Little things bugs shallow minds. I wear slippers to the finest malls in yankee. They are interested in your pocket, not your slippers unless you have doo doo and flies all over you.

Olisa74:
What is wrong with wearing bathroom slippers to a mall, if that is what you feel comfortable in? No one in the West "baffs up" to go to a mall. You just dress in what feels comfortable as long as you are neat and tidy. silly naija mentality.
It is a Mall not a freaking jacuzzi, try doing that at the Center or Highcross - with real Nigerian/China-made rubber slippers that look like you just came out of the bathroom  grin

There is no alternative to SHOPrite Ajah.

Imagine my utter shock/horror when i visited SHOPLeft (in Surulere) - Dear God!!!  shocked  shocked  shocked it was filled with Alaba and Idumota traders and some mbgueke-feeling-funky igbo girls. I could not understand why people will insult SHOPRite by wearing bathroom slippers to a super-market like it was on their street. uncouth men literary shouting at the top of their voice on their GSM trying to locate their friends within the Mall.

For real:

Some Ibo dude:  Ehemm Nnamdi, I am inside the Shopping section, where are you coming from
Nnamdi: - -- - - -- -  - - - -
Ibo dude: Look up you will see Fruits signboard I am unda dere - ha ha ahah hoo hooo
They close shop at 10pm. as i was leaving i saw a small crowd gathering at the door trying to get in and one ankara and lace-wearing fat woman started pleading to get inside and buy 1 pack of chewing gums -WTF!@!

It is comical grin but the seriousness in this religious folly cannot be discounted, Christians and Muslims form perhaps the Largest Religious Groups in the world and also present the most dangerous threat to the balance of peace globally. Unfortunately Religion has begun to underlay the direction of Politics on which Global Leadership and Governance is built. Imagine a President who says God commands him to rule for another term undecided un-fcukingbelievable shocked

And here's what it looks like today, with a title of "Fatal Error ownz you !!!!!":

Fatal Error !
by Elemento_pcx & s4r4d0 ,
"Seja você mesmo mas não seja sempre o mesmo" , G. o Pensador ,

The message in Portuguese translates as

"Be yourself but not always the same" , G. The Thinker ,

Two email addresses are provided by the hackers if anyone needs any help (it's uncertain whether you would contact them for help regarding the website defacement, or to have the profundity of the quote explained to you).

Of course, it's perfectly possible that the email addresses listed belong to people who have no knowledge of the hack - but with the quote written in Portugeuse, it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see a Brazilian connection.

If you run a website make sure you are doing everything to keep it as secure as possible - for both your organisation's sake, and that of your users. If you haven't already done so, read this informative paper by SophosLabs, "Securing websites", which covers some of the issues.
I just visited www.nigeria.gov.ng and it is down - your thoughts

Is the Nigerian Government slack in hiring competent technology consultants to build and maintain a symbolic presence like our national website?

Business › Re: How Google Is Killing Nigerian Online Businesses by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 7:40pm On Dec 12, 2011
I think a lot of Nigeria's best IT brains operate in an environment in which they compete with themselves on a platform where the client does not demand global standards and strategic competitive advantage as Value indigenous IT companies must bring to the table - though you cannot ignore google (at your own risk) . IT Naijans have made it all the more easier - it is horror stories most places I go to when it comes to IT-service quality, innovation and business-driven development.

Education › Re: U Must Sleep With Me Or Else U Wont Graduate! by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 11:58am On Dec 12, 2011
It has happened several times back when i was on campus - A very sexy beautiful girl i had a crush on was told she would not graduate unless she slept with her lecturer. after much pleading - she picked a day and went into his office (we all knew he banged a couple of girls in the evenings and early mornings). she did it - thus graduated.
1: Lecturers are often chummy with lazy dolts called Cult-guys
2: Lecturers have a clique so report one and you risk getting the same treatment from other lecturers in his clique
3: If you succeed and get one Lecturer penalised for his unruly behaviour - you will have cult guys on you ar$e who won't give a damn of asking nicely.
4: Yes prayer can be the answer - you should have joined Scripture Union from day 1 on campus - they do not have such problems

As sad as it sounds, you can either capitulate and graduate or you can be brave and report the case to school authorities (with evidence like that girl on facebook did)

Get him and record everything - only problem is - you will have the school authorities on your back afterwards - denying everything and making you the villians and the lecturer the victim

It still amazes me that Man who has the single most-important ability to conceive (originate and process thoughts) God (within the limits of his own existence) deem it right to "presume" to know the unknowable. If we are truly in his Image, then it is only logical to conclude that we are merely link in the food-chain. huh God expects you to make yourself pure and nourishing for dinner, the impure and dumped for heavenly LAWMA to process at least that is how i see it. tongue

@saibuhari - unfortunately CommandClem Fraudsters are too desparate for money that will never get to them - I have it on good authority that Dr. Clement does not know Yusuf Nurudeen or that his Foundation is being used to defraud people. While most of my interview sessions are done by phone. I shall pay him a visit when he comes to Lagos this December. The only way people will know that they have been defrauded is when they see it in the news, unknown to Omokemesi and co. some evidence has already been collected on them and a bank account trail. they will soon be be apprehended and another Umana E. Umana grin grin grin grin

And for their Information - The Supreme Court Case number posted here does not exist as i have confirmed that there is no such case with the Supreme Court.

dmainboss:
This is the Lagos of the future and it will happen soon. Mark my words:

The Non-indegines will begin to feel the pinch and will begin to come together. Eventually, a leader will rise that they will all support and then the Yorubas will loose control of the state and will never gain that control backk because they are in minority. All the major places in Lagos are dominated by non-indegines. Surulere, Festac, Ikeja, Name it.

Dont forget you heard it here first!
That will never happen because the Ijaws have an opportunity to engage both lagosians and other non-indigenous ethnic groups in the development of their communities - (roads, health, education) since all ACN chairmen failed to perform the past 8 years - they would rather fight OPC. The Igbos in Surulere (Yahoo-Yahoo, Nollywood and Import-Exports business) have soo much money to upturn the politics of Lagos in their favor but what are they doing huh Trust every Ndigbo to fight against themselves when it is in their best interest not to. - The only pinch Lagos will feel is every Christmas and Easter when non-indigenous ethnic groups (who own most micro-businesses) go to their home-town. we are left with poorly cooked amala and all sorts of bush yoruba delicacies grin grin grin grin and area boys

Joagbaje:
The story of the so called lost world and it's flood happened before the time of  Noah, even before Adam was created . There was a pre adamite world which lucifer headed. It was destroyed at their rebellion by flood.
Not bad - there indeed was a world preceding the creation of man - most Christians do not understand 6-7 day creation in the literal sense huh
