Exactly, nothing like minimum wage.
Minimum wage was paid but with higher tax, so they collected their money back.

yes but minimum wage as promised was not paid.

It was implemented but with higher tax. So they gave with one hand and collected with both hands again. It favoured the junior staff thou.

Arrears should be paid soon.

Pcstradamus:
I decided to see my father in-law to declare my intention. I wanted to go with my friend or a family member but considering the fact that there were no chairs in their sitting room, i opted to go alone. You may ask me why. My wife had told me that the father was not too comfortable to receive visitors because of how his sitting room was looking like. I was to attend a colleagues wedding that same day, so i was neatly dressed and then i had a bag with me. When i got to their house, my wife came to welcome me, she then went inside to inform her dad. I waited for some minutes and then the dad came out. I stood up to greet him and he looked at me for some seconds and he said fine boy. I felt i had won his heart but no, there was more to come.
He asked his son to get me something to drink. Before the drink came, i brought out a wine from my bag and walked up to him and offered him the wine. He took it from me and kept it on the table.
I began my speech by telling him how and where i met the daughter and what i feel for her. I told him straight up that i wanted to settle down with the daughter. He asked me how old i was, i told him i was 32 yrs old and he said you look very young. He started interrogating me by asking where i work, the nature of my job, my parents etc. When i was done, he was just starring at me, shaking his legs. he will make some sound like hmmm, huh etc. Men and brethren, we stayed like that for more than 10 mins without talking to ourselves. I felt the ground should open and swallow me. At intervals my wife would come out to talk to the dad and then she will go inside. She was doing that to observe what was going on. Finally, my father in-law said to me ''son you are welcome".
Do you know that even after he welcomed me, he still had reservations. He said he didn't believe he was going to give out his daughter to an igbo guy. That will be story for another day.

Are you guys married now ?

Met them last year. Arranged with babe to get some fruits, kept in my house and carried it along on the said day. I was nervous because I've never done this before so had to go with a friend who's skilled in that aspect and also free with me and babe. Got there around 10am on Saturday, we were welcomed by her family and babe introduced us to her parents. Mum and Dad liked me instantly, very easy man, we spoke about politics, education, public service, business ideas and more. Thank God I went with a friend who's very vocal and versatile, we discussed more like youths and he never asked us any question.
Before arrival her dad gave her money to get us chicken and asked what we'd like to eat and after awhile, we were led to the dinning.
I pray I have a loving family like theirs where children are so free with their parents, I felt like spending more time with them but had to leave early because I hate driving at night.
Another funny encounter was immediately after the meal, babe was at the dining with us and told me to discuss with mum personally, you need to see how scared I was, was asking her what I'd talk about, how would I say this and that, my friend laughed at me ehn.... But the visit was cool. I loved her the more after that meeting because I saw a template of my projected family in theirs. I'm getting married this year sha, tired of bachelorhood.

Agriculture / Re: Dont Be Fooled, Here Is A Practical Cost Analysis Of Raising 100 Layer Birds by larrypourl(m): 7:14pm On Feb 24, 2020
jhameel3:
this business plan had far away skip so many things, if 100 layers are not giving you 1k+ in a day , you are mess. am into poultry consulting service in a big farms, they are making millions on daily basis . the feed is cheap compare to that of broilers especially if you are producing it by yourself. it wouldn't cost you 1300 per day for 100 bird

Thank you bro. The production is even not good. I managed 500 birds for for almost 2 years and within the first 12 months of production I got nothing less than 85% Production, it fluctuate within 85-91%, I got 15 creates in a day at times but got nothing less than 14 creates for the first 11 months. Please review your analysis again. So you mean I'll be making 240 × 5 = 1200 daily on 500 birds, that's very terrible.

Mind you I used finished feed all through. Top Feeds to be precise.

Travel / Re: With N20M, Should I Travel To USA Or Stay In Nigeria? by larrypourl(m): 7:49pm On Feb 22, 2020
My little advice for you is this. Go to an area where an higher institution is situated. Universities or Polytechnics. Buy One and half plots each at two different locations and build hostel on them. One property should accommodate at least 20 rooms of A room self-contained. I meant each room with bathroom/toilet and kitchen and beautify the place and see how students would rush it.
20 rooms on 1 and half plot on one and another 20 rooms on another 1 and half plot. Totalling 40 rooms.

40 rooms × at least 50k per room = 2m Yearly. Some hostels sef goes as high as 120k annually here, depends on the finishing.

You'll even have enough left after completing the projects, and mind you, the investment is for life because accommodation keeps increasing daily.

Finally Go back to here and before you finish you'd have saved from the hostel rents paid to start up other business.

Very correct. Especially a young comfortable guy with a secured good job and you came over with your car. They won't bore you with questions honestly but you still have to prove your worth in your conversations. Exposed and literate family will discuss, world politics, academics, life generally with you and her father will pick things up from your conversation. One needs to be careful so man won't miss yarn oo, and again don't forget to buy fruits along for the family and probably wine for her dad.....ask her daughter for his brand, but it wasn't easy as a first timer grin
Education / Re: IPPIS: Ten Reasons Why Lecturers Did Not Register On The IPPIS Platform by larrypourl(m): 10:43am On Dec 23, 2019
johannu:

The fact that some public institutions are revenue generating bodies should not preclude them from being enrolled on IPPIS if the Federal Government really want them to be on the platform. Conferring a special status on 'revenue generating' bodies like the CBN is the stupid reason the CBN staff are paid far above the staff of other agencies who are contributing no less to the socio-economic development of Nigeria. I keep asking myself, is an accountant working in the CBN doing more than an accountant working in the OAGF? Or is a medical doctor in the NNPC doing more work than a medical doctor in the Federal Ministry of Health? Minimum wage aside, there is need for salary harmonization so that a computer analyst with the PTDF, for example, is at par with a computer analyst with the FCTA.

Well said.

Two part story.

1) My business partners neighbor died on that road on Wednesday evening around 7pm, coming back to Ibadan from attending his mum’s funeral. The accident was so horrid that the Doctor called to just come and bury him and no need to take him to morgue.

2) The neighbor that died is a night watchman.

A) Lady that sells paraga to them claims she sold him paraga around 10pm same night. Had a glow around him that she passed off as ambient light.

B) Fellow night watchman claims he personally visited him at his station around midnight as he was making his rounds. They shook hands but now recollect same glow and also coldness.

C) Two, not one, neighbors say him on back of okada around 9pm. They describe what he was wearing and matched his death cloth. They hailed him and he responded regarding his mum’s burial.

Not sure about all this but friend, it’s head scratching.

The man na real night watchman.

The new Ogbomoso - Oyo express road is under construction and its about 65% completed, once the road is completed, Ogbomoso - Oyo shouldn't be more than 35mins drive. I avoid that road like plague.
