Its a good Bill but needs refinement.

First, if the student is of "adult age" (over 18), you cannot criminalize it if both of them have "consensual sex" because they are both adults, not withstanding that one is a lecturer and the other a student.

Secondly, Sex itself is not a criminal act so, if done with and adult and done with consent, it cannot be criminal.

Thirdly, because of the existing relationship between a lecturer and student and the preponderance of LAZY and DESPERATE STUDENTS of today, how do you isolate cases of "set-up" and where a student wants to amr-twist a lecturer into passing him/her, by blackmailing them into such, using the law: I will claim you sexually harrased me by touching my bwest?
What is the level of admissible evidence .... or is it just "word of mouth accusation" that would be the yardstick for conviction?


I have heard cases where "Boyz" used their girlfriends to set-up a lecturer, so he can pass them in his course!

Its a delicate slope and l dont trust these our daft legislators to do the nitty-gritty of ensuring the innocent is not punished unjustly.


BTW: *When would they (Legislooters) pass the law that will jail Legislators who use this same Undergraduate Girls as "call-girls" (prostitute really), in their "Bonga-Bonga parties? or

Criminal cases are charged to court AFTER investigations have been concluded.... otherwise you are just doing "image-cleaning" for the accused because Judge will just throw-away the case and accuse the EFCC of incompetence!

But investigations take some time!

Depending on the severity of the case, the circumstance, the law allows the Agency to detain the accuse, pending investigation..... if the agency can convince the court that "setting the accuse lose" on society, will lead to a perversion of Justice.

I personally dont want the innocent to suffer but you will agree with me and Nigeria's criminals are a "special case".
The rot is so deep that it will take a very stringent and severe methods to get to the bottom.

The detained cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Robert Azibaola, has urged a Federal High Court in Lagos to declare as unlawful any attempt by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to make him indict the ex-President.

In a fresh suit filed on Wednesday, Azibaola’s lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, claimed that any attempt to make his client indict the ex-President was a violation of Section 7 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, “which has outlawed the practice of arresting a citizen as ransom for the alleged offence of another citizen.”

Azibaola, who claimed to have been in the EFCC’s detention since March 23, is also, through Adegboruwa, urging the court to bar the EFCC from approaching any magistrate’s court to obtain any remand warrant extending his detention in the anti-graft agency’s facility.

The EFCC had reportedly detained Azibaola on the allegation that he diverted $40m through a company, One-Plus Holdings, which was awarded the contract of pipeline surveillance.

The EFCC had transferred him from Abuja to Lagos where it on April 22 obtained a warrant from a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court in Ikeja to remand him pending conclusion of investigation into his alleged crime.
But in the new fundamental rights enforcement action filed on Azibaola’s behalf on Wednesday, Adegboruwa contended that the EFCC could not rely on sections 293 and 294 of the ACJA to continue to detain his client.

He claimed that those sections of the law were designed for criminal offences such as murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and treasonable felony, which attract capital punishment for which the police would need time to await a legal advice from the office of the Attorney-General.

First, these alleged criminals should stop playing the "Victim Game", Nigerians are now wiser than before.


Let me explain:
If they force you to "indict the Ex-President", two things can happen:
a) You can deny your evidence in a court room, in front of the Judge, claiming it was obtained under duress
b) Investigation of such evidence, would show that it is not tenable, just "cooked-up"

On the other hand, I want the court and all Nigerians to focus on THE SUBSTANCE of the ALLEGATION, irrespective of whether Jonathan is involved or not. Again, let me explain


a) Was $40Million paid to the named company? Forty Million Dollars, for God's sake? Wetin
b) Are you the beneficiary owner of such company?
c) Was "due process" followed in awarding such contract? (e.g, through Public tender?)
d) Are you qualified to discharge the contract for which such humongous amount was paid to your company?
e) Did you discharge the contract, as awarded ..... or just made-off with the money?
f) Depending on the answers and result of investigations into the above questions, are you GUILTY (or Not) under Nigerian law?

These is how trials proceed, not running to the Newspapers and trying to get cheap and inconsequential sympathies from fellow thieves and #Wailers. Or trying to Blackmail the EFCC into "inaction".

As to detention orders and renewal of such orders, let us make it clear that these offences are TREASONOUS and CRIMINAL because they are what have brought the country to its present predicament, with "unsung death" of hundreds of thousands of Nigerians.
The Agency has the right to detain and investigate further, once a "prema-facie case" has been initially established.

From the above, if the "person concerned" (Saraki) makes such written admission by saying "I made a mistake in my form, please l will like to amend it". That alone would prove that it was a genuine mistake! This is similar to "the principle of self admission of guilt", to mitigate sentence.


2.) The false asset declaration was made since 2007 and 2011 when he was Governor of Kwara State. That is FIVE YEARS ago!.
So, since it was his duty and responsibility (If truly it was a mistake or oversight) to COME CLEAN and write the Commission to say "I made a mistake in my form", ........ SARAKI FAILED TO MAKE USE OF SUCH OPPORTUNITY THE LAW AFFORDS A GENUINE MISTAKE OR OVERSIGHT.

3.) Any Judge will know that 5 - 8years is more than enough to know and realize if you made a mistake in your Asset declaration form.... and correct it ASAP. It is not the job of the Bureau to "detect" a fraudulent claim, after many years of investigation (while the person who made the claim is busy hiding it more and more) to call the accuse to come and amend it.
Confessing a mistake and immediately amending it, is Saraki's prerogative. He chose otherwise.

4.) Saraki has made more than one Asset declaration after those "cooked ones"...... he still continue to FALSELY DECLARE HIS ASSETS on subsequent forms!
Once could be construed as a mistake, but twice, thrice..... is a criminal and calculated attempt to hide assets.

5.) No reference will be made to the tribunal if and only if, the accused BY HIMSELF realized his error and corrected it......... NOT AFTER HE IS CAUGHT PANTS DOWN! This is where your argument FAILS WOEFULLY

6.) Finally, further evidence has recently even come to light, via the PANAMA PAPERS, that Saraki did not just falsely declare his assets in Nigeria but that he has so many other Assets hidden and spirited-away like a Squirrel, in foreign lands.... without also declaring them.
Some are even hidden wit his wife's name!

He is even trying to amend the same law, under which he is being tried in the CCBT! Can you imagine the effrontery of this criminal called Saraki?

So, on the "balance of ALL EVIDENCE", it is clear that Saraki did not make "a mistake" but his was a conscious act to deceive, deflect and genuflect, in the hope that he would never be detected.

You dont repent ...only after being caught in the act..... otherwise all Armed Robbers, Kidnappers and ritual killers "will claim repentance" when about to be sentenced to Prison!

Supreme Court judges are not as unintelligent as you are making them to be..... except you are referring to that particular Judge who is under the influence of filthy lucre from the likes of Saraki and his "fixers".

1.) "Police Invitation" is a NORMAL thing, when somebody makes a report. It is just to "hear", from the other persons's mouth".

2.) Honouring such invitation shows you are a "law-abiding" citizen, which is what Whizkid has done.

3.) Even if a Crime is committed or established to have been committed, you should know that the matter will only be charged to court, by the Police.
That is where the action of the Police ends. At that point, the accused is STILL INNOCENT

4.) Until a Competent Judge, in a "Competent Court of Law" pronounces that the accused is GUILTY of the said, he still remains INNOCENT!

It is after step 4, that a "criminal record" will be made in a file, for the accused.
