They have been doing that for a long time bro, even in the South West. A place dominated by South south minority group would be made to be recognized as Igbo communities.

You do have a point, though. The Hausa (or should I say Northern) population in the South-west is also huge, but because they are less boisterous and gregarious than other ethnic groups, people often overlook their numbers.

Are Igbo's not from Southern Nigeria?
why the panic and venom when Igbo's are mentioned? Igbo's contribute greatly to the economy of Northern Nigeria. Igbo's supported Goodluck just like they supported Obasanjo and Yaradua so i see no crime in their supporting GEJ.

If you have sense at all, you'll see where I wrote that others were banned but only UNN ban remained in place because their chemical engineering students and lecturers pioneered construction of main weapons that wiped Nigerian soldiers like ants (if you go to hellfire, you can ask Murtula Mohammed of Abagana).

The fact that a university was accredited to run a course in the past, does not mean it will always be accredited each time the National Universities Commission (NUC) decides to conduct its' checks, or that such a university cannot fail to secure accreditation for that same course from NUC, in subsequent years. For example, University of Ibadan was denied accreditation for its Law courses in 2005, but was granted full accreditation to run the same course in 2009, after it put its' house in order in 2006, because it secured an interim accreditation to do so, once it had complied with the NUC's guidelines. sad

In 1990, the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) was denied the chance to run courses in Medical Rehabilitation (despite having full accreditation to run courses in medicine), but finally met the criteria needed to do so between 1999/2000, after which it was granted interim accreditation. It secured full accreditation for the same course in 2007. It was also denied a chance to run Dental Surgery at undergraduate level in 1990, but was granted interim approval to run the same course in 2007 after it was able to demonstrate its' capacity to do so. From 1990 to 2016, there is no record that UNN applied to the NUC for accreditation to run any Chemical Engineering courses, or that it was denied a chance to do just that. How can a university be prevented from running a course, when it has not even applied for approval or accreditation to do so? huh

Kindly download the full report of the National Universities Commission (NUC) on the list of courses that local universities have been granted full permission to conduct at degree level. http://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2016/08/UNDERGRADUATE-ACCREDITATION-RESULTS-1990-MARCH-2016.pdf

Well, it's not their fault because in a bid to cover up the atrocities littered in the making of this scam called Nigeria, History was removed as a course in their primary and secondary schools. Tell me anywhere in the world where history is not taught in schools?

Don't be surprised if this zombie quotes me and says that Nigeria schools don't offer History because they 'lack facility and qualified staff to teach' history. cheesy
Typical IPOB response. All buffoonery and no rationality. You asserted that "So Nigeria suspended teaching of Chemical Engineering in UNN and other SE tertiary institutions till date..." sad Your assertions about other SE institutions being denied that chance was blatantly untrue, and this was pointed out. That was why you started throwing sly insults about, in a bid to cover up your shallow mentality.

You then tried to turn UNN's lack of a Chemical Engineering Dept into a propaganda tool, to make it sound as if the govt deliberately denied the university the chance to run courses in Chemical Engineering. Has any UNN professor or any of the authorities of the school come out openly to say the govt refused to allow them to run a degree programme in Chemical Engineering, despite the fact that they had all the resources, facilities, staff and equipment that made them fully qualified to do so?? huh Kindly let us know.

The fact that they have facilities to run other courses, does not mean they also have adequate facilities to run a chemical engineering programme. Ask the National Universities Commission what it takes to get a degree programme accredited in a local university. undecided

The same govt that did not allow UNN to run a Chemical Engineering programme (according to you), is the same govt that allowed Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, as well as small Madonna University, to carry out full-fledged chemical engineering degree programmes.
