If the whole Oil installations in the ND is destroyed by these Criminals (ofcourse, there wont be any living thing left, not even Creek Cockroaches! in that location when the Nigerian Armed Forces is finished testing their newly acquired hardware on them), ...does that mean Nigeria will STOP exporting crude Oil?
The answer is a BIG NO!
Because there is Oil being mined (and soon to be refined) in virtually all Western states of Nigeria.
And if it is true that the Chad basin is producing Oil in no-time, then it is Uhuru of the Nigerian state..... without a drop of Oil from the ND.

But even more importantly, they fail to understand that with the collapse of oil prices, Nigeria is diversifying her "source of income" away from Oil (which accounts for a mere 13% of GDP ... though about 80% of forex) .. into other sources like Agric, Solid Minerals, e.t.c

Add that to the fact that the Nigerian Armed Forces have been having "field practice/action" with Modern Weapons and Technology, in recent times.

Maybe Israel will finally change its mind and accept them sha.

Some people here are suggesting that FG send in the military to bomb their camps. Unfortunately I don't think these guys have camps like the MEND group had.

Secondly, Our military cannot possibly fight 3 ( Boko haram, Fulani herdsmen and Niger delta militants )insurrections at the same time. It's not possible because we don't have the numbers and equipments.

Between February and May of this year these guys took out more oil installations than Tompolo led MEND ever did. Tompolo Led MEND never took out subsea pipes, but this new guys have done it effortlessly.

The solution is simple, make the oil producing communities part time owners of the resources. Either you grant the states resource control or you just pass the PIB and grant the communities[b] a 5 or 10% cut of the profit[/b]. This militancy will die a natural death.

Congress has not yet been formally notified of the possible U.S. approval of the sale of Embraer's A29 Super Tucano turboprop aircraft to Nigeria.

The Tucanos can be used for training, surveillance or attack. They can be armed with two wing-mounted machine guns and can carry up to 1,550 Kg (3,417 pounds) of weapons. (See Factbox

One production line for the Super Tucano is in Florida, where it is built with U.S. firm Sierra Nevada Corp. The aircraft that would be sold to Nigeria come with a "very basic armed configuration ," one of the U.S. officials said.

The sale could offer Nigeria a more maneuverable aircraft that can stay aloft for extended periods to target Boko Haram formations. Officials did not disclose the cost of the planes to be sold to Nigeria.

However, a contract for 20 similar aircraft sold to Afghanistan was valued at about $428 million at the time it was announced in 2013.

J. Peter Pham, director of the Africa Center at the Atlantic Council think tank, said any sale of Super Tucano aircraft would demonstrate improving ties, but cautioned that their ability to counter Boko Haram could be limited.

"When you're fighting a group that's no longer holding towns and villages, that's no longer massing forces in a conventional way, t[b]he aircraft – attack aircraft – have a much more limited role in that kind of fight[/b]," Pham said.
