Romance › A Note To Young Men. by lavylilly(op): 6:05pm On Jan 06, 2023
A NOTE TO YOUNG MEN.

This content is not for everyone.

Firstly, I'm directing this content to young men who are not married and trying to figure out their lives.

Secondly, I am directing this content to those young men who would agree that they need to hear this.

One way to distract yourself from fixing your life and falling into distractions is by falling in love easily.

A guy that hasn't found himself in life but easily falls in love with women is probably a danger to himself.

It pains me when I see young men who have not defined their lives getting themselves entangled in a love relationship.

You are struggling like hell, nothing productive you are doing but you're busy dating ladies up and down.

Where is the energy?

Like I said, this content is not for everyone.

I am speaking directly to my male gender.

Dear brother...

Leave women alone and go figure out your life.

I am not saying "you must be rich first."

No. No. No.

But you must at least have some direction or focus for your life before you start adding women into it.

Stop carrying someone's daughter and adding to your confusion. Take a break and go fix you, first.

One of the most distracting activities for any man that is fledgling is falling in love with women easily.

Love is emotionally demanding.

When a man falls in love, the lady becomes his distractions. For example, my wife is my distraction.

But because I operate from the place of solidity, I can accommodate the distraction and love her well.

Ladies, don't get angry here.

This is not about you. This is about speaking hard truths to my fellow brothers to save themselves first.

When my life was a big mess, one tough decision I made was to suspend any form of love relationship.

I didn't date any lady for close to 5 years because I needed to concentrate all my energy on fixing me.

So by the time my wife came, she met a focused man.

She met a man that she could trust to lead her because she could tell he was already leading himself.

Listen guys, you might not agree with me.

That's fine.

Don't copy me but reflect on the principle here.

Yes, I know that there are guys who lack direction for their lives and a lady comes and gives them direction.
grin grin grin

But those guys are mostly seen in Nollywood movies.

In real life, they are few and far between.

So listen...

You have a better chance of fixing your life first and falling in love, than waiting for a lady to come fix it for you.

Dear Applicant,

Most adverts are short lengths as your brothers and sisters in employment have a high tendency to resign once they receive their salary when they are tired. So, there is a need to fill up these spaces as soon as possible.

So please, when you see these adverts closing in three days rather than attack the recruitment process if you are interested just send your cv as soon as possible.

Best regards

Why people start businesses has changed.

5 years ago the narrative was to:

> Make a lot of money
> Gain social clout
> Buy a bigger house
> Get the latest gadgets
> Live a flashy lifestyle

Today the narrative is to:

> Have freedom and flexibility
> Bring positivity to the world
> Turn your passion into income
> Unlock your dream lifestyle
> Become your own boss

For the new generation, it's about being happier in life.

It's about being in control.

And I love to see it!

I was 5 when I saw my father do a drug deal.

I always called him a dumb criminal ‍♂️

Not just because he brought his kid along to the exchange. But because he got himself into stupid trouble trying to do the right things out of desperation.

It cost him a lot in life.

‍♂️ He got busted by the police
 He spent time in prison
 He ruined his relationships

I couldn't look up to him as a role model ‍♂️

As a young lad in the states I had to figure it out on my own while trying not to make the same mistakes. My track record in my younger years wasn’t great

But I don't regret it.

Growing up in a turbulent environment isn’t easy. I know hundreds of people reading this will have had some tragic or troubling experience they’ve undergone behind closed doors too.

But I think it’s how you respond that matters.

A dodgy childhood exposed me to right and wrong choices and forced me to make tough and uncomfortable decisions and to take accountability for my f*cked-up choices.

Chaos gave me an identity.

You can’t dodge every punch life throws at you

But you can learn how to hit one back!

As the year comes to a close, here are ten life lessons I picked along the way.

I consider them to be worth sharing:

1. The importance of adaptability: The ability to adapt to change is key to thriving. This year presented unexpected challenges that required me to adapt in ways I didn't expect.

2. The value of resilience: It's important to bounce back from setbacks and keep going. This year tested my resilience, and it's important to remember that it's a valuable quality to cultivate.

3. The importance of self-care: Taking care of oneself is essential for overall well-being. It's important to be available for self-care and prioritise physical, mental, and emotional health.

4. The power of gratitude: Practicing gratitude helped me focus on the positive aspects of my life and find joy in the present moment.

5. The importance of relationships: Strong relationships with family, friends, and colleagues can provide support, connection, and a sense of belonging.

6. The value of hard work: Hard work and dedication can lead to personal and professional success.

7. The importance of learning: Lifelong learning help improve as individuals.

8. The power of forgiveness: Forgiving others and myself helped me move forward and heal from past mistakes and hurt.

9. The importance of honesty: Being honest with yourself and others can help build trust and improve relationships.

10. The value of balance: It's essential to balance work, personal life, and leisure activities to maintain overall well-being.

Which of these can you relate to?

P:S Some of these aren’t new, but I experienced a lot that helped me see them in a new light.
