Reporter Efenji Efenji Stabbed To Death On Vals Day by ladi02(m): 3:56pm On Feb 18, 2010
saharachic:
You guys are just blaming the police. But what about the dead victim, what if he had restrained, his life would have been saved. wasnt that the right time for him to go call the police or vigilantes to handle the boys than taking it upon himself? didnt he trust his wife? wasnt it a party? would they go to a party like that and they would not dance? they would have known better.
You nor get sense, so of all the people to blame you blame a married man for not leaving his wife to dance with hoodlums. i just cant believe someone can say such a thing after a sad thing like this.
