Though this is just a satirical article, in reality the couple deserve being arrested for insisting on being a nuisance after being warned severally. There's a reason fufu flour is sold in almost all European cities.

Hello friends, pls pardon my long sermon. I lost my job 2 months after my wedding. Have been trying so hard to secure a new job all to no avail, I ventured into freelancing because man must wack. The freelance thing wasn't steady, I have faced serious hardship all this while. I did a practical interview six months ago with an oil servicing company here in Port Harcourt though I passed the interview they never called. Just day before yesterday I got a call from the operations manager who is an expertrate and he was asking me if am still open and interested for the job, I said yes, so I went there yesterday and was referred to the company's hospital for fitness test and I passed. After negotiation we agreed 3.7M annual salary. I Will be going for induction 2moro @ clients company. God who has done it 4me will do it 4 U. Just believe and it will work. Thank U
Congratulations. May God see you through henceforth.
I can imagine the challenge you went through for that six months, as a newly wed!

Politics › Re: Northern Lawmakers Kick Against Birth Control, Say It Is Anti- Islam. by lastpage: 2:58pm On Nov 26, 2015
uboma:
Most Muslims and their way of thinking still remains a mystery to me. Visit the North and see children littered everywhere with little or no parental care. These little children are left on their own to fend for themselves (begging with their plates) at a very young age under harsh conditions.

This makes me think of a select few Muslims who are married to just one wife and have less than 5 children. Don't these set of Muslims employ birth control measures in their lives? Does their lifestyle weaken their faith as Muslims?

At the end of the day, it is these abandoned children on the streets that take up arms (after being bribed with some money) to kill other innocent people(of other faith inclusive) and destroy homes and properties on the request of a few disgruntled elements.

The Northerns need to go back to the drawing board or they will continue to heap problems for themselves.
Caveat: I am a Christian

I dont think the "number of wives" has anything to do with the "NUMBER or QUALITY of Children"... a family has!

*I have seen a family of one wife without any Children ...while l have also seen a similar set-up, with eleven (Yes, 11) children
* I have seen a man married with three wives yet he has just six children ....while his neighbour with a single wife, has eight (cool children
* I have seen a family with only one child, that ended-up being a truant, a cultist and complete embarrassment to the parents
*I have also seen a family of six (mine) where all the Children had at least, a master's degree, all doing well in life

Thus, l want to conclude that the number of children one has, is a concious decision of the husband and wife (wives) ..
And how you train those children and how they turn out in life, is primarily a function of the amount of TIME and ENERGY you invest in them, as they grow up.

Most people think once you shower your kids with money and provide everything they demand for, they will turn out well?
Answer is "No".

The "Personal time" you spend with your children, checking their behaviour and correcting it on a daily basis, going through their home work with them, praying with them, eating with them, listening to them, encouraging them, boosting their confidence, teaching them about the morals and values/pitfalls of life, living a "good example" in their presence, e.t.c contributes more to their success, than MONEY.

Ofcourse, if you have a good amount of money to boot, it makes the job easier.

Those children you see up North are a product of ignorant and selfish parents whose "mentality" are also brainwashed by their religion, to a large extent.

We in the Southern part of Nigeria, even amongst Muslims, seem to place much premium on the success of our children ..maybe because we see them as a "continuation of our own life", after we die.
We just "love and cherish" life, ....and being alive, than the average Northerner.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Faces JAIL In South Africa by lastpage: 2:22pm On Nov 26, 2015
Lordave:
You don't fight which fùcking church?

If the church constitutes public nuisance or disobeys the law, the law enforcement agencies pull it down.
The church is not the only public gathering body, it deserves no preferential treatment.

Moreover, Chris is not a church, he's just a coordinator who must abide by the law or face a lengthy jail term for hoodwinking the public and failing to declare how much he made from the fraud.
Relax and stop eschewing IGNORANCE!

I am all for "war against corruption" be it from a religious body (Church, Mosque, e.t.c) but at the same time, l am all for fairness to EVERYONE.

1.) The Church is a "Charity organisation" and there are Laws governing the operation and filing of accounts of such Charities.
If the law says they are not to publish annual accounts, then there is nothing anyone can do.... except that law is changed

2.) Chris is the head of that Church... but he is also not the accountant!
In as much as l want to believe they all dip their hands into "God's Money"! grin
l also know that these "pimping, con-men" are not that stewpid as not to "insulate" themselves. So, the law needs to be smart in this regard.

3.) When you say "Hoodwinking", you probably are thinking the "Law" has an excuse for foolish people who willingly surrender their money to the Church?
NO!
As long as people are stewpid enough to part with their money (probably under the promise of going to heaven, which they know they dont even deserve ... "who is trying to hoodwink who here"?)... you cannot blame the love-vendor of a Pastor who collects the money!

Like most things with South Africans, they dont reason deeply and like to introduce "Bigotry" into their actions.
What they need to do is to educate their people to STOP being gullible and parting with their money.

And Pastor Chris is right (though l am no fan of his in anyway), if the enabling laws/Constitution does not empower this woman to ask the Church to bring their Accounts, trying to intimidate them would not work.
They have a right to seek redress in Court, where a competent JUDGE would examine the Constitution and determine whether she is going beyond her Powers or not.

No one should be afraid of going to court or being taken to court, as long as you abide by the law.
Just my humble take

free2ryhme:
This is sickening!
It is disappointing of our judicial system.

The robbers had attempted to commit a murder in the sense that the baby could have as well died while his head was hit on the ground.

Now let’s ask ourselves the simple and clear question: Should this kind of offence be bailable?

The robbers have to be dealt with approriately and the should be made to serve as scapegoats to others in their shoes.

I strongly believe if the victim had be a relative to the Magistrate presiding over this matter, the judgement would have been much sterner than this!
The "Law" is coded (written) and how you feel, even if you are the Judge, is not part of the "code".
The law states for x, y, z offence, bail can be granted... on a,b,c conditions.

So, the Judge just takes a look at the offence...and checks the "Law books", then applies what he/she sees there!
That is why we say "The law is a BLIND Ass"!

Now, when an "accused criminal" pleads NOT GUILTY at first hearing, the normal procedure is to adjourn the case (this allows the criminal to also gather evidence and file their own defense) while either remanding the accused in custody or granting them bail, depending on where the "charges" fall on the statutes book. It also allows the Judge the time to properly "consider the crime, the applicable laws and punishment".

So, in this case, the "charges filed by the Police" fall under the BAILABLE criteria.

Dont forget, the matter is still adjourned and they would still have to answer for their crime!

As long as Bribery is not involved (though these mofos that cat perfect their bail conditions are not liely to have enough to bribe a Judge anyway...... but the I.P.O is a "weak link" and we know the kind of |humans" that Police people are! undecided )

So, lets "chill" and put our feeling son hold for now.
