Chiwude: I have had this stance since Kanu came to limelight. Afonja and Almajiri didn't influence my thoughts but the fakery of Kanu. Kanu is fake and his movement won't lead anywhere. He came just like Uwazurike and understood the message that our people wanted to hear, which is not to give you any Biafra but to make fame from it and fester his political career. Kanu has dragged us back politically and would have destroyed us economically had he had his way.

Though her money and parental background would give way to d top for her.congrats young lady Gbam! Practical work experience, 'street credibility,' and exposure to real-life industrial scenarios, is key here. I had a friend who got a scholarship to study abroad for his MSc and later followed it up with a Ph.D in Finance. I was surprised a few years later, to see him working as an investment banker, in a multinational finance firm. When I expressed concern, he said he needed practical hands-on experience in financial circles, in order not to look stupid before his students, when he eventually goes back into the academic world. Some of his prospective students were likely to have experience in the financial sector, and would easily be able to tell if what he taught them was applicable or not, in their field. He felt the experience would also bolster his credentials, and give him a chance to apply the theoretical aspects of the research studies he had conducted, in the real world. |

Can you imagine a Computer Science grad who studied programming riding keke out of joblessness? the fact that a laptop is much cheaper than a keke will interpreted to mean the comp sci grad isn't competent enough to program.
Same logic applies for Microbiology grad from UI. If we must talk about people studying courses we need as a nation then private people should be left out and the subsidized grad should be considered first. Govt is suppose to create enabling environment for job creation and not direct jobs. Are you for real? It is easy to set up a job in microbiology? Do you really know anything about microbiology? Wait first....what is the cost of a good digital microscope these days? And the cost of all other equipment you need to work with, in a good lab? Do you even know how much it costs to set up a functional lab?

According to Prof Okebukola, Less than 20% of microbiology grads form UI end up practicing microbiology. The money spend by FG in subsidizing the remaining 80%+ is wasted. That's taxpayers money. Talk about that and leave private people alone. What are you saying? How many jobs exist for microbiology graduates in this country? Add all the job opportunities in the food & beverage industry, healthcare sector etc together, and it would still not be enough to absorb all the microbiology graduates, from our universities. So how is it their fault, if they eventually end up in the banking sector? Or should they starve to death, while waiting for a job in a field related to their area of specialisation? |

Could you please google OPL126 and OML127 and also the court case that lingered for 20yrs when Nigerian Government thought that the OML was given to the Alakija's without due process. Bro, the family bidded for the oil as no multinational wanted it because of its depth and cost. The bidding process went first round without anyone being interestes. It was the second bidding process that she applied. She wasn't favoured by IBB as you believed. Go to FHC Abuja and Supreme court and make your research. She paid same amount other multinationals paid. NNPC, Petrobras, Statoil are operating partners.
Pls, feel free to ask questions and dont just wish innocent people dead because it my turn back at yoi bro. Please stop wasting time trying to educate the clueless, who are firmly blinded by their prejudice and lack of knowledge. If Shell, Total, Mobil and other foreign multinationals are dashed oil blocks, they see nothing wrong in it. But when a Nigerian pays license fees for an oil block, then goes ahead to take the risk of developing it, using hard work, perseverance, and intelligence, to deploy men, materials and resources to make it profitable, it becomes an anathema to them. It doesn't matter that fellow Nigerians are employed in the endeavour, and contributions are made to the economy. Their bad belle will not allow them to see the merit in that exercise, simply because the recipient of the oil block is a fellow Nigerian. mtcheew! |

safetyInspector: It is better to have well equipped three wheeler ambulance positioned at every two kilometres of our highways and for our villages than to have one ambulance for each local government. Ambulance is for emergency. Many deaths are recorded because of the delay in emergency response team arriving the scene. There is no medical equipment in luxurious ambulance that three wheeler can't carry. If you have been to scene of accident you will notice that having plaster can even save one from bleeding to death. I agree with most of your points, except for the last one. Having plaster cannot save anyone from bleeding to death. If blood loss is substantial, it means a vein has been cut or an artery has been ruptured, or there is severe internal damage. Only well placed sutures, or an emergency surgery to stop the flow of blood and correct the problem, can save a patient from bleeding to death. |

ItsMeAboki: Under normal circumstances one would expect when a man makes an allegation, especially as weighty as that of Danjuma, that he should be asked to substantiate such allegation; but what we have is a roundabout way to avoid challenging this sacred cow.
I strongly recommend that he should be asked to prove to Nigerians how the army was colluding with the herdsmen; the matter must not be allowed to be swept under the carpet in order to give him a soft landing.
Quite on the contrary the likes of Danjuma and the governor are unhappy with army because it promptly intervened to stop their well planned ethnic cleansing genocide against the Fulani in Taraba State - anyone who needs proof should click 'Taraba genocide in Youtube'' to see the evidence for himself,it is all there.
Danjuma is also unhappy with PMB because the president had stopped automatic renewal of oil bloc allocations - we can therefore easily understand his frustration with this administration for blocking the steady inflow of more petrodollar into his account.

Addressing the press on behalf of the coalition, MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu said it was with heavy heart that the group had decided not attend the burial. He said that while alive, Achuzie had instructed that in the event of his death, Biafran veterans, Biafran agitators and traditionalists should be allowed to accord him their last respect. He however, lamented that Achuzies family had gone back on the instructions of their father. He stated that the burial committee had not included the coalition in its plans.
He also said that the coalition was finalising plans on how to commemorate Biafran day on the 30th of May. As if anyone will notice their absence...! Even if they had any grievances, they should have pocketed it, out of respect to the departed man, so that he could be given a befitting burial without any controversy. |

naijabanking: Sigma pension has decided to charge Small and Medium Enterprise to embrace contributory pension scheme by opening a Retirement Savings Accounts under the Contributory Pension Scheme and embrace voluntary contribution for future references.
more details on this type of pension scheme This is something that is highly needed by many MSME firms, but too little awareness has been given to it. The company needs to conduct presentations for organisations such as Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and its member organisations, various firms within the different existing Chambers of Commerce, Nigeria Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Small-scale cooperative associations, Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) and so many other bodies. They need to launch a viral marketing campaign and if possible, open up a portal where people can get info about the scheme and sign up for it! It is time to stop talking and take action. Right now, many MSME think that pension plans are for large, corporate organisations and not for small firms like their own. Pension companies have to partner with them, to change this mindset among the MSME owners. |

The interview was for a technical position and I was interviewed by 2 Engineers and the Human Resources Manager herself. I could tell from the reactions of the Engineers, that they gave me a nod for the position, even the HR Manager was quite impressed with my performance at the interview.
It is now 4 weeks since after my interview and I have only heard from them just once. A lady in the HR department just called me to confirm if I was in Lagos and I told her I am not, I actually work in a different state. Since then, I have not heard from them.
My question is that will I look too forward if I send an email to the HR Manager about the outcome of my interview. I have already sent her an email before and I got that call asking if I am in Lagos a day after I sent her the mail.
Please guys I need your views on this. Send an e-mail to the HR manager, politely asking for feedback on your performance at the interview. Ask him/her if they need further info or clarification from you on anything, and also let them know that you would be interested in relocating, if you are asked to do so. Then wait for a response. Don't forget to thank the HR Manager for making the interview happen in the first place, and give them a promise to do the best you can, if you are eventually asked to come on board. The worst they can say to you, is No! So just do it! |
