^^^ You have to accept that Eko_ile is an unrepentant, unapologetic, fully-committed and devoted Tinubu-lover. There is no way in Hell you will get him to see Tinubu in any other light that the one he reveals to his teeming masses of impoverished, desperate and utterly rascally Oduduwa minions.

Like someone once said - getting an atheist to commit to a definite stance on how the earth appeared is like nailing jello to the wall. It seems the atheist position consists SOLELY of irrational, mindless and extreme opposition to the religious alternative.

Again i will ask for the 4076th time, what is the alternative explanation for how the world came about?
Do you realize you can nail jello to a wall  grin  grin  grin The Divine Mystery revealed - Atheists and Christians are really talking about the same thing

So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

The Toll was built for one reason - collect tolls - when the roads were being built and the road-users were blazing from Mobil to Epe - Smilign ear-ear - did you not know that someone was going to pay for it grin That is what tolls are meant for - Jeez. If you look at this crowd protesting - you will hardly find those living under $1 dollar (as goes the common assumption of Nigerians) in the protesting crowd - we have got salaried people who can afford these tolls shocked
Politics › Re: PDP Condemns Aregbesola For Releasing Odunayo Olagbaju's Killers by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 2:48pm On Dec 16, 2011
Sadly the middle-class (evidently from the several affordable postings on Nairaland) are the ones leading the country down the path of repugnant poverty and . @Beaf and co (other dissenting opposition ACN, CPC, APGA shitshitshit) you clearly show your fervent and fiercely loyal affiliations to symbols of decadent corruption who have wallowed in unhallowed disservice to humanity, openly parade blatant and decidedly evil/cruel will and purpose for self-interests rather than nationhood. Hypocrites whose only joy is the sustenance of this Evil Government and the seemingly ever-lasting injustice to the dis-franchised masses - may your graves be 1ft closer to the sun  tongue

I have always wondered how many insufferable Nigerians proceeded to vote for GEJ and not PDP - if there was ever an oxymoron in a contradiction - this is it.

He has never been a performer and in a Nation replete with incompetent, stagnant and utterly corrupt leadership from Political to Religious- it is no wonder we are the way we are.

Folks, why are you castigating Beaf?  He is entitled to his opinion and he or is it she has voiced out irrespective of whose ox is gored.  I do not blame Nigerians.  They have been taken for a ride severally by successive governments over this oil subsidy removal.  We have been deceived for so long.  We have suffered for such a long time,  so much so that when we see white we call it black.  Subsidy removal or not, we will still survive.  Let us keep our fingers crossed and see events as they unfold.  Goodluck.!!
Same attitude you will find in 99.99% of Nigerians worldwide - docile, stagnant, impoverished and still hopeful - sad situation
Business › Re: Fuel Subsidy: What Happens To The Subsidy Savings? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 10:30am On Dec 15, 2011
All well and good, it is not uncommon - remember the fuel-price regularization and free-market prices in the early 2000s. what was the pitch FG sold us then, i could still remember the jingles grin we are doing this so that we can build our refineries, strengthen local production capacity, build schools and hospitals, allow forces of demand and supply determine prices - some how this was suppose to mean that prices will fall drastically - Well blow me! there are no refineries, local capacity has been stagnant since then, education levels are appalling, international/local funding of health has dropped and remained at similar levels in each year's budget, health, well you guys know the story of how Nigeria risks loosing funding due to the colossal fraud going on with medicare dollars that our people just vanish into thin FRESH AIR.

A beautiful story no doubt, but I am cynically certain that 10 yrs from now, we will look back and say, Hey WTF happened to the Safety nets, the subsidy monies grin grin *&@#^% citizens

Webmasters › Re: Nigerian Government Website Defaced By Brazilian Hackers by lagerwhenindoubt(op): 4:50pm On Dec 14, 2011
I think it also speaks a lot about the Nigerian Community of IT practitioners (home and abroad). unfortunately we work in silos (individuals and corporations) - while brilliant on our own - together we have not formed a visible presence like India, Europe, Asia and the US. It shows in the way majority of Nigerian firms prefer outsourced foreign providers - Our Technology Agencies and Institutions get a budget yearly and dollar funding from other nations and we still crawl to form a cohesive, united, world-class IT Community. I sometimes wonder whether Ministry of Technology has long-term sustainable plans for this sector - it is already going the way of the Kano Groundnut Pyramids sad

Afterall, is this not the country that cannot refine its own crude but can launch Satellites i.e Nigsatcom 1,2 & very soon 3?
A country that cannot generate enough electricity for each nationals to light a 20 Watts bulb each?

Prof BARTH NNAJI that I know (I know very well, professionally)
, an erudite scholar
, a warm nice approachable guy
, but clueless about power sector set-up
, a cheap big talking illusionist
, a profiteer, a roundtripper, a kickback collector, tax collector/ extortionist bully a la nigerian IG of police. hence a big contributor to the mess e.g taking percentage from money released to phcn for projects
, a potential gainer from selling the NEPA to the cabal @ undervalued price

After revealing all this, do I still joined the rest of >90% of Nigerians ('somnabulists') in ''dreaming & hoping'' or is it ''suffering & smiling''?
NO!!!![/quote]Now that's a realist if i say so myself wink
