I congratulate all patentees on this assembly. This thread made it to 100 pages. kiss kiss kissCongrats to the OP, Mr. Omokemesi. I hope before it reaches 200 pages, CCNL would have been victorious at supreme court.
Surely you are not kidding about the 200 pages thing .-- do you want to kill the dying hopes of patentees. Supreme Court will likely evict the case as did the Appeal Court. in the meantime N2000 will continue going into your coffers for Legal fees - You are truly cunning? grin

Well at least she is not like most ACN Politicians who promise everything but the kitchen-sink before they are elected. We all know where all this is headed, at least she is doing something and not making promises. Apathy for ACN at the grassroots is very high in recent times, Traditional ACNN loyalists at the grassroots know what happens after their vote is in the bag. What the Senator is doing is PR before 2015 (Tangible PR) If she can work with some Big Corporate Sponsors with robust CSR budget, she can actually get to the people that matter and have something to show for it rather than lofty promises. I hope she becomes better than Fashola given that the looming shadow of the 1-eyed BAT on Bourdillion is her husband. angry

Christianity Etc › Re: Introduction To Witchcraft | 'Witchcraft For Dummies' by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 7:32pm On Nov 23, 2011
Can't believe i missed this - Truth is Witch-craft is an exploration of one's own innate abilities. the ceremonial aspects are just to indoctrinate and enslave one's consciousness into submission to elementals (you call them demons, angels, spirits etc). Man is a complex creature with vast potential for god-hood. IMHO our purpose is to become like our maker - (Same thing Lucifer wanted) except with the full conscious awareness of GOD in the order of existence. our physical bodies may limit our capabilities, Witch-craft and other Occultic practices expand our awareness beyond these physical boundaries - the danger being we are not adequately equipped to assimilate awareness of spiritual realms except we die and loose off the physical body. wink

@poster  - you want real practical solutions? Sponsor an assassination project of Nigeria's most corrupt  - you will need more than a bus load of assassins for this.

A Revolution is not just made-up of angry people with political and social awareness - It requires Funding (This part you hardly hear of and widely denied). There are always interest groups fueling the flames of a revolution. You don't just mass into the streets without these groups (good or bad). all they require is a catalyst and they will create the necessary conditions to make it a success. For a Revolution to occur in Nigeria you will either need massive foreign influence from the US (if their interests are threatened enough) and the Ideal political dilemma as we are experiencing presently, add economic hardships, insecurity and regional conflicts - you have just about the right ingredients for a revolution

Corrupt Nigerians are so wealthy all it takes is a minimum of 5 wealthy corrupt (bottom-ranked i.e) leaders to bring 150 million Nigerians to their knees in no time. check out MEND and BOKO Haram, you think they are just petty hoodlums with guns? they have sponsors.  wink

Fellow Nairalanders, I think we have a platform where we can discuss and stategize on ways to put the rulling elites on their toes at all time. The London rioters used tweeter to mobilized, even though it is for looting purpose. We have naira land. I believe we have enough "crazy" people on the thread to atleast do something to get the rulling class attention.

If the government eventually removes the subsidy which they are bent on doing anyway, people especially the working class should drive their cars to thirdmainland bridge, eko bridge, ikorodu road, mobolaji bank anthony way, lekki expressway and any major road and park their cars there! Imagine what it will be like having 1000 cars on both lanes of thierd mainland bridge for 1 month!

I expect nairalanders to come up with ideas like this instead of seeing this topic as a joke! We have all the tools to mobilize. I believe the rulling class will no longer be at ease if all major cities in Nigeria follow suit.

We can mobilize via Nairaland, facebook, tweeter even blackberry!!

Those in government needs to feel some pains too!!
This can only happen when people feel they are part of the country - Most Nigerians feel like tenants in their own country - so why should they giveafuck. they are not even empowered to act - like Fela said, dem no wan die - papa dey for house - mama dey for house.

Nigerians who have died in the course of sparking a revolution are gone with the Wind -TAI Solarin, Dele Giwa, Ken-Saro WIwa we all act as if they died for nothing

Nothing we say here will have an effect on corrupt politicians and the lax justice system we have in Nigeria - everyone knows that majority of the stinkin rich in Nigeria have questionable sources of income. the evidence is the impoverishing poverty visited on the masses and the continuing growth of corruption angry we need to start thinking of doing something drastic otherwise our children will curse our generation just as we are cursing the generation before us.
Politics › Re: Will Nigerians Take To The Street If Fuel Subsidy Is Removed? Revolution? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 9:56am On Nov 23, 2011
@poster - even the slightest injustice can spark a revolution in other countries - Nigerians do not have the conviction to defend their civil liberties because they never had them in the first place. from the first day of Independence till date Nigerians have been tossed back and forth by Political immaturity, Greed, Corruption, Religious conflicts, Insecurity and Economic buffoonery. The only fortunate thing in Nigeria is that few will rise above these challenges and find a way to live better lives outside the constitutionally documented provisions the Federal Government is meant to deliver - Steady Light, Water, Food, Health, Education, Housing, Security. the listed have been responsible for some of the most drastic revolutions till date. Nigerians simply smile through the suffering. come 2015 majority will still come out in the streets to vote "Their Man" for a Bag of Rice or N200 (for the next 4 years). We have only 1 future and that is separation. At least if Tinubu becomes president of the Oduduwa Nation - Yoruba's can kill him if he tries to steal without the Hausa's or Niger-Deltans giving a hoot.

Ohh I have one NTA Mobile Broadcasting VANS N8 Billion for refurbishment and N6 billion for brand new and guess which one Dora approved - Yep! N8 billion to refurbish 9 yr old Broadcasting Vans to broadcast High-Definition Digital Broadcast like Dstv HD Channels - Only problem is , Nigerian TV Broadcast stations only broadcast analogue signals for and over 99% of nigerians have TV sets that cannot receive HD Digital signals. but that is not a challenge to DORA Akinyuli. the Vans are refurbished for N8 billion, not used for the Sports Festival and parked back at NTA premises to rust away - AGAIN!! grin

CAIRO, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor is likely to start his country's next African Nations Cup qualifier against Cameroon on Wednesday, coach Stephen Keshi said on Tuesday.

Adebayor was involved in a public slanging match with his coach on Saturday night after refusing to start Togo's opening game of the tournament against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The two traded verbal blows at the post-match news conference and Keshi had to be restrained from attempting to confront Adebayor on the team's bus in view of reporters.

The Nigerian-born coach accused Adebayor of being a 'cry baby' after being initially dropped from the team against the Congolese and then refusing to play when Keshi changed his mind and later restored him to the starting line-up.

Adebayor made allegations that Keshi was victimising him because he had refused to allow Keshi to be his agent. Adebayor also said he was going to leave and return home to Lome.

But within 12 hours, the new Arsenal signing was training with the team and Keshi struck a conciliatory tone when he spoke to Reuters on Tuesday.

'It was not very professional but it has all calmed down now. I think he will start but I haven't formalised my team yet.'

Adebayor's action also drew criticism from his team mates, but he was greeted jovially when he joined them for breakfast on Tuesday.

He did not want to comment.

Togo lost 2-0 to the Democratic Republic of Congo in Cairo on Saturday and must avoid defeat against Cameroon in their next Group B match to have any chance of progressing to the quarter-finals.

'We know we have to win this one, we'll be ok. I'm still confident we'll make the quarter-finals,' Keshi added.

Only the strong survive - not the aging and the passionate. If our Super Eagles wish to halt this downward trend to abysmal levels of football such that when we hear country's like Botswana (is Botswana even a country  huh) . we won't start skipping heart beats and start calling A-list Super-Eagles from all over the world to beat Botswana in a friendly- they held us to a draw with a home-grown team  shocked What does that tell you about the level our football has reached in recent times  angry like saying Barca needs a complement of their in-form regulars to beat Malta National team - Haba!! have we sunk so low. Yakubu has seen better days and Yobo is just not the good ol' reliable Yobo (at least he scores own goals unlike Yakubu grin)

@ Yusuf akure, its not a coincidence that lagerwhenindoubt and saibuhari 'live' in the same domain in surulere, lagos. Saibuhari is using a decoy. I hope we dont release our weapons to our enemies in order to impress a nincompoop. CCNL's victory in court is most essential.
I think you should let the credibility of CommandClem win in the Court of Public Opinion since getting a judgement against Mobil has been in the coolers since 2009. The Passage of time has already made the CommandClem claims at court immaterial since everyone now has anti-corrosive paint even at the same period CommandClem (purportedly) verbally contracted the use of his invention to Mobil - I only wish to corroborate your the claims on your documents with those of the Appeal Court Library - Did you know that they have an electronic library - I have the documents from the Appeal Court. This is the reason I need the case file numbers so i can track down exactly which incident you are reporting to your Patentees. If your victory in court is essential then you know that a great deal of that victory lies with your ability to get solid facts.
