You really should move out. Staying with your parents give a feeling of false comfort and makes one inadvertently lazy.

Another thing is that, regardless of your age, as long as you stay with your parents, you really cannot make an independent decision, your parents will always have a say in your decisions.

infact, all the flyovers on that ijoko-berger...that project has been on for 7yrs and it has always been in shit. Ijoko, Agbado, Abule Ekun, Akute and Yakoyo (alagbole). It has all just been promises on promises. One cannot drive without having issues with the car. I'm really sorry for those that their properties were demolished for a project that may never see completion.

Well, I really do think Spain can crash out of this competition in the group stage if they go on to lose this match. Psychological effect of a change in coach has its way of affecting team performance even though the team has top players.

Since Morocco has dashed Iran 3points, they're technically out. Iran can go through with 4points, I believe they can cause serious problems for even the best teams as they showed in 2014.

Family / Re: My Uncle Takes His Daughter For Virginity Tests Annually --- Is It Ideal? by LaExpert: 9:03pm On Jun 07, 2018
Daeylar:
This is beyond disgusting. Her virginity is her business , she is above 18, she does with her body as she pleases. It disgusts me when I see men(or anyone really) trying to act as if they own the female body (either their daughters or sisters or wives or andom women)
However even if the girl is below 18, this is still disgusting. She has sole ownership of her body.

Regarding the bold; as long as someone is still responsible for her, she has to be accountable to the person. If something happens to her, will she take care of herself?

PS: I'm neither in support of nor against what the Uncle is doing. I just know I can't do such.

I'm proud of your comment.

I'm really sad to see our so called 'future leaders' reasoning like this, it is very embarrassing to us as a nation.

How can someone get below par performance for a service fully paid for and voice her concerns only for the populace to start saying shit and even 'pitying' the hubby?

The wedding planner did not even care to apologise or try to make amends to pacify the aggrieved customer.

How can Nigeria progress with this poor mentality the youths have? I weep for Nigeria.

I guess, in your stupid logic, those missionaries who didnt tell the people this your mumu talk but built free/ affordable things for them must be stupid. A typical black goat reasoning. If you were a missionary thats what you would have told Africans then. Blacks can't even take of their people in a humane sense but they blame some whites for seeing them as inhumane semi-animals.

Thats why their brand f Christianity has not changed the country. Inhumane selfish brand that cant bring socialistic distribution of wealth to uplift the poor like it complemented capitalism in the west.

Mr Ignorant, just think for once before you say trash.

Those 'missionaries' you keep saying are majorly Catholics, Adventists, Baptists Anglicans etc. They all still exist and all have schools today...and those schools aren't free neither are they affordable to you and the 'poor'...and that's why you will keep complaining. In fact, Babcock (Owned by the Adventist Church,) is one of the most expensive private schools in Nigeria.

Infact, I challenge you to show me 10 free Universities that have been built by missionaries.

If Winners for example, want to begin an outreach in a remote village in the North and they build a secondary or primary school, do you, in your ignorant mind, expect them to pay a fee in such school?

My profession does not allow disclosure. Does not mean I dont know.

In closing my submission, I wont waste time on people like you whose business it is that Falz highlighted. Falz mentioned politicians, fulani herdsmen, those on codeine diet, Yahoo boys, SARS, even took a swipe at the IGP. But its only "dagbo" church men who have specialised in hoodwinking the masses that are up in arms. The real men of God would be insightful and analyse the statement and ask why it resonates so much with the masses. But no. Here you are trying to "educate" me. I only pity people who key into your "educaion", because that is the source of your "market".
Am out.

You've made no point, Mr Insider Information.

If you want free education, cry out to those in government, mismanaging your money...or seek scholarship; the Church is not obliged to give you free education. You may as well remain in your ignorance.

Even Falz wasn't asking for free education.

You can keep your "education", it is for gullible people who dont have the insider information that I have. I know about cost of running these Universities and how much they make.
Not to deviate from d crux of the matter, Falz said "there is no law that allows you to take money from the church, invest in business, and privatise it". Go and check the laws of the land. Because we dont obey law in Nigeria, una de do anyhow. Falz is a lawyer.

Go and try this in UK or other serious societies where law and order is upheld. Charities have rules spelling out how they are to be run.

Mr Insider Information, please can you give an analysis of the revenue and expenditure of Covenant university and stop making a fool of yourself in public.

Back to what Falz said, I have no problem with it...Church money should not be stolen and used for a private business, Fine. So where does the school you're clamouring about come in?
Education / Re: Falz And His Shenanigan Lamentations Against Nigerian Church Universities by LaExpert: 1:31pm On May 27, 2018
HeyCorleone:

Falz' contention was not on "free schools". His point was on the exorbitant fees. I mean ain't nothing wrong with Covenant charging 100-200k for fees. Worried about paying the staff?

You know how those missionary boys did it back then? Rather than employ teachers who would definitely increase the cost of running the school, the learned ones taught the students themselves. I mean ain't nothing wrong in a pastor with a degree in Engineering taking Engineering courses in a university as long as he's proficient. Such a pastor won't mind the little salary he receives because ultimately he's doing the work of God and his reward is in heaven.

The comment I responded to talked about free schools.

I'm not responding to Falz here.

By the way, those fees are really not exorbitant from the perspective of the quality they give and prices related schools outside Nigeria pay for the same quality.

However, the fees can said to be exorbitant because majority of Nigerians cannot afford it. I'm quite sure that most of the parents of the students in that school can afford to pay that sum...and even if the school charges 200k like you suggested, many people still cannot afford it, like the critics will say, the poor members will still not be able to pay.

Seriously go and borrow brain cos yours aint working.

When the missionaries were doing it, was it a crime? They were funding these schools from collections and free will donations. Today's pastors are more interested in private jets and earthly wealth. Do you know how many free achools one private jet can fund and for how many years?

You are blindly defending these church guys as if they were God, while they twist the word of God to exploit people.

Let me educate you since you've decided to be ignorant.

Nothing is really 'free.'
Whatever is free to you must have been paid or is being paid for or will be paid for by someone else.

The 'free' schools you mentioned were being paid for by other people as you mentioned.
The present day schools owned by churches are still being heavily subsidized to keep that amount you perceive to be outrageous to be that low. Funding those schools 100% will be too much of a burden to any church...well, except the standard of the school will drop.

Do a small research; compare the fees of missionary schools below Covenant to the the fees of Covenant and come here to say the difference.

Those missionaries that came to preach the gospel had several secondary school they ran for free, which one is your church running for free? And in your comparison to Government, ask yourself if the government is not also struggling to fund Secondary or even primary schools....

How do you even Justify fees in excess of a million or two in a bid to Justify the Church...

You want the Church to build free schools?

Clap for yourself...

I hope you'll pay the lectures, electricity bills, research costs and provide all other running costs.

According to Torah law, marriage is a two-step process. The first stage is called "kiddushin," and the second step is known as "nisu'in." Kiddushin is commonly translated as betrothal, it’s like the modern day ‘knocking on the door’ but actually renders the bride and groom full-fledged husband and wife. Betrothal is either through a contract, or through SEX!

The GOs are the ones leading people to hell because they are teaching the law, tithing is the LAW, first fruit is the LAW, the law is sinful, it puts you under a curse(Gal3:10) and cuts you off from Christ!(Gal5:4)

Sadly, many blind followers won't see the hypocrisy of this dumb message.

There he is, preaching the LAW to defend himself and condemning the Pastors that preach the same thing. Even the LAW he's teaching is being incorrectly taught by him.

Personally I think the problem is not the structure, but the people. The same structure that everyone is clamouring for to be changed, is working well all over the world.

That's the more reason the structure should be changed, it doesn't suit our people here. We cannot successfully change the people in 20years but we can change the structure in 2yrs. There are other forms of government that will work here in Nigeria.

5-4-1 is a good football formation and it works for many teams...but if you have more of attacking players, it won't just work despite being a good formation.
