You are a tribal bigot and it's very obvious. Anybos can compare any city. I can compare Eket to Abuja if i want and it is based on a particular parameter. So, someone saying Enugu is better than Port-hacourt may mean that Enugu is more livable and not that Enugu s more dveeloped. I don't know if you indeed went to Enugu and i'm not saying Enugu is out of this world but it's a moderate city when compared to other cities it's size or age.
I thought mods were supposed to be objective? huh When your people spew crap about other state capitals in the North or West, you keep quiet. When someone makes an unflattering remark about one of your SE capitals like Enugu, you are quick to allege bigotry. May God deliver you! undecided

...Look at your highly biased and one sided description. And to think that you covered it under the guise of "an honest opinion",it's very hard not to call this a diss. Talk about fly overs, i know of the one close to NAF 305 flying school, i also know of the one along airport road, close to NNPC mega station.
And your cover was blown when you said that you didn't notice any much traffic in enugu, doesn't that show an already effective road network, so why the fuss about flyovers?? Flyovers are "purpose built" .
Did you also notice that spar, park n' shop, has an outlet in the newly built Enugu mall?(Not shop rite oo).
Does Ibadan have a spar outlet...??i don't think so.
You also dissed our airport Hahaha ,,, isn't that ironic when Ibadan airport generates less traffic in an entire year than Enugu does in a month?? . In 2016 Ibadan airport serviced about 18,000 air travelers , but Enugu airport serviced close to 400,000 air travelers. What about cash transactions Enugu state always tops Oyo state in terms of volume of cash transactions, despite the massive, massive population difference. Which state is the dead one??
I agree that igbos are giving Enugu undeserved hype and everything but a guy that comes from Ibadan is in absolutely no position to diss Enugu (drops mic, and leaves angrily)
Hehehe.....so finally...someone confirms that Enugu has a functional airport. Anytime I say so on NL, several misguided IPOBians jump up in anger, ready to lynch me for opposing their propaganda that the entire SE region lacks a functional airport. cheesy Wonders shall never cease!

Nigeria is set to get another new oil refinery as a government push to end fuel imports attracts investors to the industry.

Petrolex Oil & Gas Ltd. plans to build a $3.6 billion plant with a capacity of 250,000 barrels a day, Chief Executive Officer Segun Adebutu said in an interview in Lagos. The closely held company is working on the “front-end engineering design” and will complete construction in 2021, he said.

Igbos are not greedy, they dont own the oil blocks, they work whatever they have in Nigeria. They dont go attacking people to take over their lands for grazing etc
Who told you that Igbo people do not own oil blocks? shocked huh

Emeka Offor was awarded an oil license for an oil block OPL 291, through his firm Starcrest. He sold part of it to Addax Petroleum, and made a huge profit.

Prince Arthur Eze is the Chairman and CEO of Atlas and Oranto Petroleum International Limited. He owns OPL 320, OPL 109 and OPL 293 licenses for oil blocks in Nigeria.

ABC Orjiakor owns Seplat which acquired an oil block (OPL 248/OML 56) from the federal govt. Even Ady Uba owns an oil block tagged OPL 286.

Anthony Onoh owns an oil block with license OML 54 which was awarded to his firm Eurafric Energy. Emerald Energy Resources which was awarded OML 141 is owned by JO Amaefule, AC Uzoigwe and FA Njoku in conjunction with others.

Ernest Obiejesi-Azudialu owns an oil field OML 42, which is being operated by his firm Neconde Energy. undecided

they eventually put on the gen. Now imagine that the surgeon had cut a something and was trying to sew it back.

anyways, i still lost the baby as a result of their carelessness. they were short of incubators o. and they was a general hospital
Ah madam, sorry o! shocked I sympathise with you on your loss. Honestly, until nurses, medical doctors, and their directors are sued from head to toe in this country, for huge sums of money, these medical personnel will continue playing ludo with people's lives.

I am quite sure you must have paid upfront for the cesarean section and other procedures, before being take to their theatre. Yet they still chose to be stingy with fuel and generator usage, at that late stage? Read the whole story, and you would discover how unprofessional it was of Sowore to record that conversation without notifying her, and leak it to the public without consent!

LordAdam16:
Yes, go call a Secretary of a US Department on a private number reserved for family, have the call hung up on you, then go release said conversation online. And see if you have a job by the next morning.

There was nothing responsible about that Sowore's encounter with her. She has her official line, official email address, she has an address; place a call or send a mail (physical or electronic) to set up a meet or interview like an ethical journalist. If she doesn't respond, you publish your article and cite the fact that she did not respond after multiple tries. Go read PremiumTimes investigative pieces.

No problem. I'm an igboman. I don't make any apologies for that. This thing were somebody is discussing issues concerning the south east or the igbos, and next thing you know, some people jump in and start talking about abeokuta, lokoja or lafia is beyond me. Though I'm nigerian, my primary focus is what's happening in igbo cities.

We should all be frank enough to discuss how they are, without worrying what somebody from the south west or the north, is saying about them. Of course, I'm also worried about the largest commercial town in nigeria which is Lagos, and Abuja, it's capital. All well meaning igbo sons and daughters all over the world though, should find a way to contribute to the betterment of all these shitty looking igbo cities.

Am happy and glad about igbo enterprises, but unchecked run amock, try to make it by all means type of mindset, have reduced all their cities to complete an utter disorganization and mayhem, where everything under the sun has been allowed to take root. The keke people are all over the place driving through every nook and cranny, against and beside traffic. There are absolutely no traffic rules. Traffic usually happens,99% of the time because somebody have deviated by trying to force their way through.

My biggest ANGER is why the igbo intelligencia are SILENT about these ills. How is it, that they will drive through aba or portharcourt and not say a word about their observation. Why are other igbos like the ones on nairaland so much hyped about makoko or any other town in nigeria, when they should concentrate on what to do about all the shitty looking igbo cities, is beyond me.
