Accepting that you have a problem is the first step to solving it, taking positive and direct action to solve the problem is the next step.

What we are doing is simply accepting that we have a problem and accepting it as normal or simply praying and hoping that one day it will go away or one day all the corrupt politicians will just up and die. POSITIVE and DIRECT ACTION not Redeem Camp and Fasting and Praying in the worlds 3rd largest Christian nation, Haba!!! angry

The world has come this far because of Capitalism, so duck your ideas and let christianity thrive, there are fools aplenty and loads of money to make, why do you think God likes Capitalism, let the forces work and let the end be determined by demand and supply, such a democratic self-servicer if you'd ask me. grin

This Cosmic entity called GOD is a neither an anomaly or a constant feature of the known and unknown universe. He is absolute nothing and yet definable something. He is infinte peace and at the same time total war. He is neither here no there and yet commands us to be either hot or cold while he can choose to remain lukewarm.

God knows the begining of beginings and the end of ends, yet the calamity that befalls the world and he watches because he has planned the end and knows the begining (even me sef i confuse) but let us not dwell on why we cannot explain God. he is a divine mystery that needs no explanation that the human mind can offer, you simply take it or leave it. If my 40-day fasting and prayer does not work out,  well; God's time is the best  sad . if I get a Job on the 5th, 20th, 30th or 40th or 41st day, then He has answereth mya prayer  grin

1.Super eagles is not equal to the falconet, that is the starting point.
2. If super eagles are paid $30K for a win, at least is reasonable that falconet be paid at least $5K.
Na wa to you oooh, just say that the female world cup has not caught the fancy of Nigerians to a level that will make them dump the worst performing Super Eagles for a bold and performing falconet in terms of audience and loyalty. if they were shabbily treated, then is goes to show you how far female football has come in Nigeria.

When they start picking the fancy of Nigerians as their male conterparts, they will get better treatement

From IG Onovo

“The question we must ask ourselves is why the menace has become permanent in the zone and why we are unable to control it. All the kidnappers arrested so far in the South East are Igbos; Igbos killing themselves in Igboland. Is it a political factor, that every person must make money by all means?”

“Even kidnapping in other places have been traced to Igbo boys; in far away Malaysia a Nigerian student was kidnapped and they made call back to the Nigeria demanding money. When the Malaysians arrested the kidnappers they were Igbo boys from Nigeria here. In South Africa it is the same: so is it in our blood? “
While commending the Enugu Command the IG announced that he would withhold the promotions of policemen in some State of the South East who are not living up to expectations in fighting crime especially as it concerns kidnapping.

After 50 long years that each successive government had to make things right about Security Agencies and Accurate record-keeping like they do in over-populous developing nations around the world, they simply ignored it because it pays to form racketeering business with Census figures, Travel passports (I had 3 passports at one time), Election results, Criminal charges (How did Ibori escape his criminal convictions before now ---No solid evidence angry Nigeria's corrupt enjoyed living in a society where there are no solid infrastructure to record all the criminal things they were up to. so why become concerned when smart (probably jobless university graduates) criminals outwit Onovo's pregnant-with-stupidity Police force.

No beef with Lulu or his Mother but the corrupt of this nation deserve whatever ill is coming to them, the way you make your bed is how you lie on it. simple. Who knows soon, intelligent jobless graduates  will start thinking up simple ways of assassinating wealthy politicians, after all their private security cannot cover all the empty gaps the Security that this nation is exposed to.

Our police force is so illiterate about modern Security practices and technology that it is no wonder criminals constantly have their way with the unprotected civilians in society. All they know is unintelligent brutality as a way to solve all their security problems,

That Fat turd Onovo say's he has invited the MOSSAD, he should just stuff his over-weight belly with yam beetles and hide in shame, the b-astard is just like his predecessors, unimportant and unsuccessful.

Let us know the crime rate in Abia, let us know the hotzones and let us know the nature of crimes, youwill see his fat lips mumble some unintelligent gibberish like monitoring elections by live feeds from Satellite, this dung beetle has been watching too much Jack Bauer 24 series.

some Naija girls are freaky alright, but most are just alan-posers, carry iphone and BB every second of the day BBMing and tweeting like they get paid a salary to tweet. but really they are just insecure, what you see is not confidence, it is shakoo ten-ten kobo,  the reason they go to parties and start takign pictures rather than getting social is because they are too insecure to step up to guys that have the goods and are mature, You will always see them hangin round area boys and guys who only speak in their tribal vernacular 24/7.

Leave them alone, their bleach-bleach makeup will do them in one day. stick with the intelligent and confident chics, they will give you a dance and make up with good conversation and if you are not a di.ck-head, they will do you in good time  grin

Christianity Etc › Vatican Set To Publish New Rules On Abuse (child Abuse By Catholic Priests) by lagerwhenindoubt(op): 10:22am On Jul 15, 2010
http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2010/07/14/vatican-set-to-publish-new-rules-on-abuse/?hpt=T2

Vatican set to publish new rules on abuse

The Catholic Church on Thursday is expected to release its new rules to try to prevent clergy from abusing children, a source close to the Vatican told CNN.

The rules will be aimed more at firming up existing practices, said the source, who asked not to be named because the source was talking about the regulations before they are made public.

The Vatican will add the possession of child indecency to the list of most serious crimes, declare the abuse of any mentally retarded person to be as bad as the abuse of children, and double the statute of limitations on the Vatican's prosecution of suspected abuse.

The Vatican also plans to make it a major crime against the church to ordain a woman as a priest, the source said.

Some critics of the Catholic Church have said that having women in the hierarchy could have helped prevent clerical child abuse. It is not clear if the hardening of the Vatican's longstanding line against women priests is related to the accusation.

The new rules on child abuse are a response to accusations against priests across Europe and the United States in the past several years, and come not long, in Vatican terms, after the last set of such rules was issued in 2001.

Pope Benedict XVI was a key in drafting the 2001 rules, when he was Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger.

The source said the new rules were designed primarily to set down in canon law what the church already practices.

They deal only with how the church handles allegations of misbehavior by clergy, the source said, explaining that it did not change existing Vatican policy of also reporting suspected child abuse to civil authorities.

Abuse victims are already saying the changes don't go far enough.

"There needs to be massive overhaul, not mere tweaking,of how the church
deals with abuse and cover-up," said Barbara Dorris, of the Survivors Network
of those Abused by Priests.

"As long as bishops can ignore and conceal child sex crimes without punishment, they'll keep ignoring and concealing child sex crimes," she said last week, responding to media reports about what the new guidelines would say.

"The focus needs to be on catching predators more quickly, involving secular law enforcement, and preventing recklessness and deceit by bishops, who can and should take many steps to protect the vulnerable long before the defrocking process begins," she said.

Thousands of people have come forward in the United States, Ireland, the Netherlands, Austria and the pope's native Germany to say they were abused as children by Catholic clergy.

The crisis has particularly shocked deeply Catholic Ireland, where three government-backed investigations have uncovered physical and sexual abuse stretching back decades.

Police in Belgium recenty raided the headquarters of the Catholic Church there, and later spent 10 hours questioning the cardinal who used to head the Belgian Catholic Church.

The pope has repeatedly said the Vatican will seek justice for victims.

Last month he said the church must promise "to do everything possible" to ensure that the sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests "will never occur again."

Benedict said the church must "insistently beg forgiveness from God" and from victims for the sexual abuse committed by Catholic priests. He also said priests must be more thoroughly vetted before joining the ministry.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Everyone Born With Original Sin? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 6:36pm On Jul 13, 2010
It raises another issue. is Jesus Christ acclaimed to be the only personality to have lived and lives without SIN?

He was born of Mary the Virgin through Immaculate Conception (as the Catholics will interject at this point) regardless he fell to the sin of Anger at the scattering of the Temple where marketers of worship and sacrificial items sold in open air.

So was Christ the Messiah truly without SIN wink
