Politics › Re: As Acn Impose Cronies And Relatives, Can This Party Be Trusted Nationally? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 6:30pm On Dec 02, 2011
A beautiful piece - Let us not forget the fact that the practice of democracy 13 years after Military Rule and 50 years after the benefit and experience of Independence - Our People and her leaders know diddly-squat about DEMOCRACY. It is either ACN imposing incompetent candidates against the wishes of the voters or PDP bribing impoverished masses with cheap biscuits and rice in exchange for 4-yrs of guaranteed incompetence and corruption.

A Nation where educated Nigerians (especially on NL) swell the ranks of Political Pr0stitues who murder their own people by the use of willful ignorance, supporting Evil in the face of Good.

A Nation where a protest is seen as a dramatic means for the disgruntled to shout their throats hoarse and vent their spleen on the invisible opposition carrying nothing but their card-board placards and their frustrated hopes.

A Nation where the sustenance of governance is built on the waves of Injustice, Corruption, Poverty and gratuitous Violence - 50 years on.

A Nation that deliberately undermines her own efforts at reforming fundamental national institutions such Energy, Agriculture, Transportation, Health etc by appointing incompetent political office holders who embezzle funds year-in and year-out.

No wonder we are the 3rd largest Christian Nation in the World and the 5th Largest Muslim Nation - a bunch of 150+ million Nigerians who cannot lift a finger to wipe the sweat of their brow - waiting for divine intervention angry

Gradually  - The Revolution we are too lazy to get up and start will come to our doorsteps and beat us with machetes in our sleep  grin  grin  grin  I love when a plans comes out of nowhere.

FG cannot deal with the inadequate and poor intra-city transportation and insecurity the way they should after decades of ignoring the problem-  rather than knuckle-down and start fixing the economic and social environment like they are supposed to; they want to do away with the unsocial and uneconomic elements - The back-lash of crimes and will result can only be imagined.  grin  grin

From the looks of it. he had a heart attack, symptoms may have been showing up through his playing career but the medical team (if there is any) were too incompetent to take notice or do anything about it. sad

The guy complained of arm pain which is more commonly the left arm, but may be either arm. @posters, take note, get monitor your BP, eat good and do some exercise. RIP soccer-dude

Christianity Etc › Re: What Atheists Cant Handle! by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 3:20pm On Dec 01, 2011
folaski:
please let me make myself a little clearer, (1) all believers in almost all religions of the world have made several and sometimes definite claims about (2)life and its (3)purpose. if theists are so sure what are atheists saying or should one just accept the theists claim and close the case ? (4)i think a balanced view of both sides will help better or so i think .
@Folaski.
Our first encounter stopped short of sparking a fuse  wink my bad, may i make another attempt? before I do so allow us to agree on the Clarity of your position above. (tagged 1,2,3,4)
1: Every Spiritual exercise (Religion) make claims to have the "Answers" to the Meaning of Life and Man's Purpose in this World - Some proven from centuries of evolving experience (social, spiritual and philosophical) but most remain FAITH-proven i.e you have to be a devout believer in the religion to lay all your convictions behind your religion's claims to the themes you have presented on this thread i.e Life and Purpose
2/3: Life/Purpose: by this i want to assume that your are referring loosely to "Meaning of Life" i.e Why we exist and of what significance and our "Purpose" what is our ultimate goal in Life (or Death).
4: A Balanced-view from a Theistic and Atheistic position is hardly achievable (as evidenced by centuries of Rofo-Rofo fight between both groups),  more-so when no central; agreeable point of reference exists in the first place to allow for a balanced-view (when you look at a weighting scale, there is a center that determines what tilts to Up, Down or Level). here we have none - not that it does not exist, one group chooses to define the Meaning of Life around Divine beings thus the purpose of their lives (everyone's lives it seems) revolves round the injunctions of the gods and holy books from centuries ago. (needless to say) Unlike the Atheistic approach based on the evolving nature of society, knowledge and evidential and deductive reasoning, theistic positions (while similarly introspective) cannot detach from the position of ancient supernatural structures that do not change with Time,Knowledge or Experience. To quote loosely a phrase popular with Christians - "God is the same Today, Tomorrow and Forever".

Can we agree on the above?

@OP while you make it painfully obvious that you are spoiling for a fight, (What Atheists can't handle) you also sully your perceived wisdom in philosophical matters by asking the Age-old question that has only been conclusively answered by a group of Theists (Popularly known as Christians). here is my answer (non-atheist position though)

Question 1: Why are we here on earth
(A): The Earth is proven to be habitable and capable of sustaining a plethora of life-forms apart from humans, it is only natural that we have survived - try living on Planet Mercury wink Or,
(B): We are some Guru-biologist's experiment and his petri-dish is Earth. The first experiment went bad and had to be destroyed, i doubt he is having any success with this one from the look of things huh Or,
(C): There is no reason save the fact the we are only aware of our existence this part of this galaxy out of millions of similar galaxies capable of sustaining Earth-like Planets and possibly humanoid Life-forms. We could be part of one infinitesimally wide intelligent amoeba-like life-form and we are simply biological organisms

What is our purpose
(A): Somewhere in the inter-galactic Food-Chain we are somebody's biatch! (forgive my french) - our lofty goals for Spiritual perfection and ultimately, oneness with the Creator is manifested in the purity of our souls - (Food for the Gods) impure souls (Rotten Food) will be caste in Hell (naturally) Or,

The heart of the human problem is the problem of the human heart
We should focus more on the growth of the human spirit in the right order  - yes Evil has influence but the devil never forced anyone - it is like what Muslims say about loose western-style dressing being the cause of Rape5. No it is not, Lustful irresponsible and Evil Men are responsible

Guy - you flatter the Devil more than necessary - Man's continual evil was responsible for the flood not the Devil, It is still Man's unrelenting lust for evil that will do this world in - again. The Devil has thus far been out-outmaneuvered by Man in matters of Evil.

With all these facts on ground now I think all the doubting Thomas(es) and those who have nothing good to contribute to this forum than useless criticism should stop their unworthy habit or get themselves excused from this forum. It is impossible to confuse the real Patentees because we strongly know what we hold unto.

Regarding the recognition and  registration of COMANDCLEM by the World Intellectual Property Orgnisation (WIPO) I was so excited when I saw this yesterday on their (WIPO) site, this is indeed an outstanding  achievement for CCNL and Chief Clement Uwemedimo himself; I said bravo to Papa and congrats to all Patentees.
Once again I want to commend the effort of people who keep us posting ceaselessly here, 9ce job guys. Keep it up!!!
Victoria Acerta!!!
at least 90% of "facts" posted on this forum are explicit fabrications of Commandclem. I have not seen any signed/scanned legal documents just long, contradictory and confusing colorful rants and libelous claims. Court proceedings are public documents and like i mentioned before - they should be public knowledge for public consumption without any form of alteration as done here by CommandClem. Yes Clement filed an application (19 January 2010) with WIPO but has it been approved - that is one aspect you fail to tell your patentees, You also neglect to tell them what parts of the suit was dismissed and what part was considered. can yo please post the full proceedings.

@OP while the tools you use are important, the idea is ultimately what will bring in the big bucks - i had a career too, switched and become an entrepreneur- i grant you this - you need an idea that gives you a Competitive and Strategic Advantage. I often read on NL most budding programmers working on similar projects and expecting a windfall whenever they are done coding. nutting wrong there, but if everyone is selling apples and oranges (fruits) how do you make break-away monies from it.

I will advise you fit your perceptions into an image of an Entrepreneur who has Programming skills rather than a Programmer with Entrepreneurial skills. Any programmer can code, but only an exceptional entrepreneur can turn code into money. As Seun wink
