ahonohai: You could try the Maldives...visa free I believe via Doha or Abu Dhabi

Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt is another good place to go to on a vacation. It's along the red sea. A package holiday there shouldn't be out of this budget range.

I don't know too much about Zanzibar
or other Indian Ocean destinations but it's something to explore.

On the other hand you can look to go to Paris and Venice. The Schengen visa covers both countries and both cities are great for the romantics.

wink

Cheers
You gotta be kidding me. Did you read his post at all? Maldives, Paris and Venice, with his budget?

Maldives is crazily expensive, same with Bora Bora, Fiji, Tahiti etc. He'll be looking at about $7,000-$10,000 for airfare, hotel and food for 2 persons for 7 nights!!! Lol

I know this because I've been looking at Maldives for my future vacation.

Paris can be cheap if you know your way around and stay in small boutique hotels. But airfare from Naija, food and tours will still cost him a lot more.
Venice is out of the question for him. Nice city but costs an arm and a leg!

@OP
Zanzibar can be done on your budget. You don't need a visa before entering, but you'll pay for it at the airport.
Dubai, Botswana, Egypt, Dakar, Turkey, Berlin, Prague, Budapest etc can be done on your budget with proper planning.
I'm a travel enthusiast. Let me know if you need more help.

Congrats on your wedding!

ronkebp: On shoes alonehuh?? if the husband does not see anything wrong he wouldn't have conmplained about it.
Why is he complaining, is it his money?

I'm totally against spending money we don't have. But if we have enough, have key investments and feel like splurging the rest of the money, there's nothing wrong with that.

What would you say about people who go on $10,000 luxury vacations and wear $50,000 diamond rings? These are average people ooo, I'm not talking about celebs. I don't see anything wrong with it if they can afford it.

We get to live once!!!

All these people screaming wasteful spending should give the OP's wife a break!!!

450,000 Naira is roughly $3000, why is this too much to spend if one has the money huh

She has money, and she's spending it on what gives her joy, I don't see anything wrong with this undecided

igwemoagbo: My friends. Thanks so much for ur advice and sincere concern, have bnn advised my older ones to let her go,that she is no good. Cos for 30times it happened and I still kept my cool until yesterday it means she can't change.and definitely it ll continue like that, well am still not looking good for I have not been my self all day. Still sobbing here.belive me sincerely I don't want to let go. But like a poster said, I have to brace up for more. But I ll jst pray for Gods intervention and will to come pass, cos if she is the rite one for me, let his will be done, if not God show me a pleasant exit path, cos I cnt face anoda heart ache...
You are sobbing because of a grilfriend huh

Abeg make I laff you small cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Your girl is obviously still hurt, give her some time and stop bombarding her with calls and texts. Apologize for what you did which was very wrong, but don't you ever beg anybody to stay with you.

Your self esteem is very low right now, work on yourself and be in control of your emotions. When you two get back together, try and address the issues that led to this incident so it wont occur again.

I love the way you are praying for God's intervention, prayers work wonders. Keep it up. Don't worry yourself to depression, she'll come back to you if you are meant to be together.
RomanceRe: Should My Girl Assist Me Financially Or I Hustle On My Own by LaParisienne(f): 4:26pm On Jun 07, 2012
@OP
Your girl is a nice girl. You should take the money, only as a loan. Pay her back as soon as you can. . .

This way, your ego wont be hurt and you'll still get to be ''the man'' in your relationship.

Just my 2 quid wink

RomanceRe: A Man Has Cheated Before In A Past Relationship, Is It A Relationship Stopper? by LaParisienne(f): 7:26pm On Jun 01, 2012
Sagamite: Just never been interested or made interested. Some were because he wanted fun, some were because he was being picky. A mix and mash.

The girls he has met have never been worth committing to and as he does not cheat he ends it when he feels it is time and then moves on.

Compare him with OP 1st on their own for choice you will make.

Then compare him with OP 2nd on their own for choice you will make.

Which one would you go for in both cases?
Well, sounds like the guy you described is a sincere person. That for me is a good point.

I'll choose him over the other guys who have a history of cheating.

But before I agree to date hiim, I'll definitely have series of frank discussions with him. I'll need to be certain that he truly wants to be with me and that he is ready for commitment.

Who knows, with hard work and commitment, there could be a fairy tale ending. Lol
RomanceRe: A Man Has Cheated Before In A Past Relationship, Is It A Relationship Stopper? by LaParisienne(f): 6:07pm On Jun 01, 2012
Sagamite: So between a guy like the above and a guy that has never had a serious or long-term relationship (at, lets say, 28 years old plus), which would you choose?
I'll choose none. But if the human male is becoming extinct and they are the last men on earth, I'll choose OP's first case scenario. That is, the guy who only cheated once over 5 years ago.

Btw, the second guy you described, what's his story? Does he have a phobia for commitment or he has never met the right person to have a serious relationship with?

I could answer better if I know his story.
