An alligator big enough to attempt to consume a 10kg dog could easily use your limbs for lunch. The question is, can you try it?
If I'm desperate enough, yes smiley

Funny thing, you can see the driver taking corners at like 100km/h in one of the best-handling cars in the world.

Meanwhile our resident Nairaland clowns will tell us that they take corners at 140km/h in their 2003 C Class. grin
I saw him taking on curves at over 200km/h but at some bends he dialled down to below hundred... Either ways I give thumbs up to the engineers. They are so crazy these days they have front wheel hot hatches doing drifts and power slides.

What is left is the cash to buy these rides because they come really expensive these days. 70,000 quid and going up. shocked

Too bad but it's up to every buyer to do due diligence before ourchase.. Only when something goes off about a deal can you tag a seller a scammer. We abuse that privilege a lot on nairaland.

Has anyone got to inspect and didn't see the cars there? This is uncalled for.

Same thing on the pet page, a lady want stop give a dog for adoption free and just because she stated some T&C's some bully came around tagging her a scammer.

Let's not be the man who cried wolf
Career › Re: Certification In Marketing by laivwire(m): 12:15pm On Nov 14, 2020
AjanleKoko:

First you need to get a real marketing job, I think.
What you're doing now is more of sales or account/relationship management. A Marketing job can be anything from product management/marketing, to media and brand communication, corporate communications, events, as well as market planning (which is a bit on the scientific side: market research, market segmentation and modelling).

The FMCGs are the original 'marketers' in the real sense of it, in Nigeria. For oil and gas, maybe downstream, but these days I see very little marketing and a lot of sales (banking approach) from the downstream O&G companies.

Certifications? I think maybe the British CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) would be good for you, if you have the discipline to see it through. It will take around 3 years to qualify on average.
Are you in the marketing industry? Got a few questions to ask
Family › Re: My Face-to-face Encounter With 'poverty' And His Four Children (photos) by laivwire(m): 9:34pm On Nov 11, 2020
You all forget that sex is one of man's basic needs behind food, clothes, shelter and the likes.

Now a cripple woman is pregnant, you want abortion when they can't even afford a condom.

Now, I'm not saying breeding children in poverty is a good thing but you can't blame them nonetheless. I just hope these ones get help in form of financial empowerment perhaps through learning a skill.

Even blind people hustle.

on another note, some people migrate to Ph to earn better living. It's not always about starting from ground zero and doing grunt work. Have you tired putting your skills into practice and develop them in the process? A lot of folks are still finding it hard in the west and east. Unemployment is above 55% and rising

When you see profile names ending with a bunch of numbers, beware! These guys open new profile s sporadically and can't think of new names and just keep adding numbers.
They are so many on this forum. Sheesh. undecided

By the way, why will you bring a Siberian husky to the harsh climate of the tropics. It's like growing water melon in January dry season. It's unfair

If the Nigerian government can't rescue its own soldiers or innocent NGO workers helping indigents in these places, what do you expect it to do about a cleric from Jos. I'm almost crying as I read this. He should just make his ways right with God and prepare to see Jesus.

Even if a ransom is paid, they'll kill him for spite
Autos › Re: Mercedes Benz W115.. Classic Be Nz by laivwire(m): 10:59pm On Oct 27, 2020
Beautiful classic but restoration projects of this nature will break your bank in Nigeria abeg. You'll have to import 80% of the parts and workmanship is another factor. Besides this car is so damn heavy and is powered by a measly carburettor engine. Drives like a boat.

Still a true classic anytime though. I don't mean to spoil your thread. Wish you swift sales.
Car Talk › Re: The Work In Progress Automobile I Saw Today by laivwire(m): 10:41pm On Oct 27, 2020
I wonder why our talented engineers go this route. huh

Why will you start from scratch when the world has done 80% of the job for you especially ina corner of the world where manufacturing is a nightmare. You're supposed to improve on current tech. Even the fastest car now Tuatara was designed and built by a team of 25 who like Koenisegg outsource a lot of their parts to give something spectacular.

Here, an engineer is still welding iron bars together for a chassis when he can get a cheap golf or toyota and work his magic on it.
