deols: Whatever helps to uphold morality is Fine by me.

I just don't know if the Christian doctrine supports what the pastor did.

Under an Islamic law, each of them is entitled to 100 lashes of the cane. grin Not meant to be painful though and that is if they were caught in the act or came forward to say it. It is No Imam's business to snoop into other people's private affair.

Whatever is bad is simply bad and some hide behind calling others hypocrite to justify immorality. smh at them.
this is the new trend in the world

there are so many signs of end times in hadith and Qur'an, competition of tall buildings is one of them. since the prophet speaks the truth, building of tall buildings is gonna happen, no one can change it. these are the minor signs, the major signs are yet to come.

we have to prepare for it knowing fully well that judgement day is near.

May Allah forgive us.

Chimoski87: They only beggars I can't give my #1 are those Hausas/Fulanis who roam d streets especially in Owerri here which I presume to be almajiri. Hw can they be begging cos their ( religion of peace they say) makes it obligatory for them to embark dehumanising venture. Even after giving them money, u will see them d next day with seven children constituting nuisance to public peace.hw those women get pregnant & why can't their husbands take care of them & who is their husbands? I hope such pple don't exist in Lagos otherwise Baje Oni Eke
First begging is forbidden in Islam except u are close to death and have no option. If u live on the north, you would know that some people have taken begging as a profession, they arrive at buss top at 8am and leave at night. Islam has nothing to do with them. Do you know they have their association where they make contribution.

I schooled in the north and I don't feel compel to give at all and people around don't feel compel too because they will surely comeback the next day. When their begging tactics didn't work, they introduced the use of small kids saying they are sick and need small change. It's annoying but what can we do? Deport them? To where?

Of course he didn't, but if He was a muslim that made sure threats, he will be at guatanamo Bay by now. The reason they are treating it a terrorist issue is because in the past person have carried out such threat. There was a case of a white who crashed a plane into an insurance coy.

Nigeria economy will collapse if they even attempt to bid. its expensive hosting an Olympic. a world cup will be easier.
Sports › Re: Tokyo Wins Bid To Host 2020 Olympic Games. by lafuria1(m): 12:07am On Sep 08, 2013
is anyone really surprise Tokyo won it? I wasn't because I knew it was going to be ZONED to the Asians. oh yes they voted but of course by lobbying deciding countries. since 2012, Madrid had bid for the Olympics but lost to Britain, brazil and now Tokyo. I bet u if UAE or Kuwait decide to bid for 2024 Olympic games against Madrid, Madrid will still lose. if no middle east nation bid in 2024, Madrid will get it if not till 2028.

I really wanted Madrid to win it.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Mesut Ozil Officially Signs For Arsenal by lafuria1(m): 11:51pm On Sep 02, 2013
theoctopus: 42.5 million for Ozil is a bad buy. Why Spend that amount for a player that is slow and lazy and never tracks back or defend. Wenger knows Arsenal fans are so desperate, they will accept anything. He could have gotten Suarez for 50 million instead and then Arsenal's season would have changed drastically. Ozil will not change Arsenal much. If he was that good, Madrid will not let him go. They would have sold Di Maria instead. Panic buy me thinks and the fans are rejoicing because they have been so starved. They are even calling it the signing of the summer. So delusional. grin
Ozil has improved tremendously, he was very vital in Madrid triumph over Barcelona with assist to cr7. The only reason u mentioned that he his a bad guy is that he doesn't track back, well that's the work of a DM and knowing how fragile he is, he needs to conserve energy. We may agree and disagree on how good he is but stat don't lie. He has more assist than iniesta, Xavi and fabregas combined. Among all d attacking midfielders in the world now, ozil Will surely make top 10.

Phones › 23 Signs You’re Addicted To Your Smartphone by lafuria1(op):
1. You get slightly panicky when your phone is out of your line of sight.

2. …And ridiculously panicked when you accidentally leave it AT HOME.

It’s like you’re missing a limb.

3. You sleep with your phone on your nightstand, or worse, IN your bed next to you.

4. Your friends tried to make you do this game, but you freaked out and grabbed your phone even though you had to buy a round of drinks.

I mean, LOOK! That one’s lighting up! That could be a message for me! ASLFHA:GFHALHGJ

5. You justify being on your phone all the time because you “might miss a work email.”

6. A cracked screen would never stand in YOUR way.

7. You prune and manage your apps like it’s the White House lawn.

8. You maintain three to five text threads/Snapchat chains going throughout most days.

9. At least once a week you freak out that you can’t find your phone, and then realize it’s in your hand.

10. Turning your phone off during a flight gives you horrendous FOMO.

11. …but also makes you excited, because you know when you turn it on, you’ll have tons of notifications to go through.

12. You insist that you can do two things at once — text AND walk, text AND listen! — but we all know that you cannot.

13. Seriously! Everyone can see you failing at this.

14. Sometimes you see an Instagram go up right away, but you wait 30 minutes to like it because you don’t want to seem lame.

15. You talk to it even when you know it would be easier to type your question into Google.

16. The only time you turn your phone off is on an airplane.

Other than that, it just goes on silent.

17. You try not to do this at concerts, but you do it anyway.

19. You feel kind of dejected when you sneak a peek at your phone after a long dinner or meeting and you have no new notifications.

20. The idea of having to leave your phone in the store for repairs makes you ill.

21. You don’t mind getting to the bar before the friend you’re meeting, because you’re justified in losing yourself in your phone until they get there.

22. You constantly catch yourself trying to open apps you’re already in.

23 Feeling your day isnt complete without login in on Nairaland grin

After watching a documentary of El Salvador gang war, I feel no pity for this men. They manner at which they kill themselves is brutal. If u watch breaking bad (the TV show), thats just tip of the ice berg of how violent these guys are. At very young age u are indoctrinated into the gang, taught how to use knives and axe.

El Salvador has one of the highest rate of murder crime in the world today.

on the issue of polygamy and marriage proposal.

personally I have no intention of marrying more than one wife ever but am not ruling out the possibility. to we guys, polygamy is an easy issue but to the ladies it is not that easy. I simply tell her that I have intention of marrying more than one wife but there is possibility because anything can come up in the future.

to me it is out of mutual respect that one lets the lady he wants to marry know about his thought and plans of marriage, lets put them into consideration, it makes things lot easy.

As far one is not related to the person dressing inappropriately we won't bother. A guy will see a girl with exposed back, he stares, loves it and imagine things but if his sister should come along dressing same way, his face Changes, his reaction will be spontaneous, 'ada why is your back open, before I slap u, u better adjust, you want all d boys to see it right'.
That's human for you.

am not bother, he is not my state governor. nothing to gain if he stays or leave
Politics › Re: Lawyers Demand That Governor Suntai Steps-down by lafuria1(m): 10:58am On Aug 27, 2013
uchuutien: suntai's case is different from yaradua's, yaradua was at a departure lounge,he was on life support, and justice was neva done untill he eventually passed on.what are we talking about, suntai is fit to rule, those who are comparing this scenario to that of yaradua are being unfair and are only being sentimental about it because a christian is involved, they want a muslim to be unnecessarily confirmed as Gov to make history
Every one is sentimental about and that is y we have the law to take care of sentiments. Sentiments were use in yardua case and sentiments is being used now. The all crux of the matter is a muslim can't rule taraba state and yet u parade your selves as tolerable set of people. The muslims and Christians are selfish, intolerant of one another (sad truth). The ONLY reason given for him to continue is because only jang and Suswam will be christian Governors in the north nothing like development and we all cry of poverty, we never poor reach.

If suntai was a muslim and deputy governor was a christian, u will have reverse opinion and I bet CAN will voice their opinion but now they are quiet.
Anyway suntai should remain for d sake of peace because I know how silly and ignorant people can be. It is not like the deputy governor is better.
So please no body should pretend to be non sentimental on this matter.
Politics › Re: Governor Suntai Arrives In Abuja by lafuria1(m): 2:37am On Aug 26, 2013
i believe the man would love to resign but his wife and close friends out of selfishness wont want that. They are lucky the deputy governor is not the stubborn type who has little interest in becoming the governor that soon. it is the people of taraba state that will be affected the most.

i learnt the governor plans to take an official leave for 3 months, the plan is to keep him in power for as long as possible.
