You have become unbelievably dense recently.
I don't think you understand what that last statement means because evidence before you shows that most of my positions here are as unpopular and untrendy as can ever be. An atheist in a strongly religious dominated space. A liberal pro-gay advocate in an intensely homophobic group. To top it off, supporting a tiny political party against the establishment long before anyone else here joined that support.

I really don't think you understand what it means for something to be "trendy" because my positions here have been anything but trendy.

And lastly, saying I don't know why you keep repeating this "my son" issue. It's a theoretical question dealing with soo many unseen variables. I have told you that I know what is the right thing to do, standing with your son over all odds. But one cannot tell the nature of the odds whether it's even a life or death situation, so me telling you a yes or no is me grandstanding at best which is ironically what you are actually accusing me right now of doing.

Please put more efforts into your thought processing. It would elevate the quality of the discuss here.
Shut up your running tap you call mouth.

The question they asked you was simple, there wasn't many variables involved. What would you do if your son came out to you as gay then you begin your long list of shalaye and then end up saying "I don't know"

Reality they say is often disappointing but yours seems to be hypocritical as well.

Jump up and down defending gay rights but when it comes to your own son, you don't know what you will do, you start looking for variables, combinations and what not.

HYPOCRITE.

I think you've indeed stated facts. It's true that we are progressing albeit very slowly in our values but nonetheless it's frustrating personally knowing and seeing how slow that progress is. And worst of all, knowing that you are personally ahead of the curve so are doomed to be persecuted for holding a position which seems broadly despicable but inevitable in the future.
You are not ahead of the curve kankan

You that don't know what to do if your son comes to you as gay whether or accept him or not, yet you are here running your mouth.

You are just a confused hypocrite who will say anything as long as you think its trendy.

I doubt it. Who will lead the coup? The junior officers?

You've to be in charge of most of the officers to effectively carry out a coup. Alot has changed in our military architecture and set up.

Look at the current composition of the military and the military formation in Abuja and its leading officers and see how impossible it will be to carry out a coup.

I'm calling okupe a coward because only a coward and a selfish father would cut off his own son simply because of what "people would say". Any father who would not support his son because the son is gay is a coward.

But that post also highlights me saying that I don't know if I would also be a coward in that situation too.

Let me use a clearer example. You and your mother are in public and a stronger looking guy confronts you and mother for something, along the line he not only insults her but also lays his finger on her and starts beating her, they are choices you as a person can make there, you can stand and fight him back no matter what, even if you know he's much stronger than you or that maybe he could use a deadly weapon on you or you could run away in order not to be his victim too.
Both responses are logical but one is an absolute choice of cowardice.

Hope that simplifies it for you.
Them suppose tie you for market and flog you repeatedly for your hypocrisy.

You were asked the same question and you said you dont know what you are going to do then turn around to call Doyin Okupe a coward for dealing with the situation in his own way.

Why not take the stand you want Doyin Okupe to take instead of saying you don't know?

That you don't even see the hypocrisy in your post dey gimme headache. angry

Bloody hell! Was the law suit for equal revenue sharing in 2023 or 2019? A case was in 2019 you are saying they used figures from those time period maybe they should have time jumped to 2023 lol. What made the USMNT not to qualify for the world cup? The men national team failed to qualify for the world cup thanks to their own faults which made the women team generate more revenue than them for over a 3 year period as reported by Wall street journal.
And your brain should tell you that we are now in 2023 and not in 2019. Is that hard for you to understand?

It seems you are still stuck in 2019 in your head.

It's not a simple and straight question because I had to let you understand exactly what you were asking me, with its nuances.

I have told you that it isn't against my personal principle, if I find myself in Europe, I'm sure this wouldn't even be an issue at all, but if I'm in nigeria I recognise how big an issue this would be (because of my ignorant society).

Okupe is indeed a good example, his son who is gay now lives abroad and his father is doing his thing here. His father has chosen to distance himself from his son. That is cowardice (but understandable).
Would I do the same, I simply don't know.
At the bolded, if you simply dont know what you wi do in that situation, why then are you calling Doyin Okupe who is dealing with the situation a coward?

Dont you see how confused you yourself are?

You have just wasted your time doing meaningless addition and subtraction when you don't have any access to their financial account and audit. Like I told you before using the last fiscal statement obtained by wall street journal, In 2016, women's games generated $1.9 million more in revenue than men's games. From 2016 to 2018, women's games generated approximately $50.8 million in revenue, compared with $49.9 million for men's games.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-womens-soccer-games-out-earned-mens-games-11560765600
Lmao.

We are in 2023, not 2019. It's not my fault that you cannot do simple addition and subtraction.

They used the period where the USWNT won 2 world cup while the USMNT failed to qualify for the world cup in 2018. Of course the women team were going to make money because they played more during that period.

This is a CNN article as at Nov 2022 during the Qatar 2022.

The USWNT brings in similar revenue maybe even more than the men using the last fiscal report. They even hold the record of most Jersey's sold by Nike in a season.
I dont know where you saw the fiscal report but as at last year Nov, the USMNT made $8m from getting to the round of sixteen in Qatar world cup which is higher than what USWNT makes while winning the 2015 and 2019 Women world cup combined.

Meaning if you combine the earning that the USWNT makes in 2015 and 2019 women world cup ($2m in 2015 and $4m in 2019, it must be noted that they won the trophy in both year), it's less than what the USMNT made in Qatar 2022 $8m.

If you go back and include 2015 for the men (USMNT), the men made $10m from the Fifa world cup in 2014 and failed to qualify in 2018.

So from 2015 to 2022, the men team has generated $18m while the women team that won the trophy twice in 2015 and 2019 has only made $6m. The only reason they were shouting then was because the men team didnt qualify for the world cup in 2018, if not what the men has generated would've blown away whatever the women team made.

Given the fact that the women team didnt even get to the semi final in this year world cup, I doubt they will be able to make $1m. Which means from 2015 to 2023, the women team has just been able to generate less than $8m from world tournament in 8yrs while the men team generated that $8m in just one year.

Equal pay my ass.

NB: The only year the USWNT sold more Jersey more than the men team was in 2019.

The issue of equal pay in women's football is relegated to only a single country. The US, one where the circumstances are also unique whereby the female team is actually stronger, successful and more popular than the male team hence them winning their case.

I don't think any other female sports team is asking for equal pay.
Yet the Male team brings in more money than the female team.

Is the basis of equality not about the one making the money taking the largest chunk?

Exactly. They should run it alone and probably have a female governing body.

That way they can generate their own money if they are efficient enough and stop asking for equal pay in every sports that has men earning higher. You gotto earn what you worked for.

This is the first time I’m watching the video of the kiss incident between the Spanish FA president and the female player .

The truth is; the still picture of the incident and the video tell two completely different stories .

The picture makes it appear as if the man went out of line and acted in such manner that is totally condemnable .

But the video is showing a man got carried away by the whole Euphoria of witnessing his national team win the World Cup for the first time .

In my opinion, I think the man has offended so many people and they just waited for one slip from him and now he’s facing the music .
Are you sure no be the edited video be this? shocked

Make men just hands off this female football totally. Let female run their things alone including award presentations.
