PapaBrowne: In my estate in Lekki I pay average N60,000 monthly and we get 24hrs light. I run 5 air conditioners very regularly and a couple other appliances.
I also operate outside of Lagos and have residence in my base of operation. Here I use a private generator. The average consumption on 6 hrs usage is about 15 litres =Average 2200. I also get an average of 8 hrs light daily. In total my power consumption a month for 14 hrs light daily comes up to approximately 90,000 Naira and I can bare run 2 Air conditioners on that.
I tell you those guys might actually be better off paying that amount than running their own generators, Guy, if you are paying 90,000 naira every month running your private generator for 8 hours of light everyday, yet you can barely run two airconditioners, then someone is definitely stealing your diesel or fuel supplies. There is an element of waste, loss or leakage somewhere. Pls investigate. |

jameseva: Sorry but I still call bullshit on this one. While you are very free to believe her stories, any faceless anonymous source can claim to have incriminating information about the ongoing situation. The real suspect here that i expect critical thinkers to see through almost immediately is, Requesting security from Kaduna State Government and not the federal government, Police or even her State government. She could absolutely have requested protection from ANY of the 36 state governments and several security agencies in the country but conveniently chose Kaduna just when the pastor's defense team are pushing the witch hunt narrative.
Without a shred of evidence and appearance like the main accuser. Its an acted script to dilute the waters I strongly believe.
I must admit it is a pretty good move from the pastor's team though Gbam!! Your post make sense, die! |

Believe7: Still on Apostle Suleman/Otobo issue By Richard Akinola
This is an article written by Richard Akinola, Executive Director of Media Rights Agenda (MRA), renowned journalist and legal practitioner, on his take on the ongoing issue between Apostle Suleman and Stephanie Otobo. Please read on...
"I have followed issues raised in the press conference of Stephanie Otobo, the alleged mistress of Apostle Suleiman and a number of reactions to it but my position on the issue has not changed".
1. The fact that the lady changed her initial claim that there was a marriage introduction between her and Suleiman in her family home, after her father denied such, makes all her other claims suspect. Following her father's denial that no such introduction took place and that Suleiman had never been to his house, she now said the so-called introduction was done in the Apostle's office. That is highly preposterous. How can you have a marriage introduction in the suitor's office?
2. On her call for their passports to be checked to confirm that they travelled to Italy together: When a stalker is desperate, he/she can go to any length to get his/her victim's attention. If you know the itinerary of your target, particularly a preacher whose international meetings are made public, a desperate stalker can go there in attempt to see the person.
Some years ago, pastor Adeboye told a story of a lady stalker, who consistently came to him to tell him that she was his ordained wife. Adeboye said he always rebuffed the lady, telling her that how can that be true when he was married. He said the lady continued to stalk him. Then, one day, he said he travelled abroad unannounced for an engagement.
A day after he arrived, Adeboye said someone knocked his hotel room door and as he opened it, behold it was this same lady. Aghast, Adeboye said he didn't know how she knew he was travelling, the place he was going and his hotel. He then realised that she was not an ordinary person but an agent of the devil and out of righteous anger, he warned the lady that the next time he set his eyes on her, she would die. And that was the end of the lady's stalking.
3. If Suleiman has anything to hide the supposed amorous relationship, he would have "settled" her and not involve the police. l doubt if he would involve the police when the lady was making unreasonable financial demand, which necessitated the police to coordinate the payment of the money before she was arrested.
4. On the issue of the lady asking for call logs, here is a man, a public figure who deals with thousands of people on regular basis and counsels and gives financial assistance to many people. So, do you know how many people he would have contact with? Besides,we are in a society where, with technology, text messages are sent with peoples numbers without the person being aware of it.
To me, since the matter has been charged to court, these are issues that would come up during trial, particularly during cross-examination and where the demeanor of the defendant and the complainant in the witness box would be taken into account by the magistrate and not this showmanship of media trial where the lady was describing the supposed size of Suleiman's manhood and the style he likes. To me, this smacks of premeditated, malevolent media trial meant to UnCloth the man publicly.
5. Could it be that this is just a coincidence that this scandal is coming just few weeks after Suleiman's encounter with the security over the Fulani herdsmen, and a supposed relationship that purportedly happened in 2015? Why coming out now?
6. I have lived long to know that things of this nature are not always the way they are. Or were we not here some years ago when we were regaled with the confessions of Fryo following the murder of Bola Ige, after which the guy recanted?
7. In the mid 80s, we witnessed how Justice Donald Ikomi was set up in the then Bendel state. He was a very strict no-nonsense judge as the Chairman of Bendel State Armed Robbery Tribunal, who was a thorn in the flesh of robbers. He also didn't have a good relationship with the police. He was therefore set-up.
The policeman guarding his house, Corporal Uanle was murdered in the judge's house, his tongue and private part, cut off. The judge was arrested, witnesses lined up against and was charged with murder. Before the trial started, he had been retired. I covered the case. At the end of the day, the judge was discharged and acquitted for want of evidence, but not after he had been humiliated and shown the way out of the Bench by his traducers.
I am not in any way trying to defend Suleiman but my instinct tells me there is more to this that meets the eye. I am not carried away by all the salacious details of Otobo. I would rather wait for her trial in court where all the facts would be laid bare, after rigorous cross examination and evidences. I know that Suleiman has only made tentative statements on this issue, perhaps not wanting his proposed evidence in court to be ambushed. That is my reading.
And l know that Suleiman had been tried and convicted in the media but l am giving him a benefit of doubt. You don't have to agree with me but things are not always the way they seem because there are three sides to the case- his side, her side and the truth. Waiting for the case to commence in court. Guy, may God bless you for sharing this article. It just goes to show the reasons why any rational person would doubt this 'Apostle- vs.Otobo' story. Like Akinola said: let us all wait until the case is called up in court, so that all the evidence can be brought forward and all witnesses can be cross-examined. Then, and only then would the truth be uncovered. May God expose all the secret things hidden from man. |

Daboomb: And you think that Sulaiman and Daniella travelling same Airline, on same date, to same destination (stamped at Port of Entry!), leaving same country to another destination on the same date again, with Sulaiman visiting the same House that Daniella lives, seeing him in the vicinity of her Vehicle, e.t.c .......... are all COINCIDENCES that happened by chance?
You people that are defending this man will always say, as usual, any credible evidence proffered against him is Photo-shopped (Just like most of you were saying Buhari's picture with people who saw him alive in London were photoshopped, until the President himself walked into Kaduna on his two legs!) Your brains are incapable of processing anything logically because you have just decided that you cant face the truth and must not accept it, even if it is staring you in the face.
Make una Kwantinue but as for "Apostle" Sulaiman, he is free to shag any lady he desires just that he should quit pretending and bringing shame to Christianity. Fuckaholic Sulaiman is a DUPE. ` Randy Apostle ...led by Holy Spirit his Prick!! Guy, I have boarded international flights before, only to discover that old friends I hadn't seen in years, or acquaintances and even in a few cases - outright enemies, were on board as well. All due to sheer coincidence. Does that mean we planned the trip together? There is no need for name calling, here. I am not defending the pastor, but Stephanie Otobo's story is too full of loopholes and so many gaps, that do not add up. Until I see concrete evidence ( not illegible number plates or photoshopped images), I will not buy her story. Runs girls, strippers and commercial sex workers like Otobo can say anything to get anywhere. Honesty or integrity is not their strong suit. No offence meant. |

4dor: In 2017 when almost every Tom, Diccck and Harry use Bio data, you think a visa to Italy will be forged? Even when oluwole was strong they couldn't do anything with thumb scanning . Simply because every human being has a distinct one. If he's sure let him present his passport to the public first.
As for the car issue, instead of arguing tell Apostle to tell us where his Lagos State registered SUV is, once that's done we won't even talk about it again.
As for the integrity part, if one could identify a truly honest person on this earth, that person will be a rival to God.
For the records in Apostles first statement he doesn't deny having phone class with this lady and he also admitted sending her money. Now ask yourself why will a man of God have phone calls with a stripper? What has light got to do with darkness? You remember what Amos 3:3 says? Guy, I have been a church worker before, and I know pastors call members of their church and vice versa, from time to time. Some church members can even call a pastor at 2 a.m in the morning to cry that they are under attack. If you read the pastor's initial comment, he said Stephanie used to call for counselling. She was (or is) a commercial sex worker, remember? As for the location of his SUV, why does he need to reveal its' present location? Just to prove that it is not in Daniella's custody? Neither Daniella nor the pastor, has said anything about the SUV. Only Otobo mentioned it, so let her bring forth concrete evidence, and not illegible number plates that cannot be read, or photoshopped images. He who asserts must prove. She claims he gave her money, and he too admits it. Ok, we have heard. There are several pastors that give money to their financially challenged members, from time to time when they plead for assistance. Too many needy people are swamping the church, these days. Ask around. So, the giving of money is still not a big deal. In some well-structured churches, there is a welfare dept that handles such requests. But trust me, there are still some desperate members that would waylay the pastor outside the church or elsewhere, to beg for money. They feel the protocol and form-filling process that the welfare dept demands, is too tasking and too slow to meet their needs. As for the visa issue, let us assume according to you that it cannot be faked. Never been to Italy before, so I don't know the procedure. But it still does not prove that they travelled together. I have gotten to the airport several times in the past, only to discover friends, acquaintances or even enemies had boarded the same flight I was on, just due to sheer coincidence. |

4dor: You're mixing things up, the main accuser never said evidence was stolen, in fact she said she is willing to drop her international passport to prove they travelled to places together, she also challenged him to drop his if he is confident.
As for the gullible part, I'm not sure who is gullible here tbh, as we speak there's concrete evidence linking Daniel's SUV to the apostle so that part is NOT fake. Hmmn...Reno is talking about a totally different girl, and not Otobo. Even if both passports are compared, it still does not prove that they travelled together. Or do you have access to their boarding passes, issued by the airline? Her entry visa & exit stamp into those same countries that the pastor visited, can easily be forged. Have you heard of Oluwole axis on Lagos island? Secondly, the number plate of the car is NOT legible in the photographs shown. So it is actually difficult to ascertain if that car is actually the pastor's car. Today alone, I saw about 8 identical cars similar to the one in that photograph. Isn't it possible that another car was actually parked there, and people are using the number plate of the pastor's car to claim that this jeep belongs to him? Thirdly, has it been proven beyond doubt that Daniella Okeke is the only person residing in that building? If she is not, don't you think it is possible that the pastor may have come to see someone else and not Daniella, in that same block, especially if it is revealed later that it is a multi-tenanted apartment? He could even have stopped by to pray for a sick member of his flock. Until I see concrete evidence and NOT photoshopped images, I will not buy Stephanie Otobo's story...sorry. Runs girls, strippers and commercial sex workers are not known for their integrity. No offence meant. |

1). I cannot read the number plate of the Mercedes Benz GL450 jeep, from the picture shown. It is NOT legible. Why is the number plate blurred?? 2). Stephanie Otobo's story is too full of holes. She is a stripper, and has led the life of a commercial sex worker. Yet, she claims that the pastor forced her to drink a concoction after she got pregnant for him, and she bled for many months. 3). Where is the proof that the pastor got her pregnant? 4). She wants us to believe that after working as a runs' girl, or a commercial sex worker, she does not know how to terminate an unwanted pregnancy using safe, medical means or procedure? Or that she has never done so before? 5). When she took the concoction and she bled, where was she treated? Which doctor handled her case? 6). Why did she not go public at that time, if anything actually transpired between her and the pastor? 7). Did she not know that the pastor was a married man when she started dating him as she claimed? Or when he proposed to her? : Why is she claiming millions from the pastor, for breaking an alleged promise to marry her? How, when and where was the alleged proposal made and on what date? Did she spend any money on the pastor, that she is now trying to get back? 9). Where is the proof to show that the building outside which the pastor's jeep was parked, is actually the residence of Daniella Okeke? 10). Let us even assume that Daniella lives there. Is Daniella the only person residing in that building, or is it a multi-tenanted apartment that has other families resident there, too? namet: Julius Michael has done the right thing by withdrawing his support for this fraudster called Suleman. Julius Michael should also call for the arrest and punishment of suleman. I say this because anyone, including pastors, who lie to people to collect their monies every Sunday has committed a criminal act (419 anybody?).
Julius Michael is right in rebuking Suleman. He should also call out the Nigerian Christian Association (CAN) and demand that they condemn Suleman's reckless endangerment of women. It is irresponsible for someone with huge following like Suleman to abuse his trust.
Sleeping with women without protection risks STD/HIV transmission and infection of partners and it is reckless. Worst, giving poisonous, supposedly, abortion substances (a murderous concoction) to any woman to drink is a criminal act. THESE ARE THE BASIS UPON WHICH JULIUS MICHAEL AND, INDEED, NIGERIANS WITH A VOICE AND CONSCIENCE SHOULD CONDEMN SULEMAN, BOYCOTT HIS CHURCH OUTFIT AND NOT SUPPORT HIM ANYMORE.
Suleman got this woman pregnant and then forcefully gave her poison to drink in order to abort the unborn child. Just imagine if someone forcefully gave your mother a poison to drink to abort or kill you while you were still inside your mother's womb. Think about that....that someone who calls himself a pastor does this to a woman who can easily be someone's mother, someones sister or daughter.
Julies Michael understands this and that is why I commend him for standing up against Suleman whom is a danger to women and even his wife, a woman whom sadly and naively continue to support a husband that puts her welfare at risk. I don't even know how people reason anymore. What proof do you have that the pastor got her pregnant? Were you the medical doctor that conducted the pregnancy test? Did you do a DNA test on the foetus? You think that a stripper like that girl can get pregnant so easily, in this Nigeria? Do you even know what a stripper like Stephanie does for a living? People buy so many Nigerian-used cars these days complete with the former owner's old registration number. My neighbour did so last year, and drove the car for 3 whole months before changing the number. The previous owner was his former boss. Fastfoward to now.. i have heard seen but never knew i would ever one day happen in my own family.. my aunt lost hr husband about ten years ago leaving only three daughters (my cousins).. due o political wranglings in my paternal family, it was obvious that her late husband is been shortchanged if not entirely fazed out in he schem of things hence her decision.. she kept it secret and boom.. surprised everybody .. its for real.. the new wife"ojinoshi" bride price has been paid and she is now our wife.(can you imagine)..my mother is even preparing to go and greet /welcome (her).... which kain life sef.. are male children not overhyped? whymust society ostracize widows...? do we not respect the rights of the dead? i dont blame her .. she was forced.. now she will force another wonan to fornicate on her behalf so she can have a right in her own husbands home.. forgive my typos .. i am not happy Guy, your story is incomplete. What is the name of your community? And in which area or local govt is this custom practised? What happens to such children whose mother was not legally married to the dead man when he was alive, after they are born? Why do you think children who are conceived 10 years after a man died, would be classified and accepted as the dead man's offspring? Don't think it is possible, though.... |

COMPAQ: Not quite sure what magic develolment you think it will bring! Already like half of Mobil staff (if not more) are based in eket. What magic will the other half bring. SPDC is headquartered in PH. What fantastic change did it bring? Is there anything fantastic about Port Harcourt? She'll had only operations in Warri, before they sold their OML's there and Warri is now a shadow of itself. Just to let you know that even without having HQ in Warri and only operational base, Shell was making an impact in Warri. Maybe more useful to ask for proper accountability for the states of the Niger Delta, from NDDC etc. We Nigerians find it easy to go and protest in front of shell gate, but will never go and protest at government house. Poverty mentality! No disrespect to the people of the ND, but the mentality and reasoning faculty of the average ND is pretty poor. Too much entitlement mentality like someone said before. Which is why cult killings, kidnapping etc thrice so much in these areas. Which oil company would want to come to such a place that isn't safe. And coming here won't change much cos the oil companies cannot employ beyond what they need. Even if every single shell staff is from ND, highest that's 2500 people. What of the other millions from ND? Your post make sense, die! Abeg, collect one chilled bottle from Mama Tamuno's shop down the road. Let her know that all the drinks are on me! |

aribisala0: There is one thing I have observed, the truth is often a secret and when you publish it people ignore it because they don't like it.
It is a myth that somehow the Location of company Headquarters means great revenues to those hosting the headquarters.
It means some revenue ,to be fair ,but what exactly.?
State governments are entitled to income tax/PAYE deductions. They cannot tax the company on its profits onl the FG can.
So in a copany like Shell e.g what percentage of its staff are based in Headquarters and what percentage in the field.
Under the present rules it is the Personal Income tax that will accrue and NOT copany tax.
Let e introduce another FACT
PAYE is deducted at source and is perhaps, the most unavoidable tax.It has been paid forever.
In 1999 when Tinubu took over as Governor in Lagos State IGR which included these PAYE and everty other tax was 500 million a month. Today it is 20 billion. Where did the difference come from? Oil comanies? No!! They were already in the net.
If the argument is for a greater share of oil revenues fine but it has very little to do with Oil company headquarters location. One must always match the right argument to the right problem. Governent is responsible to people and not companies. I am all for increased revenue to oil producing communities buut that has absolutely nothing to do with this Hmmn...good point!! |

AkinPhysicist: the emboldened is thrash You dey mind dem? I have lived, schooled and worked in Lagos as well as other parts of Nigeria, and I am yet to meet a Yoruba community or person trying to label Igala as Yoruba, or trying to drag the Igala into their fold. They have not claimed even the Itsekiri yet, is it now the Igala they would drag? when you attend Itsekiri social & political gatherings, you will observe mutual respect between both groups, when they relate with each other. Hehehe.... everyone knows those who specialise in dragging other ethnic groups into their clique, in order to populate their proposed republic. It is the IPOB crew. Shey, you can see the angle from which they started this thread? They began with the issue of language. Soon, they will digress to the issue of culture, and then they will land in the realm of ancestral ties and ethnic identity. It is at that point they will start dictating to the Igala what their ancestral history should be, and how they believe it unfolded through the ages. As if the Igala and other tribes in Kogi, asked them for a tutorial. Anyone with a contrary opinion will be derided by the IPOB crew. They are silly revisionists. They have done it on other threads before. We know their antics! We are watching in 3D. |

YourNemesis: lol, so what does it sound like to you? Gbagyi or Jarawa? At this rate, It will probably take me less than 8 weeks to master the remaining rudiments of Igala language that are unknown to me. I am even thinking of vacationing 1 month in Idah to do just that sef.
I know you have an agenda.... but try to be rational when trying to carry it out. Guy, I don talk say make you leave me and these IPOB people. Na wetin? Who has an agenda? Na you dash me agenda? Ok, now that you have mentioned the word 'agenda', can you tell me exactly what the agenda is, or what kind of agenda you think I have? As for being rational, you should be directing your advice to your IPOB friends, o! They have the highest number of awards for irrationality. Just do a content analysis of all their threads on NL! |

nonsobaba: 96% of the OML 915 & OML 916 falls within Anambra state territory. The remaining 4% is under dispute by Kogi and Enugu states. Orient Petroleum Plc is currently producing petroleum ONLY within Anambra state boundary, so I don't understand why Kogi and Enugu states want to be declared OIL PRODUCING states. What kind of wicked envy is this? 96% of what? Where is your source? Erm, Oga please be informed that the oil wells where Orient is currently operating or conducting its' exploration activities, cover more than 3 states. Those wells are located across Anambra, Kogi, Enugu and other state boundaries. OPL 916 which you referred to consists of oil wells that are dry (i.e. they lack oil). Kindly read the rest of the story here: Kogi Oil: Experts Want Technical Committee on Anambra, Kogi Dispute
Geographically, the Anambra Basin literally sits on top (north) of the Niger Delta and like the Niger Delta, cuts across several states, including Anambra,Benue, Delta, Edo, Enugu and Kogi. The basin, also like the Niger Delta, has been divided into blocks and awarded to various companies with work commitments enshrined in the various agreements signed. That of OPRL is a Sole-Risk Agreement with a commitment to build a refinery.
OPL 915 lies across the states of Anambra, Edo, Enugu and Kogi, with about 50 percent of the block in Kogi, while the remaining states share the other 50 percent. There are four wells drilled on the block by Elf Petroleum – Anambra River-1 in 1967, Anambra River-2 and 3 drilled later in 1984. The company in 1985 drilled Oda River-1. The three Anambra River wells are located in the Anambra State part of the block, while Oda River-1 was drilled in Kogi State. No wells have been drilled in the territories of Edo or Enugu States.
OPL 916, on the other hand, is located immediately south of OPL 915 and covers Anambra, Edo, Delta and Kogi states, with about 80 percent of the block in Anambra State. Like OPL 915, the block has four wells drilled – Nzam-1 (1954) and Alo-1 (1976) both by Shell, while Elf drilled both Okpo-1 and Iji-1 in 1985. According to reports, Alo-1 found gas, while others have ‘dry’ reported as their current status. All wells except Iji-1 are located inside Anambra State. Iji-1 is in Delta State.
The present controversy is caused by the attraction of the 13 percent derivation fund that will start accruing to Anambra State as an oil and gas producing state. If the Anambra River field is entirely situated inside the territory of Anambra State (and this can only be revealed by the seismic data currently being acquired, and new wells that will follow), then all of the benefits will go to the state. On the other hand, if it extends across the state’s boundary, then some aggregation of reserves on both sides will be used as basis to determine what belongs to each state. http://kogireports.com/kogi-oil-experts-want-technical-committee-on-anambra-kogi-dispute/ |
