The reason I think is simple. Those are about the best and the most dynamic sets of graduates that can survive in their own.some as a result of their level of IQ while others are those that were struggling with both academics and means of livelihood while in school. So they have thick skin and can withstand any pressure at work. |

Sweetguy25: Corruption is not Nigeria's problem. Besides, this Sagay of a man is a shameless and ignorant liar. Buhari is the architect of his misfortunes. That the economy is in shambles today is purely Buhari's fault. It took the dullard six months to appoint ministers. SiX good months. The economy would have been better if the dullard had hit the ground running. That is 1. If he had appointed ministers three weeks after he was sworn in. 2. If he had discarded Jonathans budget and came up with his own budget 3. If he wasn't travelling like a lose bird.
The dullard had some goodwill when he was elected - the stock market rallied, there was electricty, the was fuel and his supporters were happpy. People (not me) were expecting change but the dullard blew it away and dashed their hopes. That Buhari's regime has failed and will fail is his fault.
I hate when Nigerians call another country a "failed country". You have no right to call another country failed because is Nigeria is also one - a failed country. Sagay is so so wrong. So if Jonathan had won you guys would have declared yourself and cause mayhem. I lost total respect for the sagays cos this man has failed you guys.the voice of the people is the wish of the people. |

Car Talk › Re: The Major cause Of The Incessant Tyre Burst Accidents On Nigerian Roads by lagosrd: 6:54am On May 05, 2016 |
DeRay98: IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL VEHICLE USERS!
Good morning everyone. Many people have been wondering what could be the cause of the incessant tyre burst accidents on Nigerian roads. The major cause is that we put to much pressure in our tyres. How did I know?
I was preparing for a journey, I changed some of my tyres and I asked the vulcanizer that ' what is the recommended tyre pressure? ' He said 50. I said alright, he should inflate it to 50 all round.
When I got to where I was going, I was discussing with some ppl on the issue of the minister that died on the road due to a burst tyre and wonder what could have happened because nobody could imagine a minister would be travelling with expired tyres as many would think is the major cause of tyre burst.
A man ( lived in US for many years ) said that the major cause of tyre burst in Nigeria is that we put to much pressure in our tyres and that each car has recommended tyre size and pressure clearly written on it by the manufacturer. I was surprised and begged him to come and show me where it's written on my car. To my greatest surprise, it's by the drivers door which I enter everyday without noticing it. By the time we checked, the recommended pressure for my tyres is 32! and I just traveled with tyres on a pressure of 50! He took me round his compound and showed me that of the cars (which includes a jeep and a sienna) there, the highest was 32. some were even 29!
He further explained that tyres are made of rubber and expands at high temperature. So, when yu are travelling in the afternoon when the asphalt on the road is hot, the tyre will want to expand. If the pressure in the tyre is to much and wouldn't accommodate the expansion, a burst is likely to happen at that time.
Pls check the recommended tyre pressure for your vehicle and others you know.
As many as possible Nigerians needs to read this. thanks
Kindly share this message. adopted May God bless you and ur struggle. May you move your ministry to your permanent site this year ijn. Amen "in mama kainkain voice" lol. How I wish the whole road safety and V.I.O corps are just disbanded. They know close to nothing and they are parts of the many problems of this country. Stay on the road to create fear in peoples mind and constitutes public nuisance. The funniest of all is that they now take over traffic control job.look for expired drivers license and vehicle papers Hahahah and collect bribe with impunity. I think treads like this should be opened to teach them what they don't know... Yeye pple

Politics › Re: Amaechi Leaked Obasanjo's Letter To Jonathan - Sanusi by lagosrd: 8:53pm On May 04, 2016 |
stephanie11: In an explosive interview with Forbes, former CBN governor and current Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has revealed that former governor of Rivers state and current Minister for transport, Rotimi Amaechi was responsible for leaking Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo's letter to Jonathan over a missing sum of $20 billion to the media.
Sanusi had written to Jonathan to raise the alarm over billions of dollars from oil sale not remitted to the federation account.Obasanjo then followed suit with his own letter titled “before it is too late”, and the letter was published in full by online newspaper, Premium Times.
Sanusi said that in 2012 and 2013, government revenue collapsed by $10 billion, without a collapse in oil prices or production capacity, adding that the CBN found a $49 billion revenue gap.
Sanusi said he then wrote Jonathan, saying:
“If this continues, we are going to have a big problem if the price of oil came down. We can’t protect interest rates, we can’t protect exchange rates, we can’t protect reserves. We may have to tighten money to prevent inflation, there will be unemployment, government will suffer – all of the things we are seeing today.”
Sanusi further stated that Jonathan did not do anything until Obasanjo's letter went public. he says
“This was in August 2013, the president received the letter and did nothing. A few weeks after that, the finance minister called to say, governor, can we do some reconciliation on oil revenue numbers? I said minister, I report to the president.I have written to the president, if the president wants me to sit with you and do reconciliation, the president will tell me.
After Obasanjo’s letter, all hell now broke loose. The letter was then leaked to online media, and it became public. That was when the president got angry and we then had to sit and do reconciliation."
Sanusi says he was then summoned by the president;
“In the middle of all these, the president called me and said I should see him at 3pm. I turned up at 3pm and the entire place had been swept. There was no one apart from security services. I got to his office, it was just me and him. It was as if everybody had been asked to go.And so he says to me, he’s calling me because he is surprised that letter I wrote to him got to Obasanjo, I said I’m surprised too.
He said he’s convinced that the letter went from the central bank to Obasanjo, and I had 24 hours to find who leaked the letter or sack somebody; the director who prepared the letter or my secretary and if I did not sack them, that was proof that I leaked the letter and therefore, I should resign.
“I said to him that I’m surprised that I’m being asked to resign for raising an alarm over missing funds and the minister in charge of the portfolio is not being asked to resign. From then I knew I had signed my equivalent for death warrant. But I said I was not resigning. He got very angry and said whether you like it or not, you’re going to leave that office, I cannot continue to work with you, either you or I will leave government."
Afraid for his life, Sanusi said he did the following;
“I was amused that leaking the letter is far more crime than leaking money. I went straight to the office of the principal secretary to the president, and I met him with a gentleman from Kano, who was foreign minister Ambassador Aminu Ali.I said to them, gentlemen, I’m coming to you because I just had a meeting with the president, and there were no witnesses, and the president had threatened me.
I repeated what happened and told them I am going to tell people close to me, if anything happens to me, it is the president.I don’t think I was really in fear of my life. Even if you don’t like someone – Jonathan was not the kind of person that would have someone killed. He wasn’t that kind of leader.”
http://dumebiifeanyi.com/amaechi-leaked-obasanjos-missing-20-billion-letter-jonathan/ And what result did that produced. The other knew he would have been in jail by now while the latter hid himself behind royalty he never deserved. All the parties involved in this case has skeleton in their cupboard. Obj..... rolchi: Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, says dressing masquerades could create a thousand jobs per week for Nigerian men.
Speaking at the sectoral debate of the federal house of representative in Abuja on Tuesday, Mohammed said most states in Nigeria have one festival or the other.
“Most states today have more than one festival a year, but the packaging and lack of capacity has not enabled them to make the most out of these festivals,” he said.
“There’s a particular masquerade in the south east, it takes 100 people to dress him, another 100 people to UnCloth him.
“If this masquerade is well-packaged, it can provide employment in one week for more than 1000 young men. These are some of the untapped potentials.”
Mohammed explained that Nigeria has the oldest forest in the world in terms of biodiversity for tourists to visit, but tourists are discouraged by bribing and insecurity in the country.
“I worked in the airport for 10 years, and I know that if you want your passport stamped as a foreigner, you slip $100 into your passport. No tourist would come back to a country where he has to bribe immigration to enter.
“No tourist would come to a country where, when he leaves immigration, he enters a ‘one-chance’ taxi or ‘one-chance’ bus. It’s a holistic problem and these are all contained in the national tourism master plan, which I would make available to the house.
“We must make a difference between tourist sites and tourist attractions; what we have in Nigeria are tourist sites. They are not tourist attractions.
“You need infrastructure to convert a tourist site to a tourist attraction. If you don’t have infrastructure, it would always remain a tourist site,
“In Cross Rivers reserve park, Nigeria has the oldest forest in the whole world. It is the oldest in terms of biodiversity, and we have this very rare, white-mane gorilla in that area, but because my people in Cross River have decided to turn them to bush meat, they have now escaped.”
