It's a bad deal through and through. I'm done with buying beat up cars and refurbishing myself. If the gear or engine is bad, the owner should fix it first. Failure to do so means he's masking the nightmares the lemon has been giving him/her.

When you can't test run a car, you are blinded to many other issues you would otherwise have known. I bought a car once ago with a bad gear. Replaced the gear at Point if sale and before I drive home the engine had overheated and knocked due to a bad oil pump.

All I can say Is the hilux is better reliable wise.
Ranger exhaust don blow already and I dey hear noise from front left leg,
Engine was also trying to stall for reasons I don't know,sounded like a plug or fuel pump problem.
I will dedicate this route to the hilux and let the ranger do lighter jobs henceforth.
But that ranger can run sha,I hit 180kph today on my way back.

I travelled minna to Abuja on Monday and traffic was so heavy, coupled with reckless drivers in a rush to get home for Sallah it was a cocktail of danger in the making. I decided I will avoid travel for the next 2 days.

Travelled Abuja to Minna yesterday around 7:30am. Heavy fog with visibility less than 100m coupled with heavy rainfall and then saw this accident.

Coincidentally the golf driver was from Paiko where I later made a detour. He has 3 wives with 8 children and died on the spot from his own actions of overspeeding under poor weather conditions.
