NextGovernor:So, if you want to throw a Court/House into darkness, you cant do it until you go to PHCN office, abi? Some of you should always "pause" ..... before hitting the Keypad! In most houses, there is a Change-Over Switch that you can just draw-down and the whole place is cut-off from power supply. Now, all Saraki did was to stall his trial as usual, using this person to Swith-off the power supply. #Dumbphucks! ![]() Lastpage! |
vanessaRN:...and how is that "NEWS"? Iranu raddarada. ![]() Tell me that Nigerians can now buy fuel easily, at affordable price.... that is NEWS. ![]() Lastpage |
Delphi:Sharrap there my friend! *Do you know that some students have no-where to go, at such short notice? *Do you know that some are just waiting for money from their sponsors or just holding-on for the semester to end so they can go back to their base? *Do you know the difficulty AND COST INVOLVED IN ASKING SOMEONE WHO CAME FROM SAY SOKOTO, TO GO BACK HOME, FROM SAY UNILAG... ONLY TO BE ASKED BACK IN TWO WEEKS TIME? *And why take the female students away somewhere hidden? I hop we wont hear of R@pe as we heard before? *Why not just round them-up and throw them out.? Why Torture them? Look, l have been a student and l know what is involved. Its not funny to be asked to pack all your belongings within a few hours..... except your parent's house is just a few minutes away. Lastpage! |
kenonze: I think its because of the fuel scarcity! Too many people are "legging it" about these days! ![]() Baba Buhari, no make me vex for you o, Build new refineries ASAP and deal with those NEPA people that divert funds meant for elelctrical infrastructures and do sabotage electricity supply. Lastpage! |
AmbodOfLASU:How is the staff of SLOT who sold the charger to you, guilty and have to be sacked and deprived of his source of living? *Was he not selling what the Company (SLOT) had in their stores? *Was he responsible or did he bring the fake charger from his house/outside the company, to sell to you? *has the source of the charger been properly investigated and narrowed to this particular staff or was it just a case of "now l don catch excuse to fire you"? Except if that is the case, then l consider this an "abuse of power", something very common with Nigerian business owners. I hope SLOT will explain the sacking because l wont be going there anymore, if that is how their CEO behaves. That will be my own little way of saying "Employees need to be respected as well". Oluwabusobomi:If any Poll likes, let it say Buhari's rating crashes to 0.1%. Until you show me someone better than Buhari who can do a better job without looting the treasury like Uncle Jona and his Grand-theft Nigeria Crew, l will vote Buhari in 2019. I know million others who will do same Deal with it, Mr. #WAILER |
agarawu23:No, 'Service Charge' does not inch me but l just dont waste money unnecessarily! To me, Its a SIN against God who provides you the money. ![]() If you factor-in a 'cash difference' of Ten or twenty Naira (between what you are offering and the Black Market rate) for say $100,000, that is about a Million to Two Million Naira lost. If l also factor-in 'Bank charges' which l have to pay, say $500, on that amount, ....again, that is another #150,000 lost! Its a matter of "Economics", from my own point of view! Until the day l see all those far-far richer people like Dangotte or Otedola..... throwing money away, then l stick to the "Economics"! ![]() Again, l dont do "cash-in-hand" for large sums of money. I think Bank-to-Bank is better since there is a record and paper trail of all money transacted..... just in-case l develop "bad memory". You wrote: "We can just click and pay for goods"... That sounds like "online" to me? ...or what are you clicking, if not a button on a web-page? Anyway, l will let it lie because l dont do Cash-in-hand for transactions over $500 or its equivalent. Thanks for your time. Lastpage! |
agarawu23:Ofcourse, its actually my own personal money, in my own foreign account..... l am just creating a 'layer account' between my own bank account .... and yours, such that my own personal identity is protected. I am beyond that age where people look for "quick and easy" money, moreover, what else do l want! Same way you wont be paying into my 'local' personal account but that of a cousin of mine. Though, l understand your "caution" and it is perfectly legitimate. But l would just be paying for whatever you want to buy, the way l pay for things l buy online..... like l am the one buying it. Not that l will be sending money to your account. I just thought of it now as a way of repatriating funds without the useless "official rate" which our local banks will give me! That "sender pays charges" clause needs to be looked at properly to see if at the end of the day, it is not 'detrimental' ![]() Lastpage! |

ayzTIGER:If you are too young, too illiterate and too dumb to know that CORRUPTION is the bane of ALL problems in Nigeria..... then there is no point in allowing you to come online. Unless you can mention "just ONE problem" of this country that is not traceable to CORRUPTION. Henceforth, Seun must put an "age/educational limit and I.Q test limit" on the those who can register on Nairaland. Ofcourse, after the "dark clouds" of today, .... comes sunshine. ![]() Lastpage! |
36STATES:Nothing illustrates that "upside down" that Fayose, a Thug and street Urchin who dropped out of Polytechnic, trying to grab a picture off a 5.0 graduate of a University! Wonders shall never end! |

foriz4u:I concur joor! We need the names of "Looters who have been jailed for like 316 years".... without possibility of parole! ![]() I know the "law" is very slow... especially in a democratic setting and these looters know how to frustrate the system. Just ask #Saraki and his team of 500 #TeamAPC Lastpage! |
7lives:Its possible but you have to tell us "exactly" what they are celebrating in those areas..... or is not not in this Naija that people are celebrating "cluelessness" for the last few years? ![]() Lastpage! |
agarawu23:Calm down Bro! He is only pulling your legs. How much do you want to pay China? I like to still remain completely anonymous , so l might just use a "third party" account (I mean someone l can fund their account, who then funds your China account... ) to fund for you. That may sound dodgy to you sha! ![]() Lastpage! |
Happykay:Naaah! Despite having a different "posture and opinion" on 'that matter' (We should all desist from mentioning names, as per that issue, henceforth) ..... l have not seen anything to warrant such suspicion. You would agree that we are all entitled to hold differing opinions, while respecting ourselves Having said that, in this day and age, when it comes to Money... especially on a "faceless forum" like this, you gat to do your own "due diligence". For example: *Ensure all transactions are done "Bank-to-Bank"..... not Cash-in-hand exchange *If l agree to give him $100 in exchange for say #30,000, that "agreement" must be communicated in writing by Email *You have to do a KYC (Know your Customer) on him first, (if you are not on ground to follow him to the bank ) by confirming that he is the true owner of that account, by calling the customer desk of his bank. Ofcourse, BVN is in place and will load customer details when you try to do an online transfer. ![]() *You dont transfer any Dollar until you check your own account and see that "Naira equivalent" is 'resting in peace' inside your account. So, it wont be based on "I trust you or l trust what you said"....... it will be on 'shine-ya-eye' basis @Agarawu, what's your rate on the following currencies,as of today: $, GBP and Euros ? #Brabus: I cant thank you enough because you have shown what l have always said: There is a good side to you. I read Maverick's post back page just now and it really made my Sunday morning. I was expecting him to get #10,000 but he got #50,000. That is how "A real Man" acts...... you surprise everyone that says you are nobody, with concrete actions, as against those who just come here to "mouth Grammar and show us internet images" like say we have not seen it all before! ![]() My prayer is that where you brought out that money, will be replenished in many folds, IJN. Like l said in one of my previous post, "Its all in the mind". If you think you can do it, you will do it because 'forces of the firmament' will align to ensure you do it. Religious peeps will call it fate, thinkers will call it 'power of positive thinking', the esoterics will call it 'will-power' and so one and so forth. I know you did not eat this particular #400K but in other to protect your good name, you are paying it-off! May that name ever take you to places far and beyond your imagination. I also thank Maverick again for being 'reasonable' and allowing me to make that suggestion, which he later obliged to. Now, l want to implore all of us t please let Brabus be. Let this #400K matter be. When fully paid, Maverick needs only inform the house. I will also suggest that until the given date, any discussion about this matter be deleted by the Moderator, person concerned "warned" to lay-off and if they persist, a ban should follow. And to all the "good guys" who took the matter like it is their money, God will "take-Up" your matter in various areas of your life. \ As to the other outstanding matter of "sheeple and cowardice" ..... l have laid down the gauntlet for more than 48hrs now, let "The Brave One" take it up and show us he is not all just "mouth and no-balls"! I will show on this thread, a video of him being "flogged and frog-jumped nakedly", (after removing the said Camouflage) .... in broad daylight in the city of Lagos! ![]() Shey l be Sheeple baa? Make we see now. ![]() Lastpage! |
kolnel:Amen to that! Bros, l am still growing o! I never grow up sef! ![]() Everything you lay your hands-on, ..shall prosper, in the name of the almighty Lastpage! |
brabus:You see why l was begging you to "protect that name" at all cost? More grease to your elbow. Lastpage! |
erico2k2:I take God beg you o! Nor put my name for your list.....l be gentle student, walahi! Blame it on the heat, biiko'nu Lastpage! |
brabus:See, when l say "Men will always be Men"! Life is very simple.... for those who take it with humility Brabus, l salute you! Maverick, l salute you as well. One day, l would invite both of you to dinner at the same time so we can laugh over the past. @Brabus, my prayer is that "Big Things" will not stop happening in your life. When "challenges" come, please, like my Mother used to say, "Stoop low, to conquer". ![]() [s]Set a target date for yourself, agree with Maverick and work towards it[/s]. Editted Now, l want to implore EVERYONE of us TO PLEASE ALLOW this matter to rest. Let us give both parties enough time to "quietly" sort it out.... and just confirm to us later, that the needful has been done. A big "Thank you" to everyone that contributed into allowing this matter to get a resolution. Lastpage! |
mavverick:Thanks Maverick, for seeing it my way. Since l did not have a prior discussion with Brabus on this before making the suggestion, l think it will also be fair to give time to allow Brabus think about it and come to a decision either to accept the offer or reject it, which is within his prerogative. Do you mind, if l ask you to sheath your sword for now..... while l wait on Brabus to read my post and voice his position on the offer l am making between the two of you? As for 'elder statesman' ....... No! I just want to be myself. - LASTPAGE! ![]() abouzaid:As for Egunmogaji, he is "who he is". He can call me sheeple and spineless but l will wager a fifty grand 'openly' here (#50,000, which l am willing to deposit to the account of a reputable Nairalander like Hajji M) that he dare not wear that Camo within a hundred feet of where l stand. I wont give him the benefit of the 'exceptions' though ![]() I will give a street name (specifically in Lagos) and house-number 'range', and give a time-frame of one hour (to be precise), between which l would dare him to come out openly with the Camo on him. I know his face so there wont be any mistake. I will have a camcorder with me and record what happens so as to serve as a lesson to others that "The Law is the Law.... and no one is above it! If he is "brave" let him accept this wager. Real men dont just mouth-off on Nairaland. Even Police Force Personnel are banned from wearing it.... except when on 'Joint Operations", how much more a 'nobody' like him! Obeying the law does not make you a "sheeple or spinesless"! Boasting online is what makes you one! ![]() Section 110(1) of the Criminal Code makes it unlawful for any person who is not serving in any of the armed forces in Nigeria to wear the uniform of the armed forces, or any part of the uniform of such forces, or any dress having the appearance or bearing any of the regimental or other distinctive marks of such uniforms. Camouflage is a part of the military uniform and so it falls under this law.Ignorance has never been an excuse, where l stand. We would now know who is spineless and sheeple! ![]() My Wager is on the table Lastpage! |
abouzaid:You are right..... Thanks for giving me that benefit. Lastpage! |
abouzaid:Bros, can l please ask you to chill....... not withstanding how you feel? Na beg l dey beg, Biiko-nu. Lastpage! |
BankeSmalls:Hahahaha! ![]() You are badt! ![]() Reminds me of Campus days when one of our guys just came back from Jand and he bought this type of Bandana with "Cross Bones and Skull". Nice brilliant guy without any affiliation to any Cult o! He was posing all about with his Bandana, doing effizzy all over..... but the "Pirates Confra" on campus were like "When did he join us" or is he a "plant"? While they were trying to place this guy, the "Eeye Confra" on Campus where also like "Eehn, so this one even has the audacity to be flaunting it in our own area of control"? ![]() Before anyone knew what happened, he was way-laid one day when coming back from Night-rigour and was nearly killed, if not for the help of a Capone who knew him from 'off-Campus' and knew he was just posing for girls! ![]() Thing is, "Ko'gbona, Ko'tutu, ....ija lo'nda lee"! Translate Literally : Sending out "mixed messages" could be dangerous, except if you are the "real deal"! ![]() Interesting al the same. ![]() Lastpage! BTW: Please avoid wearing Military Camo, like is done in the West, when in Nigeria..... "Asa'ilewa, Eewo ibomi nii". ("Style" in our domain, is an "Abomination" in other domains.). O'dikwa risky |
Ikhige:First, let me confess that l have a huge soft-spot for Brabus and much of of this can be seen in my post on/with him since way back like two years ago!, not just because he read Computer Sc. which was my First Degree Grad course from Unilag almost three decades ago, but because l like people who can take challenges...... so some of my comments might be skewed somehow! It does not mean if he does wrong, l wont call A Spade, a Spade! That he had paid 50K out of the 400K shows that at least, he intends to pay-up, how quickly this can be finalised, is the issue here. In this regard, l will still implore Brabus to take the moral high-road (I know Money is not easy these days, a relative term for different people ofcourse!) and just balance-up and let this matter be buried. There is a proverb which goes that "If you are accused (in the market place!), of "not wiping-off" after defecating..... how many people will you bare your azz to, to prove it is a lie"? ![]() So, That name "Bosun Davies", must be protected, at all cost, even if you have to bend-over backwards...for your own sake, your Business and your family members! I will even suggest you package additional 250K AT ONCE and give Maverick in one go, after we all plead/ask him to forget the remainder. You guys will still meet on another level and wish you did not allow this matter to generate like to this level. ![]() @Maverick, did l speak well, will you be kind to accept that offer if it can be done ASAP? Now, @Ikhigbe: Your analogy is Puerile and completely illogical.... and l would explain myself clearly because my statement not meant to be an argument or back-n-forth contest: 1.) In the present case, Maverick is "a member of the class" in question.... as a Nairalander! So, can you (a member of the same class) tell a member of the class to "get out of the class"? or dont they also have a right to (be in) the Class? Who made you Class Capitan? ![]() 2.) In the case of "a class" as used in your analogy, every member of that class is 'constrained and forced' to come to the Class for lectures. They have no choice but must come for lectures, for them to "Learn and Graduate"! In this case here, NO ONE is constrained or forced to read this Thread, just as no one is forced to "comment" on what happens. If you think you are not getting benefit from the thread, you simply Log-Out..... instead of complaining. 3.) Again, in the case of this thread, compared to your analogy, there are tons of other threads, by other builders/Engineers/Architects, e.t.c that one can learn from or post their questions to such that you can do without this thread! In essence, learning from this particular thread is not a 'do-or-die' affair! 4.) As adult, l think we also know that "if you want to be heard", you have to carry your matter to the Market .... court of public opinion! You dont go to a "quiet corner" of the street and begin to make noise! ![]() It is "common-sense" (and l am sure we will all do the same), to bring a matter like this, to a thread where you know others would likely see it.... not a thread created by the "accused" (I am using that word without prejudice to Brabus or Maverick).... where nobody is likely to even hear your vocie! ![]() So, Maverick is right in making his noise HERE! You dont like it, you check out to another thread. No one is forcing you to "learn" on this particular thread and there are many alternatives from people like Spyder, Aventures, Segcymore, e.t.c, that are even more educative. 5.) Since "You cant be rational" (due to the rudeness, as you put it) and "You dont care" ... the best thing is not to care at all.... and that means keeping quiet (They say "Silence is GOLDEN"!), reading silently as a lot of people have been doing .... or just logging-off the thread! All these are within your control but it is not within your control to tell "others" to get out of the thread! What will you. can you do, if they dont? Insult them? get rowdy and rude (as you are doing and have accused them)? Do you see the futility of your post and why l aid it is puerile and illogical? As to the other issues of "below the belt" that you raised, l dont want to get involved anymore since Hajji M has sued for peace but l am sure l am not the only one who still observes the "snide remarks and coded insulting jabs" being thrown regularly, by the persona involved, even after Hajj M and many others have sued for peace! Thing is, if you Respect people, it is only natural they respect you , because "Respect begets Respect"! Its not enough to be caustic and disparaging of others..... and expect them not to react with at times! ![]() "Agab ma'ngba nii" meaning "Matured people should not always want to have the last say, in a feisty-cuff" ... ! There are certain responsibilities that go with 'advanced age', ......leading by 'good' example and showing maturity" are just two of them. ![]() Having said all the above, my prayer is that God will replenish the pocket of Brabus so he can offset this issue, within the shortest possible time! I know you meant well initially (The Approval guy is a crook though) but its 'business-gone-bad'! Shyte happens. ![]() You will look back on this matter in the future and wonder: How did l allow this sort of small money to get me this much grief"? ![]() Lastpage! |
